An illegal alien Tren de Aragua gang member has been convicted on all counts for murdering 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley in Athens, Georgia in February of this year. The felon had been released from the southern border into the United States by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration and given a work permit. On Wednesday, an Athens judge found Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal alien from Venezuela, guilty of murdering Laken Riley after stalking her on an early morning jog around the University of Georgia (UGA) campus on Feb. 22, 2024.

No death penalty when this monster waived the right to a jury. He's going to be living at great taxpayer expense for a long time, unless someone in prison does the right thing and kills him.

Why didn't the prosecution ask for a death sentence for this criminal?

You want to be a sanctuary city or state, fine. Then the people you harbor, who have broken the law, must remain in your state. They cannot be allowed out under any circumstance plus you will not receive any federal money for their care and feeding. You want them you got them does not mean we have to put up with this nonsense. You will find that most Americans do not have a problem with legal immigration. But we have a major problem with illegal aliens. The lack of a border and a lack of enforcing our border laws is a major reason FKH lost. This is on their hands, on their watch, and they still don't give a damn.

I heard the courtroom clip of her 911 call. It haunted me for days. Biden, Mayorkas, this is on you. You two allowed this for power. For votes. Along with the heinous Border Czar. These three should rot in a jail cell.

Schumer is guilty as well. Mayorkas was impeached by the House and Schumer broke precedent in the Senate by squashing it. I know dates don’t line up for this crime but there should at least have had the Senate testimony and trial but Schumer protected him.

The Soros backed prosecutor didn't want capital punishment for this Venezuelan oxygen thief and gang member. Even with a conviction, Lady Justice won't be satisfied. Ibarra will enter prison with a "kick me" (or worse) note pinned to the back of his uniform. General population in prison for this murderer ought to solve the problem. What problem? The problem that he is still breathing. "Life in prison" can last for many decades. Unless for some reason it doesn't. Some other lifer looking to make a name for himself might "dahmer" Ibarra with a jagged chunk of ice, which will melt rapidly. No weapon, no crime. Steel shivs don't melt, though.

My understanding of prison ethos is that prison cons don't take kindly to women murderers. My guess is that Ibarra will first have a series of beatings followed by a shiv at a later time. His life going forward is bleak indeed. What a shame!!!!

I watched some of the trial proceedings. It was painful and heartbreaking. I can't imagine the grief of the family sitting there, watching the footage of that day. How utterly wicked are those officials who are defying the will of the American people in declaring their cities sanctuary even as the charges against this monster are read by the judge.
