The Democratic National Committee (DNC) drew widespread mockery Thursday over a since-deleted social media post that showed how the cost of groceries skyrocketed under former President Joe Biden. The X post included a graph of soaring cheese, alcohol, dairy, grocery, produce and meat prices dating back to October 2019, with the major inflection point being near the start of the Biden administration in 2021. “Trump’s America,” read the tweet shared by @TheDemocrats. “Prices are higher today than they were on July 2024 all in major categories listed below,” read the caption on the graphic, which did not note the source of the data.

I dont doubt that the dems and their communist policies are to blame, but I really hate it when the republicans trot out their talking heads telling me how much cheaper things have gotten under Trump. If all I bought was eggs maybe, but I buy a lot more than that. Everything is more expensive and continues to climb. Lying like a democrat does not help their already minimal credibility.

It is amazing that the dems are this stupid. Of course with the results of the Biden admin being so consistently lousy it is not surprising that all of those people are this dumb. However, with so much on the line for them, you would think they would dig up some clever people somewhere. Either the truth is SO BAD for the dems that there is NOTHING they can say in their own support, or they really all are that stupid. Maybe both. But MAN!, that is a LOT of chickens coming home to roost. I guess once you have painted yourself into the stupid corner, there really isn't anything you can do to get out with clean feet. and without leaving "I really am this stupid" footprints.

I consider the grocery stores and gasoline stations that keep raising prices with no other reason than corporate greed in the last six months to be attempting to help the democrats and will shop around accordingly. Walmart has been especially blatant. I saw a bag of apples the other day for ten bucks and nearly choked. The Organic scam is also getting worse.

The democrats lie, and the White House responds by putting the blame where it belongs. Tell me #4, how is that "lying like the democrats"? Did you expect prices to immediately revert to 2020 levels? Really? Did you actually look at the graph? But I do love the picture of the guy standing in the produce section looking at a receipt. He has half a cart of groceries and a receipt that is 4 feet long. Where did it come from before he checks out, and why is it so long? I don't usually look at a receipt while I'm next to the onions. Lol.

I know President Trump has his hands full but I hope once he’s done securing our international interests he will focus on the domestic inflation. We’re 7 months into his term and there’s no relief for food prices. American families have been hurting for 4+ years now, it’s time to put American families first.

Inflation will continue until our government gets its out of control spending and waste under control. Not going to happen. I blame the Democrats, but also blame the Republicans too. The Republicans could have done more to put a stop to this. The one person I don't blame is Trump. The judiciary and Congress try to torpedo Trump at every opportunity. I'm not taking sides in this. I'm blaming EVERYONE.

This is a prime example of the lack of cognitive ability in most leftists. Those leftists who DO have any cognitive ability are the evil leaders of the push for communism in this country. The rest fit the first sentence. . .just mindless sheep. As far as inflation and prices decreasing, I think if anyone will succeed in doing one or both it'll be President Trump. President Trump has definitely slowed both but it'll take more time to reverse them. Let's see what the next quarter results look like, and also remember people like Powell and leftist business owners trying to slow President Trump's progress down. I'm optimistic he'll deliver despite those treacherous toads.

The Federal Reserve System's target for "acceptable" year-to-year inflation is 2% so average prices, just like one's age, are guaranteed be "higher" than than last year's. Inflation under President Trump, however, is close to the 2% target, in marked contrast to Biden inflation. Any dollar one had in the bank when Biden took office was worth 20% less by the end of his term.

First... When less than 1/3 of 8th graders are up to their grade in math skills... it is easy for people to be mislead when it come to numbers. Inflation HAS gone up under Trump... fact. Inflation is SUPPOSED to go up about 2-2.5% per year. That is 100% normal. What we have here is Biden's horrible inflation having given way to NORMAL inflation. The 9-10% inflation in the worst year of Biden is STILL present in the cost of goods and services. Lowering INFLATION does NOT lower prices. It slows down the GROWTH of those prices. All Trump can do is change the RATE of inflation to a lower number and, so far, that is what has happened.

President Trump has “leveraged American bargaining power” with three Asian nations this week — and given himself momentum ahead of the looming Aug. 1 deadline for most “reciprocal tariffs,” experts predict. Trump secured Japan’s agreement to pay a 15% tariff on exports to the US while making $550 billion in new investments in America in what he called a “signing bonus” — while Indonesia and the Philippines said they would accept 19% tariffs on their goods while applying 0% tariffs on US products. “I was a little bit surprised by the extent to which the US, at least at this stage of the game,

The climate alarmists regularly seize on weather events they believe will help them exploit their narrative. Naturally, they ignore contradictory information. So we see it as our duty to fill in the gaps from time to time. Following are a few examples that show why the global warming story is less scientific theory than conjecture in the service of a political agenda. Let’s begin in the West Arctic, where the Northwest Passage is experiencing its third-highest level of sea ice extent in the last two decades. In 2009, Al Gore said, with his usual galling listen-to-me certainty,

Among the climatically correct, nothing is more scandalous than describing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions as beneficial. You can be blacklisted from public forums, professional networking sites, and even be removed from your tenured university position as an accomplished scientist. Nonetheless, the truth is this: CO2 is fundamental to the photosynthetic process by which plants make food for themselves -- and ultimately for us. Furthermore, the increase in atmospheric CO2 from industrial activity in the past century has helped vegetation over most of the planet to flourish. Also benefiting plants has been the relative warmth of recent decades.

Posted by Mercedes44 7/23/2025 6:19:26 AM Post Reply
President Trump appropriated the phrase “fake news” and applied it to dishonest media (print, networks, websites, podcasts, etc.). Most fake news isn’t incorrect facts or flat-out lies; that’s way too obvious and easy to prove wrong. Instead, most fake news is done by omission — telling part of the story so the reader comes to a different conclusion or completely omitting the story so the reader has no idea that it ever happened. A great example of fake news by omission was during the 2020 election cycle, when most “mainstream” media refused to report on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
