Get a load of the pope's brothers

It's as if God has a sense of humor. Imagine getting elected to the 2,000-year-old Chair of St. Peter. You'd become the head of state of an unbroken succession of popes as well as the leader of the world's largest religion, one watched and followed closely by others, every word you said dissected closely. Your blessings would be sought, you'd deliver the global pieties, you'd avoid grubby politics, focusing on the tenets of your faith. But then, you have these guys behind you, your two brothers, at least one of whom loves himself some Trump.

In 1960’s Chicago being a Democrat was a totally different animal than it is today. Keep in mind the neighborhood he grew up in was “Daley Country “ where starting in 1968 the citizens were told to vote your conscience on the top of the ticket and D below. Richard Nixon did very well in the white working class wards.

I'm sure it's a pipe dream, but wouldn't it be awesome if our new Pope were a reverse infiltration of the Church? We've had a century of modernists, Communists, Freemasons and sodomites infiltrating the hierarchy to change and destroy it. (See Dr. Taylor Marshall's book Infiltration.) We could use someone who is a fake deep Church member to get in and reverse the damage.

The entire idea of the Pope is ridiculous. No man stands above any other in the theological sense. Sure, there are church leaders and their qualifications are well described - elders, teachers and deacons... But there is NO justification for the existence of a Pope. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Yes, I know the one sentence spoken by Jesus that it is based on. Totally flawed and insane twisting of words and meanings to distort that one sentence into Popedom.

Will Trump Suspend Habeas Corpus for Illegals? 5 replies

Will Americans soon witness President Trump’s issuance of an executive order suspending habeas corpus for criminal aliens and American enemies who have participated in an invasion against the United States, and who have chosen to remain in our country against the rule of law? The writ of habeas corpus goes back to 500 B.C. and is a legal action which allows a prisoner to challenge the authority of the jailer to continue holding him. The legal term habeas corpus literally means “you should have the body” in Latin. This legal privilege allows incarcerated citizens to seek relief from unlawful confinement as outlined in the Suspension Clause of the U.S. Constitution:

A veteran prosecutor who used to work in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is seeking to topple current DA Alvin Bragg. Diana Florence said she will run on an independent “Safer Manhattan” ballot line against Democrat incumbent Bragg — a longshot bid in the heavily Democratic borough. She ripped Bragg over his infamous “Day One memo” in January 2022 that ordered his prosecutors to stop seeking prison sentences for hordes of criminals and to downgrade felony charges in cases including armed robberies and drug dealing.

As Matt writes nearby, on Sunday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced a complete economic and trade reset with China that is aimed at bridging a lopsided $1.2 trillion trade deficit with the U.S. Details of the new agreement are promised on Monday, but let's take a look at the abundant differences we can see between Joe Biden's and Donald Trump's approaches with China. While people love to tout Trump's "art of the deal" transactional dealmaking with super powers, it was actually Joe Biden who leveraged his job as vice president and then as president to personally enrich his son's "business" and, by extension, his own personal bottom line.

As the New York City mayoral contest heats up, public safety remains voters’ top concern — and embattled Mayor Eric Adams’ main talking point. After all, if there’s one success that Adams can point to in his reelection bid, it’s the recent sharp declines in serious crime throughout the city under his new (and popular) police commissioner, Jessica Tisch. The first quarter of 2025 saw significant drops in both murders (by 34%) and shootings (by 23%), for example. So you can expect Adams’ critics and opponents to try to poke holes in his record.

World shares and U.S. futures surged Monday after the U.S. and China announced they were suspending for 90 days most of the sharp tariff hikes each has imposed since U.S. President Donald Trump began escalating his trade war. A joint statement said that for a 90-day period, the U.S. will cut tariffs on Chinese goods to 30% from as high as 145%. China said its tariffs on U.S. goods will fall to 10% from 125%. The agreement to allow time for more talks followed weekend negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland, that the U.S. side said had made “ substantial progress.”

U.S. and Chinese officials said Monday they had reached a deal to roll back most of their recent tariffs and call a 90-day truce in their trade war for more talks on resolving their trade disputes. Stock markets rose sharply as the globe’s two major economic powers took a step back from a clash that has unsettled the global economy. U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the U.S. agreed to drop its 145% tariff rate on Chinese goods by 115 percentage points to 30%, while China agreed to lower its rate on U.S. goods by the same amount to 10%.

The Biden administration claimed to have added almost 400,000 jobs from July through September of last year, but new data released this week suggest none of those jobs ever existed. Despite constantly gaslighting by the mainstream media, Americans knew the economy was in poor shape and these latest numbers prove it. Month after month, the government bean-counters under former-president Biden published overly optimistic estimates for everything from job growth to the size of the economy, only to have those numbers routinely—and quietly—revised down later. Every month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produces estimates for the number of nonfarm payrolls in the country,

It allows expropriation (seizure) of land without compensation. The law mandates “just and equitable” compensation in most cases, with judicial oversight for disputes. Ahh, "equitable." As we've learned all too well, for the Democrat Party, "equity" — along with "inclusion" — doesn't mean to the left what it means to the rest of us, or what it means in the dictionary. In the wake of South Africa's Expropriation Act, the Trump administration announced plans to bring more than 50 white Afrikaners to the United States, starting on Monday,

O’Connell appears to have actually amended his Executive Order 30, which is titled Communications Between Federal Immigration Authorities and the Metropolitan Government. The order mandates any communication to Nashville police, fire, emergency management, or emergency communications personnel by federal immigration law enforcement, or their federal agencies, be reported to the Mayor’s Office of New Americans.

Just yesterday, I wrote about Britain’s decline as its embrace of unlimited immigration from Third World (mostly Muslim) countries and its commitment to the insane Net Zero carbon dioxide metric are leading it toward a Muslim-controlled polity and a pre-modern energy infrastructure. Today, I awoke to two more reports about Britain’s decline, this time related to speech and self-defense. These reports matter because the leftist British approach to governance is what the Democrat party desperately wants to see in America. The first story comes from The Telegraph, Britain’s (slightly) right-of-center outlet, and its title says it all:
