Fact Checking The Climate Claims

The climate alarmists regularly seize on weather events they believe will help them exploit their narrative. Naturally, they ignore contradictory information. So we see it as our duty to fill in the gaps from time to time. Following are a few examples that show why the global warming story is less scientific theory than conjecture in the service of a political agenda. Let’s begin in the West Arctic, where the Northwest Passage is experiencing its third-highest level of sea ice extent in the last two decades. The best results in the fight against climate lies is that the public has become dubious about the claims and has a Ho Hum attitude about the latest panicked proclamations. The Climate Catastrophe crowd rode the coattails of an environment movement that, quite correctly, said we had polluted water, air, and ground and forced successful cleanup of much of the mess and established monitoring to avoid renewed damage. This was appropriately celebrated by most Americans. Liberals, always looking for tools to use against Capitalism, coopted the movement to attack business with nebulous and unprovable predictions of future damage that has NEVER come true. Much of the threats predicted have been proven false over decades of real outcomes. Most of the predictive technology has been shown to be useless and other, more likely explanations have emerged. For example, well known physical laws make it impossible for rising CO2 to ramp up heat effects. Most of the increase in heat from rising CO2 has already happened. Doubling the CO2 from 400 ppm to 800 ppm will have little additional effect. Yet the scaremongers' models push explosive heating due to rising CO2. Alternatively, the increased CO2 HAS yielded a lusher green planet with significantly increased crop yields. We need to take a hard look at REAL science and what we DO know and what is made up speculation spun out of flawed computer models of a climate system too complex to be accurately modeled. We need to be doubtful about scare stories about the future and react to current and measurable conditions and deal with reality, NOT speculation.

Fact check those making the climate claims, and their motives. I think all will find that they are not "experts", that we are paying them, and all are Democrats.

Where I live, it just got summer hot, in the 90's. That usually happens in late May or early June. But July 15th, the hot weather arrived. I hate summer. But what I hate more than anything is the made up "Heat Index." If it's 95 degrees here, the heat index, according to one weather man last year, was 123 degrees. No it wasn't. If the thermometer says 95, then it's 95. Anyway, glad all these big, scary proclamations are being debunked. There might be some seeding going on, but earth is just fine. Leave her alone.

Among the climatically correct, nothing is more scandalous than describing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions as beneficial. You can be blacklisted from public forums, professional networking sites, and even be removed from your tenured university position as an accomplished scientist. Nonetheless, the truth is this: CO2 is fundamental to the photosynthetic process by which plants make food for themselves -- and ultimately for us. Furthermore, the increase in atmospheric CO2 from industrial activity in the past century has helped vegetation over most of the planet to flourish. Also benefiting plants has been the relative warmth of recent decades.
The ultimate fake news by omission 1 reply

President Trump appropriated the phrase “fake news” and applied it to dishonest media (print, networks, websites, podcasts, etc.). Most fake news isn’t incorrect facts or flat-out lies; that’s way too obvious and easy to prove wrong. Instead, most fake news is done by omission — telling part of the story so the reader comes to a different conclusion or completely omitting the story so the reader has no idea that it ever happened. A great example of fake news by omission was during the 2020 election cycle, when most “mainstream” media refused to report on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

As RedState reported, the judges of the U.S. District Court in New Jersey voted to oust Alina Habba from her role as the top federal prosecutor in the state. That came after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) publicly demanded the move, claiming she was a "woefully unqualified political hack," leading the Department of Justice to decry what they saw as a politically motivated decision.Because Habba has not been confirmed by the U.S. Senate, her appointment had a 120-day expiration, with the district court judges in question having the ability to keep her in the position. Instead, they refused and hand-selected her replacement, Desiree Grace,

There was a theme to the Obama years: say one thing, mean another, and spin it all as “historic.” This week, Barack Obama trotted out that same tired formula—this time in response to the bombshell DNI report declassified last Friday. His statement? “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes.” Cute. But irrelevant. Because no one—certainly not the DNI—claimed Russia manipulated votes. That’s not the point. The actual claim from the Director of National Intelligence—now Tulsi Gabbard—is that Obama-era officials manufactured a narrative, suppressed contradictory intelligence,

