Authorities issued a warning that US Central Command (CENTCOM)'s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar could be the target of an imminent Iranian attack, The Jerusalem Post was told on Monday evening by a source familiar with the details. Al Udeid Air Base is the largest US base in the Middle East, and serves as the forward headquarters for CENTCOM, accommodating approximately 10,000 troops. Israel has successfully drawn the US into a war with Iran. So now what, revenge strike on Iran. John Bolton and Lady Lindsey must be loving this.

This is a silly response. To take out the risk of a nuclear Iran without any US casualties is quite remarkable. To quake in your boots because our soldiers have to go to a shelter for such a success shows incredible short sightedness and cowardice.

All this tells me is that there are more targets available in Iran.

What would have been our response if we had not taken out their nuclear sites and they attacked our military bases in the Mideast? They have been set up for years to be able to try and damage some of our people. Those in charge are barbaric tyrants. I say kick their ass once and for all with air power and what remains can deal with it.

All missiles were intercepted, no damage on the ground.

Some commenters seem to need to switch to decaf, and improve reading comprehension of news stories. Claims that don't match reality are just an embarrassment.

Israel and America need to keep targeting Iran's military capabilities.
Sooner or later, whomever is in charge of the military will think about getting rid of the clerics.

Wow! What did President Trump say? Retaliate and the consequences will be in a category all its own? I also think he said he rejected the assassination of the main maniac because he had not killed any of our people, as a warning. He's about to prove to the world that President Trump is a man of his word.

As all missiles were intercepted I would let the IAF respond. If they still don’t get the message send in the B-52s. Memories of what happened to Saddam’s Republican Guard are still fresh.

Agree with#15. They are trying to save some face. I hope they have shelters for their goats. I don't think DJT is considering sending any of its soldiers. Between the IAF and USAF they can turn all of Iran into rubble. Civilians will be spared as much as possible unlike the mad mullahs who like to target the innocent. See 7, October.

Iran warned the US ahead of time. This is a face saving measure of a limited response in hopes Trump will not respond, and Trump has signaled he may not. Iran told it's people it send 70 missiles (but only sent 7), and told them the base was obliterated. They are smart and may avoid US in the war directly.

Qatar claims Iran sent a warning before launching missiles at U.S. military base there. I say Qatar is not our friend, and at the least a double agent.

Probably the 7 last missiles that Iran still has.
They insist on FAFO, and IMO they should be the recipients of plenty of it.
For years they have been dicking around, threatening and encouraging terrorism all over the Middle east, it's time to flush this excrement.

Re #19, wishful thinking. It's something like 100 miles from Iran to Qatar, so these would be some of their short range ballistic missiles that are substantially cheaper, more available and not capable of reaching Israel, so not previously used.
My bet is that the longest range missiles are down to perhaps a few hundred left, but that the short range missiles are likely in the 1,000+ range right now.
Estimates of total Iranian ballistic missile stocks pre-war were between 2,500 and 3,000. They have fired perhaps 1,000 or less. How that numerical estimate breaks out for short range, intermediate range and long range....I sure don't know and I think even IDF and CIA experts don't either.
So, maybe the longest range stuff is mostly used up, but intermediate and short range is likely still there in significant numbers, easily hundreds, possibly well over 1,000.

Re the off topic posts. Somehow having sex with a willing 17 or 16 year old doesn't sound to me like a pedophile. IMO, anyone that has sex with a child under 12 should be taken out back and shot, body dumped in a landfill.
But, while it is illegal, and should be to have sex with underage girls, it seems like a very different thing when they are nearly 18. I remember once in college at age 21 meeting a really nice looking young woman at a party. I was thinking about what might happen between us, but that's as far as it got. I found out a few days later that she was 15.....going on 23. I challenge anyone to be certain of the right age in that range, for some women.
NONE of that excuses the rotten trash who Epstein entertained with underage girls, but they weren't in the category of pedophiles, AFAIK. Underage, yes. Illegal, yes. Rotten, yes.

If the cease-fire doesn't hold, seems like priority #1 for the IAF will be to locate and destroy every remaining functional missile launcher in Iran. If Iran resumes firing shorter-range missiles at its immediate neighbors, it will be time for their air forces -- with USAF help -- to conduct similar search and destroy missions. One thing seems clear to me: It's time for a new class of interceptor missiles that can be launched from fighter jets, because Israel has shown it's possible to achieve air supremacy and knock down those missiles at the launch point... only there are no means right now.
