Are Dems Heading for Extinction-Level Election?

Original Article

Donald Trump has held a narrow but consistent lead in just about every poll for several months now—having never led in the polls in either the 2016 and 2020 election cycles. More significant is where this lead has come from. Trump has not improved his share of white vote at all; his improved standing has come from huge gains in minority votes, as John pointed out recently in drawing our attention to a Financial Times meta-analysis of polls going back several cycles. That chart, in case you don’t remember, looks like this: Nate Silver looks closer at the trend in a new Substack, noting a breakdown

The New York criminal case against former President Donald Trump over allegedly miscategorized "hush money" payments to Stormy Daniels was initially scheduled to begin jury selection on March 25. However, after the Trump legal team requested a postponement until the Supreme Court rules on the presidential immunity issue and District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office acceded to a continuance after 31,000 pages of records from the US Attorney's Office were produced pursuant to subpoena (albeit, pushing for a 30-day delay rather than the 90 days requested by the defense), Judge Juan Merchan agreed to bump the trial 30 days, so

The father of a young woman tragically murdered by an illegal alien has broken his silence to discuss his personal pain and the political controversy surrounding the murder. A Venezuelan illegal is accused of murdering Georgia nursing school student Laken Riley. “I wake up every day thinking that I can call her, and I can’t,” her heartbroken father Jason Riley told an NBC interviewer, via Western Journal. Like his ex-wife, Riley is now supporting Donald Trump, in light of the disastrous border policies of Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats. Jason Riley doesn’t want his daughter’s death merely “used politically,” but recognizes that “Laken has been a rallying cry

It’s been apparent to anyone who isn’t in total denial that rabid antisemitism now lives at the very heart of the Democrat party. October 7 proved that it’s completely taken over the Democrats’ ideological nesting grounds and incubators (aka academia). Worse, antisemitism’s political face—that is, anti-Israel policies—is now an integral part of Biden’s administration. Biden needs the votes of the Israel haters, which means he’s gotten into bed with, and is forcing America into bed with, people who are indistinguishable from the Nazis at their most virulent. It’s old news that Biden is trying to force Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, out of office. It’s also old news that

As promised, Don Lemon released his interview with Elon Musk today. I watched it and I think you can see the moment when Musk decided he was not going to be doing any business with Don Lemon, but more on that in a moment. As Ed pointed out earlier today, Lemon's transformation from CNN primetime bigwig to morning show host to independent journalist on X is quite remarkable especially given what a snob he has been in the recent past about independent journalists. Simply put, I don't think Lemon likes the cards he's been dealt but he's determined to act as if this was all part of his master plan.

The Biden administration confirmed on Monday that Israel killed a top Hamas official during its ongoing war against the terrorist organization. The Biden administration’s national-security adviser, Jake Sullivan, spoke to reporters Monday and said in his opening remarks that Israel killed senior Hamas commanders, including its number three in charge, Marwan Issa. Issa was the deputy commander of the military wing of Hamas, and the man thought responsible for the October 7 terror attacks in southern Israel. “Israel has made significant progress against Hamas. They’ve broken a significant number of Hamas battalions and killed thousands of Hamas fighters, including senior commanders. Hamas’s number three, Marwan Issa, was killed

Democrats and the left love to tell us that allowing millions of illegal immigrants into the country is somehow "humane." But they never seem to have an explanation of how drug and human trafficking, rapes and assaults on the border, and becoming homeless, essentially living on the streets of America's cities, rise to the level of being humane. Democrat-run cities in blue states bragged about being sanctuary cities and states. But now, they are being overrun with illegal immigrants. There is one more thing to add to the dubious list of horrific problems the Biden administration has created with its open border policy - which no one

The Biden administration is expected this week to finalize highly anticipated regulations targeting gas-powered vehicle tailpipe emissions, considered the tip of the spear in its efforts to electrify the transportation sector. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is slated to issue the final rulemaking — which officials have boasted will incentivize greater adoption of electric vehicles (EV), but which opponents have criticized as a de facto mandate — as soon as Wednesday, industry sources told Fox News Digital. The regulations, a key part of President Biden's climate agenda, would ultimately force automakers to more rapidly expand electric options in their fleets beginning in a matter of years.

Last March, Matt Taibbi testified before congress about the investigation that was widely known as the Twitter Files. Here's a bit of what he had to say. The original promise of the Internet was that it might democratize the exchange of information globally. A free internet would overwhelm all attempts to control information flow, its very existence a threat to anti-democratic forms of government everywhere. What we found in the Files was a sweeping effort to reverse that promise, and use machine learning and other tools to turn the internet into an instrument of censorship and social control. Unfortunately, our own government appears to be playing a lead role…

Former President Donald Trump has not been able to get a bond to secure the $464 million fraud judgment against him, his lawyers said in a court filing Monday. Trump and his company need to post a bond for the full amount by next week in order to stop New York Attorney General Letitia James from being able to collect while he appeals. They've asked an appeals court to step in in the meantime and said Monday that they have not had any success getting a bond. An agreement between the two technology giants would allow Apple to license Gemini for the purpose of powering the iPhone software update this year, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter. If an agreement is reached, an announcement of the partnership will likely be made before the next version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 18, releases in mid-September.

Back when the Biden administration passed the hilariously named Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a significant debate broke out over a provision that would funnel massive amounts of money to the Internal Revenue Service. The funds would supposedly go to hire an army of new agents who would diligently work to ensure that everyone was "paying their fair share" of taxes and that government revenue was predicted to increase. Conservatives pushed back hard against the plan, but most of the IRS funding survived. Yet the anticipated benefits have still yet to show up. The reason for this, according to a new report from the Inspector General for Tax Administration is that

The Bar Licensure Task Force claims that the exam is only minimally effective in measuring competency and noted its unfair barrier to marginalized communities aspiring to practice law, according to the Washington Administrative Office of the Courts. The Task Force on Bar Licensure found that the usual bar exam unfairly stops people from underrepresented groups from entering the legal profession.

When he found out that his numbers were dropping, he was "seething." That's why he's now throwing Israel and Netanyahu under the bus, and doing all he can to try to appeal to the left to get them back into the fold. Free speech is on trial at the Supreme Court, but Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson is no fan of the First Amendment. The Constitution, you see, limits the government. But leftists want unlimited government — which is why they hate the Constitution. During Monday’s oral arguments for Murthy v. Missouri, formerly known as Biden v. Missouri, Jackson claimed to oppose any ruling in favor of Americans’ constitutional right to free speech if it limited the government’s ability to censor that speech via Big Tech. “My biggest concern is that your view has the First Amendment hamstringing the government in significant ways in the most important time periods,” Jackson told
