Americans celebrating Memorial Day by hitting the road will likely be paying the cheapest gas prices since 2003.
GasBuddy, a fuel savings platform, said Tuesday that it forecasts the national average price of gasoline to be $3.08 per gallon on Memorial Day. That would make it the cheapest since 2021 in nominal terms. After adjusting for inflation, it would be the lowest since 2003.
This is not expected to be short-lived. Prices of gasoline are expected to average around $3.02 per gallon between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with prices falling below three dollars on some days.

January 2021, the month Biden occupied the White House, one gallon of gas at my neighborhood station cost $2.15. I wrote it down for future reference.

I use 93 octane and two weeks ago it was 3.54 a gallon. It's now 3.85 a gallon. It took that jump over night. I was paying 2.65 a gallon back in four years ago. So, if gas prices are falling, I haven't seen it yet.

Adding state tax to gas will do that to prices. It has nothing to do with Trump. Any complaints on eggs or Epstein today?

I'm not getting this. I photocopied my gas receipt back in Oct 2020 where I paid $1.799/gal. 3 weeks ago I gassed up at $2.799 at the same station. Yesterday, driving by the same station, it was $3.199. I live in SWFL. Not seeing it here.

America is floating on oil. Which, BTW is geological in origin and does not come from dinosaur remains.. It is stupid to deprive people of this easily and cheaply available fuel source. As far as pollution - today's auto emissions are at 3% of what they were seventy years ago. Drill baby drill.

Nice to hear this news, but in western Colorado the price hasn't changed at all since last summer. Regular unleaded still goes for about $3.19.

Now what do you think the democrats will say about this promises kept...give them a moment...they'll think of something negative...I got it...they'll say the low price of gas at lower prices will increase more traveling and therefore more accidents...President Trump's fault... WE've learned their game plan...the only play book is to be against anything President Trump is "for"...and the democrats wring their hands looking for something they can trash....

I'm a little surprised prices are not lower than what many are seeing. Around 2.479/gal here, but some as high as 2.699/gal. I know lower prices will occur just as they did in President Trump's first term, but it's just going to take a little longer. Patience isn't my strong suit.

Not seeing it here either, and I'm sick to death of the Trump people lying about how cheap things are. I have been paying steadily more for everything my whole life, and never more than the last six months. My 401k has dropped by tens of thousands in the last few months. So spare me the lies. If you have to lie, better to say nothing.
