A pair of 19-year-old twin sisters were stabbed at a Brooklyn bodega early Sunday after rejecting their attacker’s advances — with one of the teens killed in the assault and the other hospitalized in stable condition. Samyia Spain and her sister, Sanyia, were with a group of friends and relatives inside Slope Natural Plus on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope around 2:20 a.m. when the two were attacked, police and sources said. According to relatives, the attack came after the suspect tried to hit on the two girls but was shot down. “He walked in and started hitting on her,” Alphonso Goodson, the girls’ grandfather, told The Post.

Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill also allegedly used the six-figure sum on dental surgery, pricey perfume and clothes, and multiple intravenous vitamin infusions, according to reports.
The spending spree came after Hill met the senior citizen in March 2021 and retained power of attorney over the 96-year-old the next month, the Orlando Sentinel reported, citing an Florida Department of Law Enforcement affidavit.

On Sunday evening, July 30, at around 8:00, I was in a supermarket near Roosevelt and Canal in Chicago’s South Loop, an upscale shopping, health club and movie hub on the edge of downtown. The area has been regarded as safe and on the upswing since the late 1990s and is even being considered for a new White Sox park or Bears stadium.
While entering the store I noticed scores of African American teenagers lining the street. At first, I thought that there was some kind of festival or parade. But there was already a city policeman guarding the entrance.
