It doesn't matter what bad thing happens. The climate cultists will blame it on global warming. I saw one stupid comment yesterday that blamed the snow and cold on it. We are due here in North Georgia for a low of 9 degrees in a couple of days. We could use a little warming. Everything from hemorrhoids to impotence in monkeys is blamed on it. I kid, but that's not far off their claims.

Bernie like so many global warming idiots needs to remember that southern California is a desert. The only moisture that it really gets other than an occasional storm is the moisture coming off the Pacific such as dew. Until water was diverted from the Colorado river to L.A. it was always dry. The problem is, the eco terrorists and democrats that have taken over the state have for decades refused to expand and create reservoirs to collect water during the long dry seasons. They let the water runoff into the ocean or divert it to save some small fish. All these fires would have probably happened anyway, but not to the extent we've seen over the last dozen years or so.

It ain't Climate Change that stopped the water from flowing south to the affected area. It was the stupidity of the people in the California State Government, who are, by the way, all Democrats.

My great uncle went to the Yukon to find gold and found it, he bought a farm in California and was burned out, after which he left California, and returned to Maryland. California has had fires since long before my birth , I am 82. WE read about California fires ever year. Big ones. Bernie is an idiot. California is a fire waiting to happen. An earthquake waiting to happen, a mudslide waiting to happen. Californians know of these facts, and yet they don't fill their reservoirs and they don't cut their brush, and they cut back money for their fire service. With all of the fires California has a person might believe they would buy some airplanes to help fight these fires instead of renting them.

Costco’s board of directors has been winning plenty of praise lately for defending its “diversity, equity, and inclusion” program against a shareholder proposal put forth by a conservative group. It deserves none of it. The proposal, widely – and wrongly – described as a plan to dismantle Costco’s DEI program, says simply this: Resolved: Shareholders request that the Board conduct an evaluation and publish a report, omitting proprietary and privileged information, on the risks of the Company maintaining its current DEI (including ‘People & Communities’) roles, policies and goals. The pundit class described the board’s rejection

Among President Trump’s promises during the 2024 campaign was to “medically discharge” transgender men and women from the U.S. military. But would Americans support such a move? A plurality of voters say no, revealing a deep political split over the issue, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. While no specific proposal has yet actually been put forward, the national online I&I/TIPP Poll asked this question: “News reports suggest President-elect Trump is considering an executive order to discharge all transgender service members and ban future enlistments, potentially affecting 15,000 active personnel. Do you support or oppose this plan?”

On Joe Biden’s first day in office, he signed a raft of executive orders, one of which we said was “almost entirely overlooked but could easily end up having the biggest impact.” Turns out we were right. The executive order – “Modernizing Regulatory Review” – would, we predicted, “unleash the regulatory state with a ferocity never before seen in this country.” With this one executive order, Biden shows that he’s intent on giving regulators carte blanche to impose massive new rules on businesses and households, on virtually anything and everything they do, regardless of costs. There’s little else Biden has done so

As President Joe Biden counts down the days he has left in office, he’s busy trying to burnish his legacy. What he should be doing is apologizing for unleashing waste and fraud of epic proportions. Politico, to its credit, this week reported on where the $1.6 trillion that Biden approved in spending ($1.1 trillion) and tax breaks ($500 billion-plus) for “clean energy” and infrastructure investments went. The good news is that most of it hasn’t been spent. The bad news is that the rest appears to have vanished without a trace.

The New Year had barely begun when one and possibly two terrorist attacks were unleashed that claimed the lives of more than a dozen innocent people. In New Orleans, 15 people have so far died after a driver rammed a truck through a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street Wednesday morning. The driver had an ISIS flag in the rented pickup and likely didn’t act alone. [snip] Is this the beginning of a wave of terror attacks inside the U.S.? There’s reason to worry. For almost four years, the Biden administration has been asleep at the wheel when it comes to terror threats.

Soon-to-be President Donald Trump has talked about getting rid of the U.S. income tax and replacing it with a system of tariffs. He has come under heavy criticism from Democrats and many economists. But average Americans appear to like the idea, with a plurality favoring Trump’s idea, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. The December online I&I/TIPP Poll asked 1,441 adults across the country the following question: “President Trump has talked about replacing the income tax with tariffs (taxes on selected imports). What do a $15 million settlement with ABC News, a Washington, D.C., waitress getting fired, and the Los Angeles Times planning to include a bias meter in its news stories have in common? Trump’s first term was chaotic, but not because of what he did so much as the four-year hysteria unleashed by his opponents. Biden, on the other hand, brought true chaos. The alleged booting follows Crowley lashing out against the Mayor’s cuts to her department, in an interview with a local Fox TV station around 12pm Friday. ‘My message is the fire department needs to be properly funded,’ the Chief said. ‘It’s not.’ ‘Did they fail you?’ Fox LA’s Gigi Graciette asked. ‘Yes,’ Crowley replied.

I was surprised, if not shocked, when two A-list celebrities, country singers Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood, took the microphones at the State Funeral for Jimmy Carter yesterday and began performing “Imagine,” written by former Beatle John Lennon in 1971. The song is widely described as an “atheistic anthem” and incredibly is said to be one of the late 39th president’s favorite songs. "Imagine there’s no heaven It’s easy if you try. No hell below us Above us, only sky. . . Imagine all the people Livin’ for today Ah Imagine there’s no countries It isn’t hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion, too" To me, it sounds like a globalist woke anthem
