Israel needs a 15-ton ‘bunker buster’ bomb to destroy the last untouched nuclear facility in Iran, but only the US has one.
Such a powerful weapon – the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal – is needed because the target, Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, is built some 300 feet inside a mountain near the city of Qom, two hours south of Tehran.
The heavyweight explosive is known as a GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator and was designed by Boeing for the United States Air Force.
Its huge weight means it can only be delivered with a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber – a jet Israel’s air force does not possess.

Not a "Daisy Cutter," which was used to clear all vegetation and obstacles to establish Drop/Landing Zones where for airborne/airmobile troops during conflicts. It was first employed during the Vietnam War. That model, known as the BLU-82, is a 15,000 pound bomb delivered by parachute that uses a 38 inch extender for the fuze to detonate it at the right height above ground level for maximum effectiveness. The bomb has a reported blast radius of up to 900 feet. Only 225 were built, and was replaced by the GBU-43/B MOAB. Neither of these bombs is used for ground penetration. That role is assigned to the GBU-57A/B MOP or "Massive Ordinance Penetrator," which can only be dropped from either the B-52 (test platform), B-2, or its successor, B-21. It might be argued that the IDF could now practically "walk in" to the Iranian facility now that Air Superiority has been achieved. Iran may have only stationed a minimum of ground forces at these locations, not fearing airborne assaults taking place against it. It's hard to say how cohesive the Iranian military might be at this moment, since so many of their top commanders have been, shall we say, "neutralized?"

In every war the US tried to be sneaky and US pilots wore foreign ally uniforms and flew planes with the markings changed to those of the foreign nation. I'm sure they are putting Stars of David on a B2 as we speak. The military is pretty transparent.

It will be delivered, in one way or another. The nuclear threat over the rest of the world cannot stand. Take the mullahs and the rest of their leaders out and blow it to pieces from the inside.

The GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator could be dropped from a C-130.

The site has entrances , make it so dangerous to approach an entrance that no one will go near.

The bottom line is that Iran's nuclear capability must be destroyed in order for the world to survive the next decade without millions of people dying from radiation poisoning because once the mullahs have their weapon it is one hundred percent guaranteed that they will use it. The problem is that many detractors of President Trump don't want him to have the victory so they are preaching against the US dropping the bomb. There is not enough time left to train an Israeli B2 pilot. I don't care if France drops it with Baron Manfred von Richthofen's triplane, just do it.

There was some sort of armament used when there was an attempt to bet Osama bin Laden our of a cave which was very effective in collapsing a cave, he had been hiding in, but he had left there well before it was directed there. Our information was not timely enough. Same for attempting to get Saddam Hussien to preempt getting drawn in deeper-- he was gone before it rained down on him.
President Reagan ordered in air strikes against Libya's Muammar Gaddafi who has nuclear ambitions which convinced him to give up his plans to do so.
What Iran has been doing with great help from the piles and piles of cash and the leeway of an agreement NoBama offered them has pushed on to this point in time endangering U.S. forces serving in the Middle East region BECAUSE of what he did in allowing this to happen and this kind of predicament threatening World Peace could have been avoided.
It might take something massive used in a one- two- punch to do the job using a MOAB type device. One has to wonder about the collateral results of the radiation after deployment being effectively contained underground.

The USA should stop talking and just wipe out that Iranian Fordow plant. After that the USA should let Israel handle whatever is left to the Iranians.

Easy solution: "Sell" the Israelis a couple of suitable aircraft and the bombs to go with them, paint stars on them, give the pilots Israeli citizenship and Baba's your uncle

Don't assume that GBU-43 or 57 employment on Fordow (or anywhere else) would be the last word in this fight. There are still many unknowns. How effective they would be in eliminating the nuclear threat there? Are there other sites (beyond Natanz, Isfahan or Bushehr? or capabilities that we are not aware of? Would US involvement via their employment escalate the situation, particularly with other hostile state on non-state actors? No one can truthfully answer these questions.

The media shouts, "You can't win!" in spite of all the evidence to the contrary. The Fordow Facility's days are numbered.

The MOP cannot be delivered effectively by a cargo plane like the C-130, unlike the "Daisy Cutter" MOAB.
The MOP depends on achieving high speed, falling from high altitude, to penetrate. In addition, there is speculation that two MOPs would be required, the first creating a path of reduced resistance for the close-following second.
This would require a bomber able to drop two in quick succession, or two bombers able to synchronize their drops precisely. Not C-130s.

FTA: "Its huge weight means it can only be delivered with a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber..."
If that were strictly so, then how do the MOPs get delivered to the B-2s?

Israel is not the only threatened target of an Iranian nuclear weapon. So is the US. So we do have skin in the game. If we need to go in and finish this so be it. Get it done.

The weight is not the issue for the MOP to be delivered to the B-2 for loading. It's the size.
And the C-17 is more than capable if carrying several at a time.
The issue is thar only the B-2 has a large enough weapons bay to fly it to and deliver it on a target. And there is a tremendous amount of systems integration required between the weapon and the aircraft.
