President-elect Donald Trump has chosen his personal lawyer Alina Habba — who defended him in multiple high-profile cases — to serve as his Counselor to the President in a slew of staffing picks he announced Sunday night. “Alina has been a tireless advocate for Justice, a fierce Defender of the Rule of Law, and an invaluable Advisor to my Campaign and Transition Team,” Trump said in a statement. Habba, 40, joined Trump’s team of attorneys in 2021 and represented the 45th president in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit and New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil fraud case.

Comments:

Alina Habba's parents were Chaldean Catholics who left Iraq in the early 1980's to escape persecution there. She is very loyal to President Trump.

Given the Lawfare that past advisors and counselors to President Trump have faced, Trump should give her a blanket pardon that is forward looking on Day 1.

I like that about her background, OP. Alina is another one like Lara Trump. A multitalented, strong and very intelligent CONSERVATIVE not “in name only” lady. I have heard her on Christian media and very impressed. She has been through some battles in life. I can imagine Alina in a Senate seat with Lara Trump and boy would these two dynamos shake up the OLD boy’s club!! Lol

Before marrying in 2021, former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., was known to be a braggadocious libertine. No conservative wants to defend such behavior, and so many on the Right are remaining silent as Gaetz is accused of also engaging in criminal conduct, paying prostitutes, and having sex with a minor. The claims against Gaetz are but another information operation, however, mirroring the ones that previously targeted Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh. And this pattern will continue unabated unless Americans unflinchingly condemn the tactic — no matter the target.

Some years ago, I heard that Matt Gaetz had been accused of having sex with an underage girl. Much later, I understood that the claim had turned out to be false and had been dropped. But now, following Gaetz’s nomination as Attorney General, it has reappeared in the guise of a House Ethics Committee investigation and attendant newspaper leaks. Headlines have been full of salacious references to sex with a 17-year-old. I wondered why that was ever a matter for criminal investigation, since in most states 17 would be above the age of consent. But the age of consent is 18 in Florida, where I take the incident supposedly occurred.

An illegal alien Tren de Aragua gang member has been convicted on all counts for murdering 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley in Athens, Georgia in February of this year. The felon had been released from the southern border into the United States by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration and given a work permit. On Wednesday, an Athens judge found Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal alien from Venezuela, guilty of murdering Laken Riley after stalking her on an early morning jog around the University of Georgia (UGA) campus on Feb. 22, 2024.

Amid the stunning revelation that Kamala Harris’ unsuccessful presidential campaign ended up $20 million in the red, despite raising $1 billion from donors, a new report has found that the rock concerts that her campaign staged on the night before the election — featuring Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and others — collectively cost around that same amount, up to $20 million. Now vendors and others who worked on those concerts, which were meant to persuade “low-propensity voters” to turn out for Harris, are reportedly facing the prospect of unpaid invoices.

There is a new movie out called “Fly Me To The Moon.” To which I say, “It’s about time, we haven’t been back there in more than 50 years,” as incredible as that may seem. And it does seem incredible, given the (astronomical?!) advances in computer technology during that time. In 1972, when man last walked on the moon, there were no cell phones, no pocket calculators, and only three main television stations in the United States. Richard Nixon was president. And gasoline was 36 cents a gallon. There was nothing the U.S. couldn’t do or achieve.

We have received multiple emails from people saying that theaters are telling patrons that air-conditioning is broken in the auditoriums showing the hit movie Sound of Freedom and offering another movie or a refund. Many people fear that a campaign is underway to suppress the box office totals for the film, which exposes the sex-trafficking of children. The box office success of SoF is particularly embarrassing for Disney, whose ridiculously expensive Indiana Jones movie is performing poorly and unlikely to earn a profit,

Casablanca. At the time it was made, none of the actors knew it was destined to be a classic, turning up in list after list of the greatest movies of all time. They didn’t know that lines like “Here’s looking at you, kid,” “We’ll always have Paris,” and “This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship” were going to enter popular culture. They couldn’t predict that Casablanca’s plot continues to be inspiring, with the studiously disinterested Rick Blaine and the corrupt Captain Renault shaking off their apathy when they realized the size of the Nazi threat and saw that people would willingly sacrifice themselves to fight back.

El Salvador's President Nayim Bukele is something of a freak, a loose cannon. His twitter photo should give you the idea: I can't tell if he's on the right or left, he's some kind of opportunist who's often described as a caudillo. He's an ex-communist with Venezuelan advisors, as the screen shot indicates at the top. But apparently the country's real communists don't like him. He's trashed his country's future by dropping the U.S. dollar as the country's currency and replacing it with bitcoin, an unreliable ledger currency favored by drug dealers, money launderers, and fast-buck speculators.

But lacking any history of slavery or historic oppression of Blacks, the Canadian thugs have seized upon alleged mistreatment of indigenous peoples, called “First Canadians” according to recent local custom north of the border. The result has been a wave of church burnings recently, including ten churches in Alberta on Canada’s national holiday, Canada Day, just a few days ago.

Daniel Penny has been found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway car in 2023. Penny, 26, pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. The judge dismissed the second-degree manslaughter charge against Penny on Friday after jurors said they could not come to a unanimous decision. The jury could only consider the negligent homicide charge if Penny was cleared of manslaughter, which is what the dismissal did.

Lead was banned from automobile fuel in 1996. The study, published Wednesday in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, looked at its lasting impact in the U.S. by analyzing childhood blood lead levels from 1940 to 2015. According to the findings, the national population experienced an estimated 151 million excess mental health disorders attributable to exposure to lead from car exhaust during children’s early development.

McConnell apparently disagrees. He suggested at the annual Reagan National Defense Forum that MAGA is responsible for the managed decline, even though the movement is only eight years old. McConnell has been in power since 1985.

Incredibly, U.S. Capitol Police captain Michael Byrd, the cop who shot J6 protester Ashli Babbitt, appears to have been extorting the Democrats for favors, including a promotion. Even more incredibly, leading House Democrats have obliged him. Much of this bizarre saga Rep. Barry Lourdermilk (R-GA) has documented in a detailed letter to U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) chief Thomas Manger. What is undeniable is that Byrd shot and killed an unarmed woman of a different race. Undeniable, too, is that no police officer in recent memory has received anything like the treatment proffered to Byrd for a comparable shooting. Indeed, only in the DIE-infested miasma
