INDIANAPOLIS - the Borg-Wiener Trophy at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to the Wienermobile affectionately known as Slaw Dog. In a down-to-the-wire race among the six iconic Wienermobiles that serve as goodwill ambassadors for Oscar Mayer, the hot dog-on-wheels representing the Southeast proved to be the big dog   It made a dramatic pass of the Wienermobile repping Chicago at the finish line to win the inaugural Wienie 500 on Friday. The margin was about a half a bun.

The Weinermobile. The new symbol of the Indy 500. It was great fun. Kudos to whomever come up with the idea. Parade was today. I live in a suburb of Indy and this is a fun time of year for us. Cool day tomorrow which the fans probably won't like. The racers will love it. Fans are into hot and sweaty and sunburns and beer. Oh yeah, and a race is going on too. Hoping for a safe, fast, accident free event. If you are visiting welcome and have fun making some memories. I've lived here 74 years and have never been to the race. Practice was as involved as I got when I was younger. And thank you to all service personnel who gave their all so we could enjoy the opening day of summer. Bless you and your families.

I didn't know there was more than one Wienermobiles. What a fun thing to do. Are they all owned privately or does a meat/hot dog company own all of them. I saw a picture one time of one getting filled with gas at a service station.

A friend sent some photos and a short video. I love it. Go, Wienermobiles! We've seen them several times at grocery store events. Fun stuff.

One of these was parked at a hotel in Dallas once... I had to pull over and snap a few pictures. They're quite a bit different from that first one back when I was a kid.

Former Mesa County Clerk and Gold Star Mother, Tina Peters, is sitting in prison right now for preserving her own election records following the 2020 election before Dominion Voting Systems and Colorado Secretary of State, Jenna Griswold, could come in and erase them. Peters was following state and federal law to preserve those records. President Trump is the G.O.A.T. - the greatest president of my lifetime, and by the end of his 2nd term, I’m betting he will be seen as the greatest president of all time. So far, what he has accomplished in only 2 1/2 months is amazing, unimaginable, and breathtaking. In 2 1/2 months, he has already achieved more great things than my hero Ronald Reagan did in eight years! But there is one thing Trump should be focused on above all else. President Trump must prove the 2020 election was stolen, bring the hard evidence to the American people, and charge the Democrat party with RICO.

I’m Gen X. I was pretty young when I earned my PhD, so I’ve been a professor for a long time—over 30 years. If you’re not in academia, or it’s been awhile since you were in college, you might not know this: the students are not what they used to be. Most of our students are functionally illiterate. This is not a joke. By “functionally illiterate” I mean “unable to read and comprehend adult novels Their writing skills are at the 8th-grade level. Spelling is atrocious, grammar is random, Worse is the resistance to original thought.

Former University of Wisconsin–La Crosse chancellor and professor Joe Gow has filed a lawsuit against the school, seeking reinstatement after school officials dismissed him after discovering that he and his wife had created pornography. Indeed, far from showing any interest in ending Russia's military offensive in Ukraine, the Russian leader has given every intention that he intends to continue fighting until victory has been achieved.
