Donald Trump brought along his 18-year old son Barron to a high impact meeting that included Elon Musk and billionaire Nelson Peltz, exposing his son to some of the backroom dealings that could shape the 2024 campaign or a second Trump term. The get-together came at Peltz's Palm Beach estate, and also included X, Musk's now 4-year-old son with actress Grimes. It came at a March meeting where Musk, one of the world's richest men and the Tesla and Space X founder, spoke about a potential 'advisory role' for himself that would involve counseling Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The travesty of a political show-trial against Donald Trump has finally been submitted to the jury of five men, five women and two lawyers in ultra-blue Manhattan. A conviction takes unanimity. So does an acquittal. A hung jury takes only at least one dissenter. Expect them to decide that they can’t decide. It’ll be a hung jury. Stage-rants produced by White House staff-kids (remember Biden’s weird State of the Union shout-fest?) and delivered by eighty-year-old Robert DeNiro outside the courtroom won’t change that.

It is not just that the states that decided 2020’s outcome are increasingly leaning toward Trump — although they are. There are also strong indications that more states could play a potentially determinant role in 2024’s outcome and that these, too, are moving closer toward Trump. Five months out, President Joe Biden is playing defense on over 100 crucial electoral votes but has less than 20 that he could plausibly take from Trump.

Today the jury began its deliberations in the trial of former president Donald Trump. Before jurors left, however, Judge Juan Merchan framed their deliberations in a way that seemed less like a jury deliberation than a canned hunt. For many of us, the Trump trial has seemed otherworldly, a vaguely familiar proceeding where common elements of a trial seem to have been flipped. Even before the jury instructions, the trial was controversial for both liberal and conservative commentators. At the start of closing arguments, most honest observers were still wondering what the prosecutors were alleging as to the crime that Trump was allegedly concealing with the falsification of business records.

Amid world outcry against an Israeli airstrike that took out two Hamas terrorist leaders but also reportedly killed dozens of Palestinian civilians, Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday that the “small munitions” used in the attack simply could not have caused the fire that caused such devastation. They think a Hamas ammunition storage facility may be to blame: The Israel Defense Forces said Tuesday that a hidden store of weapons may have been the actual cause of a deadly blaze in southern Gaza’s Rafah, and that an airstrike that targeted an adjacent area had used small munitions that would not ignite such a fire on their own. The military suspects that the munitions

Protesters may be the least of the Democratic Party’s concerns in Chicago after the mother of the Biden family black sheep timed a tell-all release for the week of the convention. A settlement may have been reached last summer in the child support payment case between Hunter Biden and his former lover Lunden Roberts, but it appeared silence from the mother of Navy Joan Roberts was no part of the deal. Tuesday, word got out that the one-time stripper and executive assistant to the scandal-ridden Biden was releasing a book on Aug. 20, the second day of the Democratic National Convention.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), a leading possible contender for former President Donald Trump’s running mate, answered several key questions from Breitbart News for this exclusive question-and-answer written interview about Hollywood star Robert De Niro’s appearance at the behest of Democrat President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign outside the Manhattan courthouse where Trump is being tried. The moment, one of the most consequential of this 2024 presidential election so far, represents a significant escalation by the incumbent president of the United States against his political opponent.

Marxism was easily the most destructive political theory ever to be put into practice. Over the course of the 20th century, it was responsible for purposefully killing well over 100 million people. To put that evil into context, the slave trade into the United States was 400,000 people, the number of Congolese dead during the reign of King Leopold II of Belgium is estimated as high as 10 million, and the total number of deaths during WWII was 73 million. But communism beats them all combined. And most of those numbers came from governments killing their own citizens! I mention all of this because the father of Communism, Karl Marx,

A former Trump campaign official has won a tight primary fight and will now serve as the representative of a deep-red Texas House district. Republican Katrina Pierson, who served as the spokesperson for former President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, defeated incumbent state Rep. Justin Holland in Tuesday's primary runoff for Texas' 33rd House District, and is the presumptive winner of November's general election since no Democrat candidate is standing in the race. Pierson had the backing of Republican Texas Gov. Gregg Abott, who sought to oust incumbent Republicans opposed to some of his policy objectives.

