Before I complete the first sentence of this article, I'm confident that most if not all who read it can agree on at least one thing: The United Nations — the UN Human Rights Council, in particular —has not only disproportionately condemned Israel, for decades; it has also been inherently adversarial to the United States with respect to many U.S. positions and initiatives, for decades.
That said, it comes as zero surprise that United Nations Secretary General António Guterres has condemned President Donald Trump's attack on Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend, while saying zero about the radical Islamists intentionally targeting Israeli civilian areas, including a civilian hospital.

Oh, stop it! The useless head of a useless organization. The UN should have been dumped decades ago.

Guteres expressed no escalation alarms as Iran has rained thousands of missiles onto Israel over the last year. I hope Trump forces other nations to pay their share for funding the UN, and stops funding those efforts that are anti-American.

Decades of toothless warnings for their nuke development to cease were met with decades of empty promises and obstinate noncompliance. To continue that dance for even another few steps would allow them to achieve the goal. And the mullahs having the nuke would have been a far more dangerous escalation.

When are we going to plant the UN garbage group into a third world country. Perhaps we should ask the Rockefeller trash if they own some property there and that they will be more than willing to help out. Ooops ,I forgot the space in NYC belongs to this trash family as well.

A failed, election-losing, socialist Portugese politician who ran Portugal into the ground, so that his party was fired by the people.

If the UN Secretary General is "gravely alarmed" that means our President did the right thing.

What does he call it when a major sponsor of world terrorism decides to develop nuclear weapons? Whatever they pay him to call it, I suppose. But it seems like they’ve been escalated for years.

Who? What? Maybe getting the UN out of the US is next or at least somewhere on the bucket list of PDT's second term.

#16 may have it right. The UN Anti-American employees would be devastated if we kicked them out. No more fancy meals, no more expensive wines and apartments on their country's dime (and some of ours). They are long past their sell-by date and serve no useful purpose. The UN is now an adversary of the US. Get rid of them or at least cut off ALL our funding.

OK L-Dotters..... someone fill me in.
Has the UN done ANYTHING useful in the last, say, 40 years that justifies the money that Americans spend on it?
I understand it was started with good intentions. But it seems that it has become nothing more than a cesspool of corruption and anti-American vitriol.

The only thing better than getting rid of Guterres would be to drop out of the UN, which would essentially kill it without our money to support it. I wonder if DOGE has come to that conclusion yet? Turn that building into an ICE processing center. New York taxi drivers and hookers would be adversely affected.

Where is the outrage from him when Iran was shooting missiles at Israel or Russia at Ukraine? The UN is useless and either needs to reform or we should just bow out gracefully.
