How can socialist Zohran Mamdani revel
in his family’s colonial privilege?

Original Article

Monday’s mass shooting is a problem for Zohran Mamdani not just thanks to his long record of cop-bashing, but because he was off vacationing at the family estate in Uganda when it happened. Any candidate could have been out of town in late July, but no others would be partying at a grand colonial compound an ocean away from home. And it’s an extra-icky look for a socialist who’s supposedly pro-equality and anti-imperialistic. Yes, the gated Mamdani spread in the ritzy Buziga Hill neighborhood of Kampala, Uganda, belongs to Zohran’s Hollywood-director mom and Columbia radical-prof dad, but he plainly feels fully privileged to enjoy it.

How does he square his anti-police stance with this? FTA: And the belated wedding celebration with his wife, Rama Duwaji, ran for three days, a party guarded by a privacy-ensuring phone-jamming system, and a mini army of private security: no fewer than 20 special forces soldiers by the property gate to guard the invite-only event.

Think the media has this commi's name spelled wrong, The "m" and "d" are reversed and the "i" should be a number" A more fitting spelling would be Madman1.

His family is rich? They have estates in Uganda.? What the hell does he want to be Mayor of New York for? If he wants to help the poor he should go home and help his own people. Why would a Ugandan Muslim feel he should be New York's Mayor? If the New Yorker's elect this guy they are even dumber than I give them credit for.

How is the city going to pay for all the free stuff Mandami has promised when the tax base leaves? The auto-pen cabal is no longer in charge of bailing out feckless cities. I am old and recall when NYC was bankrupt under Abe Beam and was begging for congress to bail them out with our federal tax dollars.

Last week, Texas House Republicans introduced a redistricting proposal that could net five new GOP seats. The draft congressional map, which is likely to change before approval by both state legislative chambers, aims to redraw district lines to include more Republican-leaning areas in Democratic strongholds like Dallas and Houston. Crockett, who serves Texas’ 30th Congressional District, which represents a large part of Dallas, has called the redistricting effort "a power grab to silence voters."
