New York City could soon ban Tide PODS and other laundry-detergent packs under the latest “green” push from lawmakers.
The “Pods are Plastic Bill,” introduced by City Councilman James Gennaro last week, would make it illegal to sell any pods and laundry sheets if they’re made with polyvinyl alcohol.
Fines for selling the pods would start at $400, double for a second violation and top off at $1,200 for flouting the rules more than twice, if the bill becomes law. The bill would also require education and outreach to businesses on the ban for the first year.
The law wouldn’t take effect until Jan. 1, 2026, if passed.

The elected officials of NYC and those who voted for them are at great risk here in the 21st century.
These alleged adults have been known to consume Tide Pods as if they were candy.
Help us end the scourge of Tide Pod ingestion today.
Send me all your Tide Pods now and I can help you end this terrible plague upon humanity.
I promise no Tide Pod sent to me shall hurt anyone anywhere.
Send Tide Pods Now...

For those who choose to regain freedom, they will have until January 1, 2025 to depart that sanctuary city and move to a nice, safe, and FREE location in flyover country.
I had a job where I spent some time in most of the large cities in the USA. I saw they slide into the s-holes (actually s streets and sidewalks),they have become. Liberal cities will fall under their own liberal agendas is taxpayers move out.
My wife moved out of Loudoun County (THAT Loudoun County) and joined me two years ago in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia where she found the people to be friendly, laws sensible, faster internet than in western Loudoun County, and by comparison, ridiculously low taxes,
Let's see if the democrats can run the cities without conservative republicans. How long will that last?
Escape from New York. use your tax savings to buy gas stoves, Tide PODS, and ammo at the gun club--firearms and ammo are exempt from sales tax! Freedom can be found in.flyover country. Choose your city and state carefully.

Don't ever be surprised when these clowns restrict bathing. All in the name of 'saving the planet. Then we will find out the same people are heavily invested in deodorant, and they will be pushing the use of deodorant on all media.

NYC should ban soap altogether.
And lecture us all about "smell-shaming."
Good times.

So this idiot admits he just threw this bill out there to get people’s attention, without knowing the facts. Can’t understand the incompetence of people voting this garbage into office.

What ever happened to powdered detergents in a cardboard box? Almost every detergent is the 'pods' or liquid in a plastic jug.

That should be a huge help to combat New York City's crime problem. It will prevent the warring tribes from shooting Tide Pods at each other with slingshots. We are watching Adams and his pack of morons compete for this year's Darwin Award.

Great thinkers! They can't take down cop killers and murderers in general but who betide you if you use a laundry pod. They'll enforce that heinous crime.

Interesting, #6. I lived in Loudoun County way back before the commuter crowd around Washington moved out that far and it was very much like West Virginia, no liberals and no crime. Much has changed.

What about those little things you put in the dishwasher. Are they “pods” also, and should we be taking action to ban them? Do them by hand, with no soap and cold water, or not at all, for the sake of the Planet.

In that city you have cops getting beaten half to dead by illegal alien vermin, citizens getting thrown in front of subway trains and by some miracle you get on one you subject to bad behavior from derelicts. But this is what Mayor Adumbs and his "Chocolate City" council is focused on? I guess it will keep idiot NYC teenagers from eating them but what's the point.
