Did Biden Kick the FBI on His Way Out

On January 19, 2025, Leonard Peltier — convicted for his role in the execution-style murders of FBI Special Agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams — was granted clemency by President Joe Biden. The commutation, issued in the final hours of Biden's presidency, blindsided the law enforcement community and reignited long-standing wounds within the FBI family. But as raw as that moment felt, time has brought a new perspective, and more troubling questions. Peltier was convicted in 1977 for his involvement in the brutal ambush and murder of two young FBI agents on the Pine Ridge Reservation. He did not act alone, but he was held accountable

Peltier's pardon has the Stinking Stench of Soros on it... - it was evil - it denies justice - it sows dissension and foments rebellion - it denies the values that have made America great

FTA: But clemency is different. It’s not ceremonial. It’s an irreversible act of mercy, judgment, and executive power. Clemency rightly carries with it a rigorous process from the petitioning stage to legal reviews and senior advisors giving their thoughts. The White House Counsel's Office often makes final recommendations and, if clemency is granted, the paper trail exists. So where is the paper trail with Peltier’s pardon? Who reviewed his file? Who briefed President Biden and who signed off — or, really, signed — the final pardon? In other words, the president doesn't just decide to grant clemency. It is a long process. The absence of a paper trail will be telling/

At this point, does it really make any difference? because Peltier was granted a commutation in Biden’s name by an unidentified auto-pen operator at the time that Biden’s brain could not tell him which way is up. Resulting in Peltier out walking the streets. With the chances at about 99.9% that in the end, besides doing a lot of talking, that the Wimpy Republicans are not going to do anything about that.

Peltier is a murderer. Absolutely factual. He SHOULD HAVE died in prison. That "dying in prison' part is a significant piece of the punishment. And senile Joe probably never signed the pardon.

If you support Joe Biden, why would you hope that he did this? Isn't it better if a malevolent staff member illegally acted in his name? Wouldn't you hope for his legacy that Biden would renounce this awful action?

Makes me wonder if the author or any of the commenters actually saw the documentary "Incident At Oglala", the documentary referenced in this essay. If you haven't, I suggest that you do. I remembered the shootout in the 70s, when it was broadcast on the national news. But the story disappeared pretty quickly. I didn't even know who Leonard Peltier was until I saw the film. And he had already been incarcerated for almost 2 decades at that point. The film brought up some pretty troubling issues that the author did not even mention, that qualified as reasonable doubt. Also, Robert Redford did not direct the film. Michael Apted directed. Redford merely narrated. Whatever you think about the shooting at Pine Ridge, it was a tragedy that should never have occurred. But take the time to watch Incident At Oglala. If nothing else, it is an excellent film. It is available on the iTunes store and Amazon

Who paid whom for Peltier's clemency? How many "buffers"? Did Olde Leather Face aka Robert Redford participate? Various figures on the far left had long hoped to free this wanton murderer of two FBI agents. They got what they paid for.

With multiple Autopens being passed around, nobody knows who signed anything and those who did will continue to lie. What were two armed FBI amateurs doing on land that is considered a separate entity as far as the US Government is concerned? Indian reservations were supposed to be set apart from US territory at one time with their own laws and governing body, no?

When the 28-year-old Bill Buckley wrote to his new pen pal, Whittaker Chambers, asking permission to come and meet him for the first time, Chambers, recovering at his Maryland farmhouse from another heart attack, replied cheerily, “By all means come. Come anytime of the day.” The letter included driving directions and what Sam Tanenhaus calls “a taste of Chambers’s signature gloom.” Chambers could not sign off without noting, “The score, as the points are chalked up, clearly and boldly, more and more convinces me that the total situation is hopeless, past repair, organically irremediable.” By the “total situation” he referred not merely to his own ailments,

We have followed (here and here) the story of the Champlin Park, Minnesota girls’ softball team, which was powering its way to the state title game behind the heroics of a six-foot tall pitcher who, until age nine, was named Charles. Charles became a girl, Marissa, and Champlin Park became state champion last night, behind yet another shutout performance by its star fastballer, Marissa Rothenberger. The linked Star Tribune story says nothing about the controversy over Rothenberger’s participation in girls’ sports: While the Rebels were building their lead, junior pitcher Marissa Rothenberger was shutting down the Jefferson hitters. She threw all seven innings, surrendered three hits, struck out six and

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has ordered the removal of Harvey Milk's name from a Navy replenishment ship, and the move stirred up the inevitable controversy. It was intended to, just as the original naming of the ship was meant to be a poke in the eye of opponents of DEI. The choice to name the ship after Milk was meant to send a signal that the Navy was honoring Harvey Milk for being a gay rights icon, and the choice to remove it was meant to tell people that Trump's Navy doesn't honor people for how they deploy their genitals. I have to admit that the

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lawmakers this week advanced several efforts aimed at reining in utility profits and slashing electricity bills as part of their agenda to tackle the sky-high costs of living. The proposals would make sweeping changes to how utilities fund expensive infrastructure projects like putting power lines underground to guard against wildfires. They also would add more oversight around wildfire mitigation spending and put new requirements on utility requests to increase rates. Supporters said the goal is to make the big investor-owned utilities start sharing some of the costs to fight wildfires and build new transmission infrastructure. “This
