Jared Isaacman, the billionaire entrepreneur and commercial astronaut who had his nomination to lead NASA revoked by President Donald Trump, is claiming that the decision was retribution for his ties to Elon Musk, despite the administration pointing to his recent donations to Democrats as the reason for his departure.
Public donation records revealed that Isaacman, who has “worked alongside” Elon Musk at SpaceX, where he led private space flights missions, made a $100,000 contribution to the Democrat Senate Majority PAC in late 2021.

With donations to Commiecrats, I have to wonder if it was loyalty...or fear. PDJT was not President at that time, and was widely believed to have had his election stolen.

Mostly evil people want to go into politics. No one can be trusted. How do they sleep at night?

Why would Trump want to appoint a Democrat to such a high level position when it is clearly the Democrat political agenda to impeach Trump, remove him from office, and put him in jail or prison if only the Democrats could find a way?

Late 2021 still donating to dim-0s? Is PLENTY of reason to believe he is not the right man for the job.

I am a little surprised this was not known before the man was nominated.

If this was the "last straw" issue for Elon, he was wrong. And it surprises me that, after speaking so eloquently against people like Schumer, Elon would be best buddies with a guy who's a prolific Democrat donor to Schumer. This is cutting off one's nose to spite one's face and has to make MAGA supporters wonder if Elon has been engaged in a big Sturm und drang operation for the past year. PDJT has a mercurial side himself, but he doesn't suffer from the erratic behavior and mood swings that Elon does (per former employees of Starlink and SpaceX).

Been reading about this guy’s history. Sheesh, he’s a rare mix, but with some very bad habits. Thank goodness Trump did a little due diligence and yanked his name at the last minute. Besides, anyone who gives $100k to the Dem Senate Election PAC shouldn’t be nominated for Senate confirmation, he should instead be investigated by the Senate.

Look folks...her's another example of WE have to trust President Tump's judgment....if he's not comfortable with this man...so be it...and the Musk reference is a side story...I was surprised to here...on Friday's reports that Elon Musk has asperges's...now for you who don't understand this...my grandson has asperges's and he's a genius...he can recall any information at the drop of a hat...it's difficult to keep up with him...that information helps me understand Musk...better....

With regard to political donations to democrats, there appears to be a subjective, "eye of the beholder" cut-off point for it being OK vs not OK to donate to democrats in federal and state elections. Between 1989 - 2010 Trump donated $328,600 in federal contributions to democrats including Rangel, Schumer, Hillary, Reid, Kerry, Weiner, and Biden, and $367,650 in state contributions to democrats, including Cuomo, Rendell, McAuliffe, Spitzer, and Blagojevich. As recently as 2014, he donated $6K to Kamala Harris for AG of CA; that same year, he donated $3.5K to Republican Nikki Haley for governor of S.C. In his home state, of the $553,390 Trump donated to NY politicians, $344,900 (62% of total) went to NY democrats. In 2015, he ceased contributing to democrats, donating only to Republicans, as he was running for the Republican nomination for the presidency. When asked why he has supported more Democrats than Republicans in his home state, Trump replied, “I am a businessman. And when, you know, a Speaker of the House or head of the Senate or, you know, people call, you know, I generally speak. As a businessman, you wanna be friendly with everybody..." Jared Isaacman, a billionaire entrepreneur and presumably a businessman, as was Trump, obviously didn't make the undisclosed cut-off point for OK/not OK democrat political contributions.

I believe the problem that Elon has had with the Big Beautiful Bill, BBB, and President Trump is that Elon Musk does not understand politics and politicians. He is an engineer that is brilliant but doesn't comprehend the complexities of the political world as he lives in and compared to the business world.

I am glad to see some actual vetting being done to discern and cashier the less than great nominees. This was missing completely in the first term.
