Biden admin set to finalize major gas

The Biden administration is expected this week to finalize highly anticipated regulations targeting gas-powered vehicle tailpipe emissions, considered the tip of the spear in its efforts to electrify the transportation sector. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is slated to issue the final rulemaking — which officials have boasted will incentivize greater adoption of electric vehicles (EV), but which opponents have criticized as a de facto mandate — as soon as Wednesday, industry sources told Fox News Digital. The regulations, a key part of President Biden's climate agenda, would ultimately force automakers to more rapidly expand electric options in their fleets beginning in a matter of years.

Just in time to prove Trump right about the "bloodbath" facing American automobile manufacturing in (God forbid} second Biden term. Chinese firms are spending billions building electric car plants in Mexico. If Biden succeeds in prohibiting Americans from buying gas-powered vehicles there is no way electric cars built in US plants paying American wages could compete with electric cars built in Mexican plants paying Mexican wages which under NAFTA would be shipped to the US tariff-free. That would indeed result in "bloodshed for American auto manufacturing and auto workers.

It is not JUST Biden. No, I am tired of the whole damn administrative state that issues rules with minimal if any legal underpinnings. I am even more angry at our lazy-arsed US Congress that passes laws without specifying details so that bureaucrats get to fill in the necessary details. And I am also damn tired that the Executive Branch dictates to all of us by 'phone and pen' how we are to live without even a 'Mother may I'. Fire the whole damn lot is what I want.

They will tighten the exhaust regulations to the point that it will become impossible to build a car with any normal gasoline engine and meet them. THAT'S their alternate plan to "madate EVs".....basically they are outlawing normal cars.

It’s been apparent to anyone who isn’t in total denial that rabid antisemitism now lives at the very heart of the Democrat party. October 7 proved that it’s completely taken over the Democrats’ ideological nesting grounds and incubators (aka academia). Worse, antisemitism’s political face—that is, anti-Israel policies—is now an integral part of Biden’s administration. Biden needs the votes of the Israel haters, which means he’s gotten into bed with, and is forcing America into bed with, people who are indistinguishable from the Nazis at their most virulent. Last March, Matt Taibbi testified before congress about the investigation that was widely known as the Twitter Files. Here's a bit of what he had to say. The original promise of the Internet was that it might democratize the exchange of information globally. A free internet would overwhelm all attempts to control information flow, its very existence a threat to anti-democratic forms of government everywhere. What we found in the Files was a sweeping effort to reverse that promise, and use machine learning and other tools to turn the internet into an instrument of censorship and social control. Unfortunately, our own government appears to be playing a lead role…

A new capital would signify a new beginning for the nation. Everyone who has seen the play Hamilton knows that the nation’s capital was moved to the present site in the District of Columbia due to a dinner-table bargain in 1790 between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton needed Jefferson’s support in Congress to win approval for federal assumption of revolutionary war debts; in return, Jefferson wanted Hamilton’s support in moving the capital from New York City to a location nearer to the population and geographical center of the country, later carved out between the states of Maryland and Virginia.

That's exactly what the EPA intends to do this week with strict new rules going forward against gas- and diesel-powered cars and light trucks. Expected as soon as Wednesday, the Biden EPA "is poised to finalize emissions rules that will effectively require a certain percentage — as much as two-thirds by 2032 — of new cars to be all-electric," according to Inside EVs. We currently have a Justice who uses words very poorly.
