A new stage production of the highly popular coming of age play Peter Pan will seek to eliminate some of the original songs for the Native American characters, to rewrite the scenes to offer Native Americans a “safe place,” and to cancel the “stereotypes” and “caricatures” of Native peoples.
The latest Broadway revival has hired Lakota playwright Larissa FastHorse to rewrite the book for the new touring production because, in her words, the original play by J.M. Barrie “had caused harm to people.” “When you read the original material, it’s very hurtful, it’s blatantly hurtful."

California lawmakers are proposing mandatory training for OB-GYNs, midwives, and even maternity office receptionists that says women aren’t the only people who can get pregnant.
Legislation introduced last week by Democrats, which refers to pregnant women as "birthing people" and "nonbinary persons and persons of transgender experience," would require anyone involved in maternity care, from hospital cleaning staff to doctors, nurses, and even hospital-alternative birth centers, to undergo semi-annual training to undo their "multiple layers of potential biases" that pregnancy and childbirth are female experiences.

A series of social media posts Wednesday claimed that Google’s artificial intelligence “Gemini” is a racist piece of trash. (snip) In one example, a user asked for images of the pope, and was allegedly sent images of an Asian woman and a black man in papal garb, despite the fact a woman cannot be the pope and there has never been a black pope, as far as the Catholic Church will tell us. In another, users asked for images of the American Founding Fathers, Vikings, and again, the pope. And, you guessed it, not a single one of them was white.

Biden administration Sec. of State Antony Blinken told staffers at the State Department not to use "problematic" terms such as "manpower," "mother," and "father" in a memo.
According to a memo from the State Department obtained by the National Review, in early February, Blinken told staff about the dangers of "misgendering" as well as using terms that “can be problematic” such as "manpower" as well as “son/daughter" and “husband/wife.” (snip) Adding further on the topics of "gender," Blinken's note read that gender identity is the “innermost concept of self as masculine, feminine, a blend of both, or neither."

Relationship columnists and pop psychologists have long claimed that men and women are wired differently, and a new study has proven them correct.
Scientists developed an artificial intelligence model that was able to tell the difference between scans of men's and women's brain activity with more than 90-percent accuracy.
Most of these differences are in the default mode network, striatum, and limbic network - areas involved in a wide range of processes including daydreaming, remembering the past, planning for the future, making decisions, and smelling.

The Nevada Secretary of State’s Office launched an investigation after some residents were told that their votes had been counted in the recent primary election despite the fact that they had not voted. (snip) Registered Republican Daphne Lee told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that she and her family were all listed as having voted by mail even though they hadn’t. She added that she was told she was no longer registered to vote after attempting to opt out of getting mail ballots. (snip) Nevada has universal mail voting, meaning that every registered voter in the state is mailed a ballot.

Outgoing Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, a top contender to be the next leader of NATO, encouraged Western allies to stop fretting over the prospect of former President Donald Trump returning to the White House.
“We should stop moaning and whining and nagging about Trump,” Rutte said to the Munich Security Conference, according to Reuters. He added, “It’s up to the Americans. I’m not an American, I cannot vote in the U.S. We have to work with whoever is on the dance floor.” (snip) “We need to invest in our defense expenditure. We need to massively ramp up arms production, and we need to massively do more in support to Ukraine,” Rutte said.

An education advocacy group hit Portland Public Schools (PPS) with a federal civil rights complaint Thursday over a policy that requires factoring students’ race and gender identity into disciplinary decisions.
Parents Defending Education (PDE) alleges in its federal civil rights complaint that PPS is violating civil rights law and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment through its new “Student Support and Discipline” policy, which requires educators to respond to “disruptive student behavior” by developing a behavior support plan that considers characteristics like race. The policy also requires the school district to assign educators based on race and gender identity.

From Cooper v. Dolgencorp, LLC, decided Thursday by the Sixth Circuit, in an opinion by Judge Mathis, joined by Judges Moore and Murphy:
In 2016, Cooper began working for CCCI as a delivery merchandiser [who delivered products to customer stores]. Prior to CCCI hiring Cooper, he had already been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. (snip) The condition causes Cooper to use obscene and inappropriate vocalizations, including profanity (b****) and a racial slur (n*****)….
This led to repeated customer complaints, and eventually led Cooper's employer (Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc., or CCCI) to reassign Cooper to a lower-paying non-customer-facing warehouse position,

St. Patrick’s Cathedral says it was duped into hosting a “sacrilegious” funeral for a transgender activist, which left church brass outraged after she was eulogized as “St. Cecilia, mother of all whores.” (snip) The cathedral says it had no clue about Gintili’s background. (snip) Ceyenne Doroshow, who organized the funeral, told the Times that those close to Gentili wanted to have her funeral at St. Patrick’s because the Fifth Avenue building “is an icon, just like her.” However, she admitted that she never mentioned Gentili was transgender when putting it together.

The St. Louis Park public school district in Minnesota will reportedly allow Muslim families to opt out of LGBT reading lessons for students.
Two public interest law firms, True North Legal and First Liberty Institute, sent letters to the district saying forcing Muslims to participate in LGBT lessons is a violation of the First Amendment and state law, according to Alpha News. (snip)
These third- and fourth-grade level children were exposed to LGBT content in October 2023, which caused “significant confusion and distress” among the families, the outlet reported.

One of the tricks of knowing when a leftist judge is pulling a fast one is if the decision is really, really long. (snip) Indeed, generally speaking, in my thirty-five years as an attorney, I’ve never seen an appellate court uphold damages so disproportionate to actual injuries suffered—and again, there were no injuries in this case. The fact that there were no injuries in itself means that the case, from ig to zack, denied Trump due process.
I don’t see the judgment surviving an appeal, that’s for sure. (snip) And so, I think that this latest assault on Trump, rather than filling people with revulsion, will bring many around.
