Law enforcement has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, which occurred in New York City last Wednesday outside of a Manhattan hotel. Luigi Mangione, 26, of Towson, Md., was stopped in Altoona, Pa., on Monday. The detained suspect had with him a handwritten manifesto that criticized the health care industry for prioritizing profits, according to law enforcement. Carrying a fake New Jersey ID, Mangione was on a Greyhound bus before he walked into a McDonald’s in the morning, where he was recognized by an individual who alerted police. The suspect is an anti capitalist and supported to climate change ideology. Translation: This guy was just another violent, possibly mentally ill leftist. The mainstream media can't say this because it reflects poorly on all the other violent, mentally deranged leftists out there who are the backbone of the democrat party.

Mangione's X account has, as one of three images he identifies with, an x-ray of a lower back with 4 screws used to stabilize an injury (looks like a grade I spondylolisthesis - I have a grade II). Wonder if this procedure or injury led to his vendetta...

President-elect Donald Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance, and several members of their incoming administration were in attendance at the classic Army-Navy football game on Saturday. Among the people reportedly with Trump were DNI nominee Tulsi Gabbard, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, NSA nominee Rep. Mike Waltz, SecDef nominee Pete Hegseth, and DOGE duo Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk. Waltz, Gabbard, and Hegseth were pulling for Army in the game. Vivek definitely had the cutest escort.

Donald Trump has won again. ABC News and George Stephanopoulos have settled the defamation lawsuit brought by the incoming president, with the news network agreeing to pay $15 million in damages while also issuing an apology. The lawsuit was first filed after Stephanopoulos claimed as a matter of fact that Trump had “raped” E. Jean Carroll. The comment came during an interview with Rep. Nancy Mace. Of course, the issue was that Trump has never been charged or convicted of rape criminally nor has he been found liable for rape in any civil suit. Stephanopoulos made it up in an attempt to bait Mace

Alejandro Mayorkas, the Secretary of Homeland Security, recently appeared on CNN to address the growing concern over the mysterious drone sightings across New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and near Washington, D.C. His comments, however, were a striking display of government ineffectiveness. When Wolf Blitzer pressed him on what Americans should make of the sightings, Mayorkas repeated the same dismissive response: “We have not seen anything unusual. We know of no threat or of any nefarious activity.” Rather than addressing the concerns with urgency

If your third-grader is competing in the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee, good news: “W-O-M-Y-N” is now an acceptable spelling of “women.” (What a time to be alive!) In fact, “W-O-M-Y-N” is explicitly listed on the National Spelling Bee’s list of 50 “study words” that’s distributed to third-graders. Nobody knows when spoken language began, but written language developed independently in Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, and Mesoamerica. Presumably, shortly after the emergence of writing, was the emergence of the crotchety, ornery, spinster schoolteacher who’d shame you before the class when you misspelled a word. And now, the proper spelling of women is “W-O-M-Y-N.”

Donald Trump isn't president yet, but he may as well be. The rest of the world thinks that he's president. That has already started a shuffling of the deck and is forcing reassessments from friends and foes alike. Early this month, Trump took to Truth Social to issue a warning to the terrorist group Hamas — what's left of it, anyway. “If the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity.

Russia is still grinding along in the battle with Ukraine, but if the greater goal was to present Putin as a powerful leader who might be in a position to re-form parts of the USSR, he's losing the war. The latest blow was the fall of Bashar al-Assad in Syria. Fareed Zakaria writes that Assad's collapse was a real sign of Russian weakness. Bashar al-Assad’s fall points to a direct lesson: Russia’s growing weakness. Moscow had been Syria’s patron for over half a century. Syria was Russia’s last major client state in the Middle East. Moscow had spent huge amounts of blood and treasure supporting Assad over the past decade.
