Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) suggested in a recent interview that the DOJ staff is worried it will become a “law firm” for President-elect Trump during his second stint in the White House. His claim came shortly after Trump tapped former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead the DOJ following former Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-Fla.) withdrawal from consideration. “So, she’s really presiding over the bureaucracy,” Raskin, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, told MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight” in an interview Thursday. “That is where she will be the key transmission belt between Donald Trump’s orders and then making the bureaucracy move.”

Considering the DemonRats turned the DOJ into the Department of "Just Us" and had at least two levels of "justice", they've got to be scared that Ms. Bondi will equally enforce the law, and when she does, they will be screwed.

The DOJ SHOULD be worried because they aren't going to get away with their Leftist, Deep State games anymore. They need to obey the law and the ORDERS of the President, NOT their agency's warped interpretations of things. A lot of them will be gone because they quit or try to "resist" and they will find themselves FIRED!
And, YEAH, they ARE the President's law firm, since he IS the Chief Executive. It is extremely doubtful that Trump would order a flagrant violation of law. On the other hand, when law is imprecise, as it often is, Trump's interpretation rules, refer back to "he IS the Chief Executive. Their job is to go to court to support the President. If the COURT finally denies the President's position, so be it. But it is NOT the DOJ's position to control what the President can do.
Beyond that, acting under the President's orders, the DOJ is NOT accountable for actions taken by order of the Executive as long as they do their job in an above board way. They may not win every battle but it is their JOB to fight for the President's goals.
No sympathy for the DOJ cry babies that have been getting away with their games for far too long.

Trump needs to do what BillyJeff did as soon as he took power. Replace ALL of the Gov't lawyers with his own hand picked locals. Remember Janet Reno?

Trump will need to divert the entire Potomac River to flow through that place and wash out the Filth left by Zero, the HairSniffer, and their crooked minions.

The Democrat arm of the weponized DOJ needs to be fired and prosecuted where applicable.
The remainder needs to focus on real crimes.

Hmm . . . Well, Snidley Whiplash, (aka Jamie Raskin), the DOJ has been the Obama/Biden Law Firm for quite some time. Are you nervous now, Jamie?

I assume they were untroubled by being the bidet law firm, giving Huncher immunity and not prosecuting old schmoe because he’s too senile.

Fire them. They can't be trusted. What they are really saying is they don't want to work for the president of the US. They want to do things their way.

Difficult to have to work for Trump rather than twist the law to punish him and his supporters. Hope they all get canned or sent to prison.

I understand the worry. A transition from the Democrat DOJ to a Republican DOJ would require massive personnel changes throughout the US. But Raskin shouldn't worry, the Rino's will put a stop to any significant changes. Have to protect the institution and all.

You SHOULD be worried, Raskin. After all the BS and the illegal leaks, the FISA shenanigans, everything your side threw at Trump, its PAYBACK time. I literally cannot wait.

Easkin etal have been major drivers of the current Obama drive belt that has controled DOJ and most large city and state "Justice" systems, where executive "discretion" dictates what will be NOT prosecuted, often times the focus is the exact opposite of the actual LAW.. The basis for doing so is "Until legislation can be passed to FIX the Law". For example TPS is written in 1990 to allow citizens of certain countries that was having a "natural" disaster, and were ALREADY legally visiting the USA to remain, briefly, until the results of a hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, or revolution eased somewhat...instead under Biden the US Govt, is recruiting and transporting thousands who are actually currently still IN THOSE COUNTRIES to the United States, and giving them an automatic 500+ day work permit, then auto renewing that permission."All at the discretion of the Att General", while at the same time "At the discretion of the Att General" arguing in state and federal courts to STOP the deportations of those who have lost the status, had it expire, violated it's rules, by violating Criminal statutes, or not maintaining a "Continuous residency requirement"...for example, returning "Home" to their countries on business and even vacations. TPS allows NO PATHWAY to a permanent residency status for any recipient or their family members, including children born in the USA.
Under the Obama/Biden "Just Us" system, actual rioters, looters, arsonists and "Revolutionary street soldiers" that attacked cops, firemen, other citizens were intentionally NOT prosecuted, but little old ladies singing patriotic songs or,praying are.

What’s all this concern about the danger of personal loyalty? The Democrats saw no issue with it in 1960 when the president appointed his 35-year-old brother to be AG.
