Watch What Happens When a Virginia Police
Officer Comes Upon an Illegal 'Street Takeover'

This incident didn’t occur in Anacostia—this happened in Springfield, Virginia. One of the wealthiest counties in the country saw a chaotic “street takeover” by hooligans who tried to rip a police officer from her vehicle. The site of the mayhem was on Electronic Drive, where an army of miscreants were recklessly driving, doing doughnuts around 3 AM on Sunday. The dashcam shows how these thugs surrounded the officer’s car, with attempts made to open the doors of the cruiser. Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis believes his department “narrowly escaped a line-of-duty death scenario” (via WTOP):

Comments:

If you think this couldn't happen you you, your family or friends, you are deathly uninformed, or a liberal. 3rd world stuff in Virginia suburbs.

I guess they better start putting a sign on their police car doors that reads "Driver Does NOT Carry Cash!" Apparently the good citizens of Virginia want this chaos since they voted for it. So they deserve to get it good and hard.

She is not at fault. they do not tell us her history. Was so a newbie? She was overwhelmed. It may have been her first experience looking into the face of death. I had a buddy ,, we went to high school together. He had only been in country under two months, they took fire and he was killed. He froze. The Marines train their men well, nevertheless, it happens. That is not an unusual experience. People who are very well trained react much like she did. Because of "defund the police" and the in prisoning of officers doing their job and the rest of it, the forces are down and there are some who just are not ready yet. I know. I know a young woman, christian background, middle class, no street experience, in training, made a stop. Her supervisor was with her or she could have been hurt, bad. The big guy lunged at her and the supervisor took him down and she had to cuff him. In our culture we have called on the police for the heavy lifting. Even now, "we the people" stand down when we see treason, corruption, and crime levels never seen before instead ... we hope. We hope we can vote out the crooks and save the country. The reality is we face the same threats and react in the same way as she did. She called for help and her called was answered. Ours may not be because there are not enough police and it will take them too long. God bless this officer's heart. She is taking a stand and it requires courage. Next time she will do better.

mericans are being urged to stay away from classic American dishes like steak and eggs and some desserts because there's a small risk of catching bird flu. That is the advice of former FDA food safety advisor Dr Darin Detwiler who said animal products that are not properly cooked could harbor small fragments of the virus which is currently tearing through US farms. That means steak should be cooked well done and eggs with runny yolks should be avoided. Even salad dressings like Caesar can be a risk due to being made with raw eggs, he said. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Ukraine will lose the war against Russia unless the U.S. provides further military aid. According to The Kyiv Independent, Zelensky made the remarks on Sunday during a meeting with the Ukrainian fund-raising group UNITED24. “It’s important to specifically address the Congress: if the Congress doesn’t help Ukraine, Ukraine will lose the war,” Zelensky said. “If Ukraine loses this war, other countries will be attacked. This is a fact." The warning is one of the starkest since Russia invaded Ukraine over two years ago, as Congress wrangles over the condition of greenlighting further support.

There’s a famous story in American marketing circles about a pet food company that spent a fortune on a new dog food, but were horrified to find sales tanking. They’d done everything right! What could possibly have gone wrong? As the story goes, a high-priced consultant was brought in. His verdict? “The dogs don’t like it.” A similar story about electric vehicles (EVs) will probably one day be taught in business schools. For years, and particularly during the Mummified Meat Puppet Administration (MMPA) we’ve been told EVs are the future, [snip]Unfortunately for the MMPA, the dogs don’t like it:

My colleague Becca Lower reported on the earthquake in the New York/New Jersey area earlier, and there was some pretty big shaking for an area that isn't used to it. My family members who live not far from the epicenter said that they really felt the rolling, which for people in New Jersey is very unusual. They're still having some aftershocks, but as Becca explained, no one was seriously hurt and there was no significant damage. I wanted to note some of the funny and crazy takes from the day, since people weren't used to the experience of having an earthquake that they actually felt.

One word: Insanity. Twelve words: How does this absurd "woke" decision help minorities, most importantly, minority children? The insanity of "woke" not only continues; it continues to metastasize and attempt to sweep under the rug even the most vile acts committed against society. In this case, child abuse and child neglect. A Boston, Massachusetts, hospital announced on Tuesday that after finding black mothers were more likely to be reported to authorities for child abuse and neglect if a toxicology report came back positive, it would take steps to reevaluate its process to avoid perpetuating "structural racism." I'm sick to death of that term (excuse), are you? Let's continue.

Hollywood studio Paramount Global has been downgraded to junk status by S&P, which cited the ongoing plunge in cable TV subscriptions as the reason for the credit rating change. Paramount — which owns numerous linear TV properties including CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, BET, and Comedy Central — is facing a dire economic forecast that is shared by other legacy studios. American households continue to cut the cords by the millions, depriving studios of lucrative carriage fees. At the same time, TV advertising revenue is plunging due to weak consumer sentiment tied to historic levels of inflation brought about by the Biden administration.

Civil rights groups are calling for the collapsed Baltimore bridge to be renamed when it's rebuilt, citing accusations of racism against national anthem author Francis Scott Key. The Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County in Maryland voted unanimously to call for the renaming and will lobby governor Wes Moore on the proposal, as reported by the Baltimore Banner. The caucus includes civil rights groups such as the NAACP and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Leaders argued that the The Star-Spangled Banner author -who the collapsed bridge was named after - was a slave owner who wrote lyrics that scholars have said 'demeaned black people.'

San Francisco Mayor London Breed has been trying to crack down on the lawlessness by shutting down the illegal street vendors. But that has proven to be difficult. First, a 2018 state law has made it nearly impossible to enforce a ban because it prevents police officers from being involved in any crackdown. Only in California. But that's only half the problem.