The troubles we’re confronting at home are so many it’s hard to know where to begin. It’s understandable that most voter attention is focused here. We talk mainly about the consequences -- none good -- to the economy, the border, and crime should Biden -- contrary to the glaring, ongoing polling trends against him -- win reelection. War -- not civil war, which is predicated on a lot of maybes -- is mentioned as a possibility if Biden returns to the White House. But it’s primarily a background consideration. It shouldn’t be. War with Russia or China or both may not be something that Democrats want exactly

California could be a much nicer place to live if some of the progressives who run the place would stop trying their best to make everything more expensive. California has had blackouts and despite this came close to shutting down its last nuclear reactor. In 2022, Gov. Newsom finally had second thoughts on that after the Biden administration offered a boatload of money to reverse course and keep the last reactor running. But despite moments of lucidity, the state and the governor seem determined to set the state's next energy crisis in motion. Last year the state passed a bill called SBX1-2 which was brandished by

Lola is the title of a song released by The Kinks in 1970. The song chronicles the romantic misadventures between a young man and a transgendered woman named Lola who, "walked like a woman but talked like a man.” Lola may provide a surprise in the bedroom or in a London nightclub, inspiration for the song, but such surprises are most unwelcome, and unfair, on the athletic field. Such sports stories have become all too common, representative of the new normal of our gender-confused culture where athletic organizations, high schools, and colleges don’t seem able to distinguish between boys and girls or men and women. This latest slap to female athletes comes from Oregon,

President Biden is trying to save his reelection campaign by embracing policies that matter most to young voters, but their defections now account for the largest drop in his support among any demographic. In April, Mr. Biden moved to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, the first step toward federal legalization. He also stepped up his efforts to cancel student loan debt, shifted U.S. policy on Israel, ordered the Justice Department to sue the parent company of Ticketmaster to lower concert ticket prices and made abortion access a central argument for his reelection. These election-year moves have failed to improve Mr. Biden’s appeal to young voters, who traditionally skew liberal.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is planning to virtually nominate President Joe Biden as the party’s presidential nominee ahead of their convention in August. DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison issued a statement on Tuesday in which he explained that the Democrat Party would be taking matters into their own hands and holding a “virtual roll,” in order to ensure that Biden appears on the ballot in all 50 states, according to the Hill.Under Ohio law, political parties are required to certify their presidential and vice presidential nominees at least 90 days before an election. However, the Democrat Party’s convention is scheduled to occur between August 19-22,

Let's face it, CNN's Jake Tapper is high up there on the list of folks who don't like former President Donald Trump. But on Tuesday, as the closing arguments were being made in the Manhattan trial of the former president and the case was about to go to the jury, even Tapper and other members of a CNN panel that included legal experts didn't think that the prosecution had proven the so-called "hush money" case against Trump. “It‘s not even about that he didn’t know about the reimbursement, it’s that he didn’t know that the bookkeeper used the drop-down menu to say legal fees, that that was not something

There are two times people make really bad mistakes: When they’re over-confident and when they’re desperate. The Biden administration is not over-confident. Desperation is why it dragged out an over-the-hill, minimally coherent, not-very-bright actor to be its spokesman regarding the show trial that Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan have staged in Manhattan to try to sideline Trump’s increasingly successful candidacy. The big headline was that Robert De Niro spoke outside the courthouse where the Trump trial was being held. I’ll have more on that in a minute, but the real news should be that it was the Biden administration that organized De Niro’s appearance, along with the

At a quick glance, it would probably be fairly easy for many of us to conclude that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American President Joe Biden have quite a bit in common aside from their age. They are both far to the left on most policy issues and they are not fans of free speech or even free movement when such are being exercised by their political opponents or critics. We've already covered many examples of this when it comes to Joe Biden, but you are likely also aware of Trudeau's treatment of the truckers in the Freedom Convoys, not to mention the vaccine mandates and lockdowns

A wave of Republican incumbents were swept out of the Texas House in Tuesday's primary runoffs, including a handful who opposed school vouchers last fall, handing Gov. Greg Abbott a tentative majority in the lower chamber on his signature issue. With most ballots counted across the state, six of the eight GOP House members who were forced into overtime appeared to lose their runoffs, continuing a surge of anti-establishment energy that had already led to the ouster of nine House Republicans in the March primary. The runoffs brought mixed results for Texas' hard right: the House gained a pro-voucher majority — for now — and the 15 GOP incumbents ousted
