My Jewish identity isn’t just something I talk about — it’s who I am. It's a part of my family's survival story: surviving the Holocaust, escaping Soviet oppression, and rebuilding a life in America with nothing but determination and faith. Now, as I prepare for college, I see antisemitism rising again in places that are supposed to be centers of learning and acceptance. It dumbfounds me that American Jews continue to vote Democrat, when Trump is the only world leader who is fighting for them. It is mind-boggling!

Portugal’s caretaker government plans to expel some 18,000 foreigners living in the country without authorization, a minister said Saturday in the buildup to a national election. Minister of the Presidency António Leitão Amaro said the center-right government will issue approximately 18,000 notifications to people in the country illegally to leave. The minister said officials will begin next week by asking some 4,500 foreigners to leave voluntarily within 20 days. Portugal will hold an early general election on May 18. Prime Minister Luis Montenegro called the snap ballot in March after his minority government led by his conservative Social Democratic Party lost a confidence vote in Parliament and stood down.

James cited as examples anticipated cuts in federal aid to the Head Start program that helps low-income kids ages five and under prepare for school,

The Trump administration scored a HUGE win on Saturday in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Not only did the court grant the administration's request for a stay pending appeal in several consolidated/related cases, but it set forth the framework that district courts should be adhering to in analyzing many of the cases currently pending before them regarding the administration's actions. Since President Donald Trump resumed office in January and began issuing a series of executive orders and actions aimed at dismantling and/or sizably reducing the size of the bureaucratic state, lawsuit after lawsuit has been filed against the administration in an effort to thwart his agenda.

Rep. Elise Stefanik believes she’s “in the strongest position to defeat” Gov. Hochul and become the first Republican leader of New York state in nearly 20 years, as she inches closer to a 2026 challenge. In an exclusive interview with The Post, Stefanik (R-NY) confidently rattled off several “Day 1” priorities for a potential term — tax, education, crime, immigration and energy — before taking a shot at the unpopular liberal governor. “Unlike Kathy Hochul, who was defeated after one term in Congress, we have a record of winning — not just Republicans but winning independents and a fair percentage of Democrats,” she sniped.

Let’s get the big news out of the way: The economy shrank by 0.3% during the first quarter of 2025, a mild but not wholly unexpected drop blamed by nearly everyone on President Donald Trump’s tariff hikes. Is that the first step toward a recession, or, as Trump put it, just a result of the “Biden overhang”? First, let’s just note one big thing: The media can’t help but show its glaring bias against Trump even when it reports boring data, such as the barely negative GDP number. In case you didn’t get that quote, it was a play on the clueless remark (“Crisis? What Crisis”)

President Donald Trump on Friday released his budget proposals — slashing domestic spending to help lower the deficit while also allowing vital new investments in defense. The so-called “skinny” spending blueprint will guide the House and Senate in producing the “big, beautiful bill” settling tax policy as well as the contours of the federal budget for the next year. Calling the proposal “a bold blueprint that reflects the values of hardworking Americans and the commitment to American strength and prosperity,” House Speaker Mike Johnson praised Trump’s plan as ensuring that “every federal taxpayer dollar spent is used to serve the American people, not a bloated bureaucracy.”

It’s the part of the Trump revolution you’re not hearing about, because it strikes fear into the nation’s socialist media, to the point that they are now churning out apocalyptic tales of woe loosely based on what’s happening to their industry. A few days ago, a piece pointed out that President Trump had upended the leftist ratchet. This is the tendency for the left to go hog wild when they grab power and push their socialist national agenda to the hilt. And then when things flip to the pro-freedom side, we can only bring the ball back to a certain degree.

