Case Could Come on March 4

The U.S. Supreme Court could issue a ruling as early as March 4 regarding a case that seeks to bar former President Donald Trump from appearing on primary and general election ballots for the 2024 presidential election. The Supreme Court, in an unusual Sunday update to its schedule, didn’t specify what ruling it would issue. However, the justices on Feb. 8 heard arguments in the former president’s appeal of a ruling in Colorado and are due to issue their own decision. The March 3 announcement said the opinion would be posted online at 10 a.m. Washington time. “The court will not take the bench,” it only said on its website.

If they deny Trump the right to be on every state ballot, then the republicans need to get busy getting Biden denied the right to be on every ballot. JMO

Most likely scenario is not taking the case/sending back to lower court. Remember we have four confirmed Commies and one very compromised chief justice...

I think it means a unanimous ruling... cannot sanction someone from the bench before they are charged, let alone convicted. (Perhaps even a ruling that he was "charged" by the house impeachment, and found "Innocent/acquitted" by the Senate, making ANY Insurrection case banned under double jeopardy rules....blowing these ballot cases and Smith all out of the water at once....one can hope)

Besides Colorado, a trial judge in Illinois just ruled Trump off the Illinois primary ballot. I expect the Supreme Court decided to push this decision out now to put an early end to this nonsense.

If it's 9-0, expect the ruling to be as narrow as possible to allow Pres Trump to remain on the ballot, but leave an open door for additional deep state/Democrat shenanigans if Trump wins the vote. If CJ Roberts is the author of the opinion you'll see a very narrow scope which will prohibit states from removing Trump from the ballot on 14th amendment grounds as well as other constitutional protections (right to a trial, etc.) What should be said is shove all this stuff where the sun don't shine, but that usually isn't SCOTUS modus operandi,

Should be a slam dunk 9-0 ruling, but I suspect our newest Justice has yet to read the Constitution, so am expecting 8-1. Given the speedy decision, I think most of the Justices recognize this as a political hit job.

I expect an 8-1 ruling with the 2022 leaker Wide Latina aka justice Sotomayor being the dissenting vote.

During his 2021 campaign, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin committed to gutting neo-Marxist ideologies from state institutions. So, why won’t he commit to vetoing a bill that would require medical practitioners in the state to undergo “unconscious bias” training to keep their medical licenses? Passed by the Democrat-controlled General Assembly last month, Senate Bill 35 aims to force the Virginia Board of Medicine to require health practitioners to complete “unconscious bias” and “cultural competency” training to renew their medical licenses. The bill would also require the board to select certain organizations “that identify and facilitate an evidence-based curriculum to comply with this legislation.”

A new study bucks recent trends in health research that say people who eat a lot of red or processed meat face an increased risk of heart disease. A research team looked at UK Biobank data from over 1.8 million people: roughly 460,000 who ate processed meat, pork, beef, and mutton, respectively. Anyone with a history of cardiovascular disease was omitted from the study. The team found that eating red or processed meat was not linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. All odds ratios (ORs) of a person developing cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure, or atrial fibrillation were insignificant.

Any rational person familiar with the behavior of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis during the prosecutorial misconduct hearings that finally ended last Friday has probably concluded that her conduct has created the “appearance of impropriety.” This, according to defense lawyers for former President Trump and several co-defendants, is sufficient to disqualify Willis and the Fulton County DA’s office from prosecuting the RICO case they launched last August. Indeed, defense attorney Harry MacDougald cited six examples of actual conflicts of interest, any one of which is sufficient to disqualify Willis and her office. Yet it’s unlikely that it will happen.
