There is no evidence... that Jews were behind the alleged arson. [US Ambassador to Israel Mike] Huckabee should be commended for understanding that the Palestinians had lied to him when they claimed that Jews were behind the arson. "In recent days, a despicable and false blood libel has been raging around the world against the settlements, reminiscent of dark periods in Europe, and it has so far managed to deceive quite a few lovers of Israel in the US... No 'nationalist crime' event by Jews was carried out, no church was set on fire, and no cemetery was desecrated. Exactly the opposite

Comments:

First of all, the church is solid stone and cannot be set on fire. Second, the fire was set by Palestinians in a pasture used by the Israelis to graze their sheep. Third, footage purporting to be Israelis running to set the church on fire was actually showing Israelis running to put out the fire. And last, I hope Amb. Huckabee learned that following their leaders, jihadist Arabs lie as easily as they breathe, and the media worldwide swallow the lies like they were candy.

A lesson I learned in Israel (working, oil related) was the Palestinian Christian leaders (typically a variety of Greek or other Orthodox) had Stockholm Syndrome from living among the Muslims. Hated Jews stronger than Muslims hated Jews. Think Sirhan Sirhan, for example. Not all, not even most. But, by far, the loudest. So the pronouncements from various “leaders” were immediately suspect. This was in contrast to the Christian population, writ large, which is the richest, most educated, and happiest demographic in Israel. Thriving and probably the only long term viable Christian population in Israel, as it is growing commas opposed to being decimated everywhere else. Long way of saying, filter your news, especially if the speaker is wearing a funny hat.

There might have been some maniac settlers, but good to know that did not happen. May God bless them all, and may their hostages come home soon and safe.

But then again there's this: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/3-dead-dozens-injured-after-israel-bombs-catholic-church-in-gaza/. Stop pushing the idea that Israel can do no wrong because of heretical dispensationalist beliefs. Both Muslims and Jews, being non baptized, hold Christians in contempt.

The difference is, #3, that Hamas INTENTIONALLY targets churches, while Israel does not. No one is claiming that Israel is perfect, but if you can't see the difference between the two, then you're not doing your homework!

#3. Utter nonsense. And please don’t commingle your anti-joo slurs. This was rural Judea. The church incident you post about was in Gaza, in a deserted Catholic Church where a smooth bore tank shell shanked and hit the Church located immediately next to Hamas HQ (which is conveniently located on confiscated Church property — confiscated by Hamas). A janitor and handyman were killed and the lone priest slightly injured. No parishioners were injured, having long been killed by Hamas or expelled from Gaza. That tank shell is a horrible accident, but such happens when Hamas constructs buildings with an eye to having human shields.

#3. Some of us won't vilify you for having a different point of view. I don't pretend to know the truth but I do believe you are right that neither Jews nor Muslims have any love to spare for Christians especially in that part of the world. On this site any critique of the policies and actions of the nation state of Israel will get you slandered as a Jew hater. It's like the race card. And like the race card, it's stops having any effect the more it's used.

The fruitful results of increasing CO2 10 replies

Among the climatically correct, nothing is more scandalous than describing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions as beneficial. You can be blacklisted from public forums, professional networking sites, and even be removed from your tenured university position as an accomplished scientist. Nonetheless, the truth is this: CO2 is fundamental to the photosynthetic process by which plants make food for themselves -- and ultimately for us. Furthermore, the increase in atmospheric CO2 from industrial activity in the past century has helped vegetation over most of the planet to flourish. Also benefiting plants has been the relative warmth of recent decades. Among the beneficiaries are fruit plants, whose sensitivity to cold is well established.

Half the country is up in arms about President Donald Trump’s inexplicable decision to mock his base, because many are appalled that Attorney General Pam Bondi seems to be orchestrating a coverup of a serial rapist of children. (Snip) Because I spent decades in the same elite liberal circles that sheltered Epstein, I am not puzzled. It has, in my view, to do with “the network.” I think that it is likely that multiple people who are critical to this administration’s success — my guess is, that these are mostly guys from the Silicon Valley community (Snip)— whether they are innocent or guilty, are in the Epstein files.

The floodgates holding back long-buried classified documents exposing government efforts to claim Donald Trump conspired with Vladimir Putin to manipulate the 2016 U.S. presidential election might finally be opening. Trump administration officials held an urgent meeting Sunday to discuss “new information on Russiagate,” which they might use to build a criminal conspiracy case against Obama and Biden administration political appointees who allegedly weaponized the government against Trump, (Snip) The documents are said to contain long-classified information, including a secret 200-page congressional audit that reveals details about how an intelligence community assessment on Russia ordered by President Obama after the 2016 election was framed in a way that portrayed Trump as

The storms in rural Texas have been devastating, and the Trump Administration has acted swiftly. (Snip) FEMA’s initial slow response under the Biden Administration has been well-documented, and the partisan way that they provided assistance is reprehensible. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, noting the early inaction, was incensed. She claimed that the weather was being used as a weapon. Where MTG got her information is still uncertain. It is, however, becoming clearer as time marches on that governments around the world have been exploring the potential for controlling the weather. This quest goes back many decades, and the doubting Thomases among us are being naive.

Still reveling in his political comeback after surviving two near-miss assassination attempts, last December, then-President-elect Trump stopped by the Christmas party of the Secret Service detail that was responsible for both saving his life and the failures that nearly ended it. (Snip) Fast forward seven months, just days away from the one-year anniversary of the failures at the Butler rally: The Secret Service announced limited disciplinary actions for those it deemed responsible for security lapses. Six agents, including Myosoty Perez, whom Trump was referring to at the December party, have been placed on 10-42 days of unpaid leave for their roles in the egregious security breaches.

Last year, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, despite being in her early 50s and having an undistinguished career before her affirmative action appointment, published a memoir. You might be forgiven for having missed it when “Lovely One” came out. As the media politely notes, it was “briefly” on the New York Times bestseller list and is now going for half price on Amazon. That is mostly to be expected of the ghostwritten memoir of an obscure judge. Except that Jackson received a $893,750 advance for her memoir and is now reporting $2 million in profits last year. These would be record numbers for a Supreme Court Justice’s biography from a book

Last week, Israel launched a bold and necessary campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran — a regime that has spent the last four decades chanting “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” while funding terror from Beirut to Baghdad. Jerusalem had hoped that, in this historic moment, the United States — and particularly President Donald Trump — would rise to meet it. Barack Obama has broken his silence on calls from Donald Trump for him to be prosecuted by unequivocally rejecting his successor’s accusations that he tried to engineer a “coup” following Trump’s 2016 election victory by “manufacturing” evidence of Russian interference. Obama’s office took the unusual step of issuing an emphatic refutation after Trump told reporters that his predecessor had “[tried] to lead a coup” against him and was guilty of “treason” over intelligence assessments suggesting that Russia had intervened to help Trump defeat Hillary Clinton in the campaign. “Out of respect for the office of the presidency,

California’s new $20-per-hour minimum wage for fast food workers has resulted in a significant decline in employment in that sector, leading to 18,000 fewer jobs than would have been the case otherwise. In unadjusted data from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, we find that employment in California’s fast food sector declined by 2.7 percent

Here's a common tactic of the legacy media: Find an activist with credentials in a field they haven't worked with in years, someone with a laundry list of made-up grievances, someone fundamentally bitter and angry, and have them speculate on some personal aspect of a person they've never met or spoken with. Case in point: CNN recently trotted out a Dr. Chris Pernell, a left-wing activist who hasn't practiced medicine since her residency, to remote-diagnose President Trump's chronic venous insufficiency. It should come as no surprise that she immediately started crying the president's doom.
