The Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump is eligible to run for office, overturning the Colorado Supreme Court decision that found him ineligible as a candidate and disqualified from the state ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
“[R]esponsibility for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates rests with Congress and not the States. The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court therefore cannot stand,” the per curiam order reads. “All nine Members of the Court agree with that result.”
The order was issued on March 4, just a day before more than a dozen states hold their primary elections.

Unanimous. Maybe there actually is some (small) level of intelligence in the liberal justices. Maybe.

Illinois are you listening? If they can take Trump out of the ballot, they can take anyone they don't like communist style. Back in the 1950s, Peron did that in Argentina winning with 99% of the votes being the only candidate on the ballot.

It's a shame that those Colorado thugs in robes can't be impeached for this garbage, fraudulent political hack job.

For all intents and purposes this was a unanimous 9-0 decision by the US Supreme Court. So watch as Democrat politicians and operatives come out, try to get on board, and fraudulently claim that they agree with that decision, relating to cases that were but a distraction and unnecessary for Biden to whip Trump in the November General Election, in complete contrast to what those Democrats were claiming before the Supreme Court decision was released this morning.

if the Supreme's had voted to allow a person to be removed, then the republicans also could have taken candidates off the ballot. which is against the Constitution states do not have the right to remove a person from a ballot.

It was Unanimous because some red states suggested they might do the same for Biden.

The people who brought these cases and the lower courts/authorities who decided these cases are such idiots. These claims were so far out of sane legal reasoning that (i) the proponents should be relieved of any further duties by reason of insanity, and/or (ii) arrested for insurrection.

With the court ruling that only legislation from Congress can enforce this amendment, does that not in someway affect Jack Smith’s case?

Re Illinois, I believe Clarice Feldman wrote Sunday (Amerian Thinker) that the Cook County judge who had PDJT removed from the primary ballot is a traffic court judge.

Just a good example of the partisanship and lack of integrity in the lower courts. Hopefully the law schools in America step up on logic courses, constitutional law and ethics.

Frivolous lawfare cases against Trump has been dealt a blow. Everyone knew this case was not constitutional, especially the CO Supremes, but they banned Trump regardless. This fashionable Dem mockery has to stop.

It is pointless to try to mindread why all 9 did this. It is a stunning victory for PDJT, the Constitution, and future candidates.
I seem to recall that all o these ballot bannings came with built-in stays pending kSCOTUS review/decision. This should cover all of them.

Almost every lawyer will say this decision by the SC was done with lightning speed. Considering the lack of any reason for this to brought before any court, I say, what took them so long to strike this down. It was such an obvious BS ruling by the Colorado SC, the U.S. Supreme Court should have struck it down within five minutes.

The ruling says "No State" can remove him...Maine and Illinois cases are now toast.
The court didn't so much "Reverse" the Colorado ruling, as they AFFIRMED the similar rulings already made by several other state courts where the same Lawfare Groups had tried and failed to remove trump from ballots.
Headlines may mention Colo/Ill/Maine...but there are(were?) 88cases in 45 states all trying to do the same thing.
SC just pulled a Barney Fife.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSyueBoC9mE

NIce, the Supreme Joke actually followed the constitution for once. The Joke noted that only Congress can address this issue. They didn't leave wiggle room for some court, executive action, regulatory nonsense. And completely cut the States off at the ankles. Had the Supreme Joke done this in 2000 in Gove V Bush none of the recent election laws changing due to executive or judicial fiat would have occurred.
