When she's not busying painting the border wall black, it looks like Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem could be making plans for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to own and operate its own fleet of airplanes in order to expedite deportations. The idea makes so much sense that even a Biden administration official thinks it's a good idea. [Tweet]
A report popped up Wednesday that Noem was looking to use an influx of cash into ICE, courtesy of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), to equip the agency with the equivalent of its own airline

I thought the military pilots were using military planes as part of their training.

I suggest using the old C-130 Hercules. It was reliable, slow and loud, and the seats were nets that hung off the inside of the fuselage. Yes, they were uncomfortable with all our knees interlocked, but it beat walking to deployments. If its good enough for the GI's, its good enough for the illegals.

How about those planes the 82nd Airborne uses for training? Easy peasy.

Who would want to be on an airliner with a load of criminal illegals? Not me.

FAFO Flight Services. How about a trusty C5, think how many it’d hold. Just open the back and ‘viola’, easy distribution!

Unfortunately, once identified as ICE specific planes, Flight Tracker can easily determine what city is tomorrow.
Then the America last Marxists give the criminals a heads up.

#7: Who says ICE has to inform them? Did ICE in the previous administration tell everyone when a flight arranged by the "CBP-1" app dropped a plane load of illegals into the interior of the US at a domestic airport with no US Customs inspection? I don't think so. No reason why Secretary Noem has to "play nice" with domestic enemies...

#3 chumley. I flew in a C-130 from Vietnam to Gulfport, Mississippi in 1968. It took a very, very long time. And you are right about the conditions.

Once all the illegals are returned home, Mexico might be able to field a pretty good Olympic track and field team. As it is, all the Mexicans who can run, jump, or swim are already in the US.

Given that the goal is to get the numbers of illegal down to zero, not sure buying planes for ICE is a good idea. I am sure that the military or other government agencies have plenty of existing planes. In a pinch, you can hire a private sector carrier.

Whatever method gets those invaders back to their home lands is fine with me. If European "leaders" have an ounce of sense they will begin following our lead if they want a continent that is not a caliphate. I'm not sure that they do.

Buying the airplanes would be a bad idea. The rule is “ if it floats, flies or the other ‘f’, lease it!”

As a former Crew Chief of a C-130, I have to say, it was noisy and uncomfortable, but it was dependable. My last year was at Pope AFB and I saw a lot of grunts jump out of a perfectly good airplane, like the sign in our ready room stated.

It makes sense for them to have their own fleet. The planes would need some equipment to keep those criminals from harming the crew or damaging the aircraft. Also, to have guards watching them to keep things under control which can't be done on a commercial plane.

I thought that ICE already had use of US Government aircraft when necessary, they are referred to as being C-17s, and are assigned to various squadrons of the USAF?
