Haley Pins GOP Loss in N.Y. Special Election
on Trump, Urges Party to ‘Wake Up’

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley blamed former president Donald Trump for Republican Mazi Melesa Pilip’s loss to Democrat Tom Suozzi in the special election for George Santos’s former Long Island House seat. Echoing the case they’ve made for their own candidate in the GOP presidential primary, Haley’s campaign argued in a Tuesday night statement that Trump’s brand is toxic among moderates in purple areas like New York’s third district and will continue to weigh down Republicans. “Let’s just say the quiet part out loud. Donald Trump continues to be a huge weight against Republican candidates.

Wasn't the Republican candidate anti-Trump? She speaks with a sometimes hard to understand foreign accent, whereas Suozzi has name recognition. If I'm not mistaken, he used to be the Nassau County Executive. Plus the snowstorm didn't help voter turnout. Nicki Haley is really reaching to blame Trump.

Santos won in a democrat district. When the republicans kicked him out for not being gentlemanly enough (can't have that secure vote!), Surprise!! The democrat he beat won it back. Of note, the wife and I were listening to a news article that talked about both candidates. At the end of the article, we couldn't figure out which one was the republican and which one was the democrat. Sounds like the voters had the same problem and went with the familiar sounding name.

Who believes anything in National Review. Listen to Trump instead: "Todd Starnes Dems Flip NY House Seat After GOP Ran an Anti-Trump, Pro-Choice Candidate SMG News Wire February 13, 2024 Credit: mark reinstein/Shutterstock The congressional seat previously held by ex-Rep. George Santos (R-NY) has been flipped. And there’s no one to blame but the Republican Party. Former Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi has won a closely watched special election for a vacant House seat once held by Santos, who was expelled from the chamber in December. The Associated Press projected that Suozzi would defeat Republican county lawmaker Mazi Pilip, to win back his old job. “Who knows what she really stands for? She’s George Santos 2.0. It’s the exact same nontransparent, phony baloney, just trying to get votes instead of saying what you really think,” Suozzi charged on the eve of the election. Pilip had distanced herself from the former president through much of the campaign, but later admitted she had voted for him in 2020. She also hedged on whether she was pro-life. “There’s two Democrats on the ballot, and the option is do we get a Democrat or a Democrat-Republican-lite version of a Democrat,” Santos told CNN as the reason for his not voting. “I will not bring myself to vote for a registered Democrat, period. It’s just against what I believe in.” President Trump issued a scathing rebuke of Pilip and the Republican party Republicans just don’t learn, but maybe she was still a Democrat? I have an almost 99% Endorsement Success Rate in Primaries, and a very good number in the General Elections, as well, but just watched this very foolish woman, Mazi Melesa Pilip, running in a race where she didn’t endorse me and tried to “straddle the fence,” when she would have easily WON if she understood anything about MODERN DAY politics in America. MAGA, WHICH IS MOST OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, STAYED HOME – AND IT ALWAYS WILL, UNLESS IT IS TREATED WITH THE RESPECT THAT IT DESERVES. I STAYED OUT OF THE RACE, “I WANT TO BE LOVED!” GIVE US A REAL CANDIDATE IN THE DISTRICT FOR NOVEMBER. SUOZZI, I KNOW HIM WELL, CAN BE EASILY BEATEN!"

Right on cue Nikki Haley, a craven, spinless, feckless shrew, continues to divide our party and our country. No Nikki, Trump didn't lose this election. Rhinos like you, rhinos who ousted George Santos, weakening an already razor thin House majority lost the election and the seat. And for what? Now that George Santos is unemployed, what did it get republican voters? Heck, what did it get the country? And you know what Nikki? Republicans deserve to lose that seat. But like everything else in NYS I firmly believe, once again, this election was stolen by the same democrats whose money you Nikki, are happily lapping up. Omar, Talib, Cori whatever her name is, AOC, and other terrorists, Menendez sitting at home with the wife playing with his ill gotten gold bars, Blumenthal, the senator from Connecticut LYING about being in Viet Nam, and Biden and his family, so thoroughly corrupt that we know he and they sold out the United States of America to China, Russia, Iran and others for millions of dollars, for filthy lucre. Do democrats EVER even suggest that these people be removed from office because they are not only liars, but threats to our country? NO! NEVER! Democrats know that the only thing that matters is winning, holding power and and using their power to continue to crush our once great Republic. Yeah, republicans deserve to lose and lose they will with shrews like you. Sorry for the rant.

I would agree that there are some wobbly RINO "republicans" that don't realize that we have to fight for what we believe in. Trump fights and wins but these people don't like it that he is "harsh" with the dems. They would rather be nice losers. So yes, there are some voters that may peal off from Trump. But there are a MAJORITY of Republican voters who will peal off from Nikki and hand the win to the dems. Meanwhile, Trump is pulling in votes from independents and minorities that are finally seeing through dem games. No thanks to Nikki. South Carolina has Trump up over Nikki 65 to 23. Think she will wise up after getting trashed in SC?