15 months. That is how much time we have left until Arizona can elect a new governor, and it couldn’t come soon enough. Since taking office in 2023, Katie Hobbs has been a complete disaster. The heights of her corruption have certainly been well documented. From her illegal use of public resources to solicit money for her inauguration, to an alleged pay-to-play schemebetween Hobbs and an Arizona group home that donated to her inauguration, to shelling out $700,000 to a company owned by the brother of the now-former Office of Tourism Director to create a new state logo,

Less than a month after Donald Trump’s intervention against the Iranian nuclear program illustrated the depth of the de facto U.S.-Israel alliance, the administration has reportedly become frustrated with its counterparts in Jerusalem. Axios reporter Barak Ravid recently revealed that Trump’s aides and perhaps even Trump himself (Ravid could not confirm as much) have been aggravated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s continued prosecution of the conflicts around Israel’s borders, particularly last week’s strikes on targets inside Syria. One unnamed Trump official said Netanyahu’s “trigger finger is too itchy.” Another called the prime minister a “madman” who “bombs everything all the time.” ...

As Jim Geraghty, Noah Rothman, Charlie Cooke, and Jeff Blehar have detailed at length, there were ample reasons for CBS to pull the plug on Stephen Colbert’s tenure as host of The Late Show, and to go a step further and kill the program. Those reasons were commercial (Colbert was losing the network some $40 million a year, his still-substantial audience was a fraction of what he used to draw, and its average age of 68 made it an undesirable market for advertisers), artistic (the shrill, one-note politics and parade of partisan guests),

Recently Al Qaeda/ISIS took over Syria. This development was greeted with cheers from world leaders who had been working toward this very goal from the Arab Spring days. Now, they assured us, Syria would become a democratic paradise full of human rights. Three lessons here. 1. Letting Turkey put Al Qaeda in charge of Syria was a bad idea. 2. This is the Islamic norm. And anywhere they take power, this is what will happen to non-Muslims. Let's not let it happen to us. 3. When Israel prevents a genocide, it's accused of genocide.

President Donald Trump weighed in on Senator Adam Schiff's alleged mortgage fraud troubles late Sunday evening, claiming the Democrat is in "big trouble" and demanding he face prison time for his actions. Schiff is under scrutiny following a criminal referral sent by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in May. The referral alleges that Schiff misrepresented his primary residence on mortgage documents for a Potomac, Maryland property between 2003 and 2019 to secure more favorable loan terms. A Fannie Mae memo concluded that Schiff engaged in a sustained pattern of possible occupancy misrepresentation in "multiple instances."

Barack Obama has broken his silence on calls from Donald Trump for him to be prosecuted by unequivocally rejecting his successor’s accusations that he tried to engineer a “coup” following Trump’s 2016 election victory by “manufacturing” evidence of Russian interference. Obama’s office took the unusual step of issuing an emphatic refutation after Trump told reporters that his predecessor had “[tried] to lead a coup” against him and was guilty of “treason” over intelligence assessments suggesting that Russia had intervened to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton in the campaign. “Out of respect for the office of the presidency,

Stephen Colbert wants you to believe he's some kind of martyred truth-teller, canceled by the evil corporate overlords for daring to speak truth to power about Donald Trump. He’s not. It's a compelling narrative, if you're the type who still thinks late-night comedy hosts are brave crusaders rather than overpaid establishment mouthpieces. But, rather than accept reality, he’s leaning into the preferred narrative that he’s being silenced and that it’s President Trump’s fault.

California’s new $20-per-hour minimum wage for fast food workers has resulted in a significant decline in employment in that sector, leading to 18,000 fewer jobs than would have been the case otherwise. That’s according to a new paper released by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) this month, which said: We analyze the effect of California’s $20 fast food minimum wage, which was enacted in September 2023 and went into effect in April 2024, on employment in the fast food sector. In unadjusted data from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, we find that employment in California’s fast food sector declined by 2.7 percent
