During an interview with “CBS Evening News” that took place on Thursday and was released on Friday, LAFD Chief Kristin Crowley denied that diversity initiatives have harmed the department’s ability to respond to emergencies like the recent fires and stated, “my number one priority is making sure that we can take care of the community that we took an oath to take care of, and with that is our ability to respond to emergencies.”
Crowley stated, “My top three priorities since day one [have] been this, I want to clearly articulate that: The number one priority from day one is ensuring that the LAFD has the capability to respond to

But if there is a man who needs to be rescued, he is in the wrong place.

An obvious lie. The very nature of DEI is that someone is hired because of preferred status rather than best qualifications. That ultimately results in inferior performance.

What else are they going to say? Did you expect them to admit that the city and the LAFD are run by nincompoops, and the leadership is submitting their resignations today?

That’s not quite what she said much earlier. For her, it was all about diversity, inclusion, and making people feel good about themselves. Firefighting, not so much.

Every dollar spent on DEI is a dollar not spent on preparing to fight or fighting fires. Ever DEI hire means someone more qualified wasn't hired. Evey minute spend on diversity training is a minute not spent on training to fight fires or equipment maintenance.

First priority should be preventing and putting out fires.
This is the fire department. Not the alphabet soup community department.
Fire her. Now.

This person took time off from fire fighting to do an interview to defend dei? How many acres burned while she was doing this?

Number 3 nails the precise HEART of the issue. DEI is defined as hiring people who would not be hired in a meritocracy. So, by definition they are less capable, less competent.
BY DEFINITION ----- DEI folks are less competent.

Ummm - - but - - but - - all the "communities" which you have been "taking care of" - - have burned to the ground.
Is that what you mean by "taking care" - - watching them burned to ashes?

DEI and PC exacerbated the effect of the fires. Newsome's political career is toast. And LA is no longer carbon neutral.

Well the correct question is how did the diversity initiatives help the Los Angeles Fire Department put out the wildfires?

Of course they would say that while the city is burning. It is the Straight White it Male Christians who are responsible for this fiasco.

Granted the governor and water manager left you high and dry, but if what you say is true, why are you importing Mexican fire fighters with whom you will have language barriers?
