An emergency has been declared after radiation was detected in a major Russian city. Authorities in the far eastern city of Khabarovsk have declared a state of emergency in an area where a "radiation source" was found, according to TASS news agency. It said on Friday that elevated radiation levels were detected near a power pylon about 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from residential buildings. No one had been injured or exposed to radiation and "there is no threat to the health of citizens", TASS quoted the local branch of Russia's consumer safety watchdog as saying.

Hibatullah Akundzada, the reclusive leader of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, rejected the idea of compromising when it comes to restrictions on women's life in the country this week. The leader of the Islamic theocracy, which retook Afghanistan in 2021 following the withdrawal of American forces that summer, addressed thousands of worshippers on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. Speaking and leading prayers at the central mosque of Kandahar, Akhundzada proclaimed that he "will not take even a step away from the Islamic law," according to a report in Voice of America.

Former President Donald Trump called President Joe Biden 'pretty pathetic' and claimed Iran wouldn't be attacking Israel if he remained in office. Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee, held a press conference early Friday evening after meeting at Mar-a-Lago with the embattled GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson, floating that Biden could get the country into a 'world war.' The ex-president was asked by a reporter about the U.S. warnings that Iran was about to strike Israel and if he'd been in touch with Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu.

San Diego saw a staggering 6,997 migrant encounters in just seven days at the start of April in an alarming indicator of the worsening border crisis, DailyMail.com can reveal. The number is around the same as other sectors normally see in an entire month, and only reflects those who were caught - meaning the true scale is likely higher. 'Unfortunately, I'm not surprised,' San Diego County Commissioner Jim Desmond told DailyMail.com Thursday. 'Texas is clamping down and other areas are clamping down.

President Joe Biden used campaign donations to pay his legal bills related to the investigation of his handling of classified documents, a stunning new report revealed on Friday. Biden and his allies have blasted rival Donald Trump for using donors' money to pay for his massive legal bills. But Biden is doing the same thing, Axios reported, revealing the Democratic National Committee paid more than $1.5 million to lawyers or firms representing Biden during special counsel Robert Hur probe of the president's handling of classified documents.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, but this is 2024, and it’s a whole new ballgame. Discrimination on the basis of race and sex is back with a vengeance, and it’s a big business these days, enforced at the highest levels. Now, however, some farmers in Texas are fighting back. Just The News reported Sunday that “a group of white farmers in Texas is asking a federal judge to block the U.S. Department of Agriculture from using race, gender or other ‘socially disadvantaged’ traits to determine who gets disaster and pandemic farm aid and how much.

Coeur d’Alene, an Idaho city with a population of over 50,000, had too many churches. Alexander Scott Mercurio, a new teen convert to Islam, had a plan to “fix that real soon.” Ramadan was almost over and Mercurio was unhappy because he believed that he was a bad Muslim who hadn’t even assaulted, let alone killed any Christians, and would go to hell. “I am a hypocrite who has not even spat in the face of a kafir (non-Muslim),” he complained in online chats. “Let alone spilled their blood and induced terror into their hearts and minds.” Mercurio wasn’t sure if he could be considered a good Muslim without killing Christians.

House Republicans demand to know why the largest Christian school in the U.S. was slapped with a steep $37.7 million fine by the Biden administration. They say the massive fine may based on 'political animus' and a tool of government weaponization being used by Biden's federal agency. Grand Canyon University (GCU), the nation's largest Christian school, was allegedly fined for lying to 7,500 students about the cost of doctoral degrees in October 2023 to boost enrollment, according to the agency. But GCU has denied the charges and is currently appealing the decision.

Disney is arguing it had a First Amendment right to fire 'Mandalorian' actress Gina Carano after she posted tweets that were out-of-step with the trans-rights movement, and an image the company claims was controversial as it pertained to the Holocaust. Carano sued the House of Mouse in February claiming the company broke the law then it retaliated against her for expressing personal political beliefs. Attorneys for the mega-entertainment brand filed a motion on Tuesday to dismiss the suit, arguing the company has a 'constitutional right not to associate its artistic expression with Carano's speech.'

During a portion of an interview with CNBC that was recorded in February and aired on Thursday’s “Cities of Success,” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston responded to a question on if the city was too open to migrants and too generous by stating that “it’s a balance. We want to be a welcoming city” but doing that without federal help “requires shared sacrifice, it requires compromise. So, we are both making cuts to city budgets to meet this financial need, and we are making cuts to the amount of services we can provide to the migrants that arrive and to the number of folks that we can serve.”

Speaker Johnson was asked by reporters why he changed his opinion on reforming Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a controversial surveillance law that is meant to target foreign adversaries, but often surveils Americans’ communications without a warrant. Johnson this week came out against a warrant requirement for Section 702 and moved not to allow an amendment that would have barred intelligence and law enforcement agencies from purchasing Americans’ private information through third-party data brokers. Rush Limbaugh warned Democrats would eventually promote pedophilia. Progressivism never stops. Its advocates never say, “This is far enough.” No sooner is one objective completed than left-wing agitators shout that a new social justice battle be waged. For centuries, God-ordained families headed by one biological man and one biological woman have been civilizations’ bedrocks. But just as progressives hunger to rewrite Western Civilization’s history (witness scholastic textbook revisionism and the razing of American Founders’ statuary), they crave cultural destruction. First, they urged same-sex marriages to be legally recognized.

At the end of Donald Trump's presidential term, Iran was nearing an economic collapse with little ability to project strength outside of funding terrorist proxies. Internal revolutions were brewing, and the Mullahs were in their weakest position in decades. Then Joe Biden took over. Since then Iran has been revitalized, seeing significant growth in its military budget due to the waiving of sanctions. The Islamic power has also come far closer to developing usable nuclear weapons. What did the United States get in return? It received a frayed relationship with long-time ally Saudia Arabia and absolute chaos from Kabul to Tel Aviv.

The bombshell essay penned by veteran NPR editor Uri Berliner this week is reportedly causing "turmoil" at his news organization. Berliner made waves on Tuesday for calling out the liberal groupthink that has plagued NPR's newsroom, pointing to their mishandling of Russiagate, the Hunter Biden laptop, the COVID lab leak theory and the ongoing Israel-Hamas war as examples of its left-wing bias while prioritizing racial diversity over ideological diversity. On Thursday, The New York Times detailed the "internal tumult" that has erupted among Berliner's colleagues and NPR leadership. According to their report, the essay was brought up at what was described as a "long-scheduled meet-and-greet"

A recent Gallup poll reveals that a mere 4% of Hispanic and Latino Americans use the fake term "Latinx." Interestingly, a significant portion, 15%, prefer to be identified as "Latino" or "Latina," while 23% favor the term "Hispanic." Another separate survey conducted by Bendixen & Amandi International, a Democratic firm, found that only 2% of respondents like the term, and 40% find it offensive. That has never stopped woke liberals from using the fake term to virtue signal their gender inclusivity. Latinx may get a lot of hype from woke white liberals, but it's not mainstream. So, naturally, a brand new term has dropped: "Latine." "Latine is the new Latinx,"