Pope Francis, Bishop of Rome, and head of the Roman Catholic Church died Easter Monday morning and his funeral was attended by thousands of mourners and a few faux Catholics like the Bidens and Nancy Pelosi. Almost immediately after his death was announced, the media was swarmed with responses from Hollywood stars and other celebrities expressing their sympathy for the passing of this ‘beloved’ pontiff. Many other Catholics, conservative and fundamentalist, more likely silently thought, Ding, Dong, the pope is dead.” I, myself, do not believe that Pope Francis was an evil man,

He said he had sent in a voter registration form to change his party affiliation to “no party affiliation."Pizzo said the state's political system resembled "the infighting, power struggles, corruption and decline of civic virtue that pervaded and eventually ushered in the fall of Rome." "So, too, are we players, or perhaps props, in the mess that is bottom partisanship,” Pizzo said.

Conservative Christians have flooded social media with support for Cardinal Robert Sarah to succeed the late Pope Francis because of his strong traditionalist stands on sexuality and church doctrine as well as his opposition to mass immigration and Islamism. Why It Matters The rising profile of the African cardinal, 79, comes at a time of ideological division within Catholicism, as the Church grapples with questions of modernity, sexual identity, and religious pluralism, and also as more right wing political movements in Europe and elsewhere have challenged what they see as the orthodoxy of a liberal global elite. Unlike Pope Francis—who often leaned into progressive stances on social justice and inclusion—

Democratic political strategist James Carville expressed frustration with the state of his party on his podcast Thursday, arguing that Republicans are able to get away with lying while Democrats are held to a higher standard of credibility. Talking to guest Ryan Lizza, a journalist, he said, "People say to me all the time, ‘James, why don’t we just do like the Republicans do? Just stand up and lie?’ Because our f*****g people wouldn’t stand for it!" Carville said. "If I stood up and lied, you would be the first person to say, ‘James Carville lost all credibility last night when he said X, Y and Z.’"

Like most of us, I suppose, the shock to our system and way of life during the government’s response to COVID-19 cannot easily be forgotten. It was our taste of ill-considered government tyranny, a public-health disaster. As more information about its origins and how the disease was handled is revealed, it always gets my attention. In sum, banking on helping defeat Trump, the public-health establishment and media suppressed more credible options for dealing with a disease which was not life-threatening to most in order to promote a vaccine then in the works. The vaccine when it was developed and administered was not terribly effective and has itself caused substantial injury.

Liberation Day is probably the most consequential day of the first 100 days. Is there an exit strategy for Donald Trump on this? He asked, “Can he make this sort of series of deals that limit the damage?” Christie said, “Well, it depends on what those deals look like, George. Starting Monday, student loan borrowers who find themselves in default will face government-backed involuntary collections, signaling a brand new landscape after years of pauses, delays and Biden-era relief efforts. Garnished tax returns, Social Security payments and even wages will all be fair game on May 5 after a five-year pause on severe financial consequences that began during the economic upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Trump administration has made clear no additional debt forgiveness will be offered to borrowers as congressional Republicans look to revamp the student loan repayment system.

Let’s just get this out of the way: $2.00 gas isn’t a fantasy. It’s not a fairytale. It’s not even a MAGA fever dream. It’s a freight train with Trump at the throttle and a full tank of American energy roaring down the tracks. Naturally, this week the usual suspects freaked out. President Trump had the audacity to suggest—on social media, no less—that we’re on the verge of $2 gas. Cue the blue-check meltdown: “Disinformation!” “It’s impossible!” “He’s lying!” But here’s the problem with that narrative: he’s not wrong. Let’s check the scoreboard, shall we? On May 3, 2025, the national average for a gallon of regular gas was $3.17.

An Army Black Hawk helicopter caused two near-misses with airliners at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport last week — including passing as little as 200 feet from one jet — after the pilot took “the scenic route” to the Pentagon, according to authorities. The terrifying incident at one of America’s most crowded airports comes three months after the same kind of Army chopper from the same unit was involved in a mid-air collision with an American Airlines jet, killing 67 people. Officials and politicians were quick to blast the Army for the incident — with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy calling it “unacceptable.”