See the George Santos quote cited in #13: “There’s two Democrats on the ballot.” That seems literally to have been the case. Per Laura Loomer, who is very reliable as a researcher, Pilip is a registered Democrat with no plan to switch to Republican. That being so, her disinclination to support the front-runner of her alleged “party,” Donald Trump, is less surprising. And having learned this, I wondered who exactly was she going to caucus with? Is there a House rule covering party registration? So at minimum Ronna Romney McDanel or the RNC or the NY GOP, or all of the above, did a lousy job of vetting. Or did they? RINOs used to find it necessary to at least posture as a Republican to win elections, the Trojan Horse strategy. Pilip represents something new – a Democrat openly competing for a Republican seat seemingly with the blessing of the state and national Republicans.

#1, New York had legal abortion even prior to Roe, so it's not uncommon for any candidate to be supportive or just not an issue since it's been legal there for well over 50 years. And, you are likely going to need more liberal-leaning candidates in places like the Northeast than you may find in other parts of the country too. No one needs to be pure on 100% of everyone's issues, just ensure Republicans are elected to have the Majority to make policy.

Republicans just don't get it. "The stupid party" says it all. The Supreme Court did not outlaw abortion! All they said is that it was up to the states. The states can do what they want. The court was just against with the federal government passing a law mandating abortion legality. Some states may say it is OK and some may not. Let the people decide. Abortion should not be an issue.

Did Haley show up in the district, do campaign appearances with Mazi? Pay for campaign adverts? Donate money? Do phone calls/GOTV? Did Haley send some staff to help out? Dems sent money, sent staff, bought airtime, hired "Professional" GOTV agents. Mobilized their whole "Machine" Mazi said she had nothing to do with Trump, so Trump said he'd have nothing to do with Mazi, now Haley says the loss is Trumps fault? Truth is...the only way Haley can even get a mention from the "Press" is when/if she bashes Trump in some fashion, 70% of her minuscule votes received so far are from Democrats switching briefly to vote against Trump, they brag about it, and that they will be voting Dem in every other race.

DDemocrat Tom Suozzi captured a victory in the special election for New York's Third congressional district to replace serial fabulist and former Rep. George Santos. The Associated Press projected that Suozzi triumphed over Republican Mazi Pilip with 52 percent of the total vote counted. 'This race was fought amidst a closely divided electorate, much like our whole country. This race was centered on immigration and the economy, much like the issues all across our country,' Suozzi said speaking to a crowd of supporters Tuesday night on Long Island. 'We won this race because we addressed the issues and we found a way to bind our divisions.'

Hollywood Biden cheerleader Rob Reiner is once again pushing the left’s “Christian nationalism” boogeyman, saying conservative Christians who are politically active are “antithetical to the teachings of Jesus.” Rob Reiner — who remains one of President Joe Biden’s biggest Hollywood fundraisers — spoke to Newsweek to promote the upcoming documentary God & Country, which Reiner produced. “This movement that they have here seems completely antithetical to the teachings of Jesus,” Reiner said. “Jesus was about peace and love and helping thy neighbor and those less fortunate than ourselves. And I thought that was something that we should all aspire to. So to me this movement is going totally opposite the teachings of Jesus.”

Willis defended paying Wade in cash for her their vacations together, and said she had piles of money in her house because her father told her to keep six months of savings available at all times. In another extraordinary moment she told lawyer Ashleigh Merchant, who is representing Trump co-defendant Michael Roman, that she was 'not a hostile witness' and she 'wanted' to testify. She accused Merchant of 'trying to implicate that you slept with somebody the first day you met them.' 'Ms Merchant's interests are contrary to democracy,' she fumed, accusing her of 'lies' about when she and Wade dated.

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said this week that he speaks to Joe Biden all the time and that his mind is just fine, going on to suggest that questions about Biden’s mental health are just right wing propaganda. This is fantasy talk from Schumer. Recent polling indicates that the vast majority of the American people have questions about Biden’s mental state and the Hur report only confirmed this. The fact that Schumer even felt he had to address this issue is very telling. The Hill reports: Schumer: Biden’s mental acuity is ‘great’

Chicago’s Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson recently touted his efforts to bestow $18 million exclusively to “black and brown” businesses to feed the thousands of illegal border crossers the city is housing. [SNIP] During a press conference on the partnership, the “sanctuary city” mayor celebrated the program, applauding “black and brown businesses” as the “soul” of Chicago. “The $17 million investment for these 18 black and brown small businesses, is really the, um… it really captures what I call the soul of Chicago. It’s who we are,” Johnson told the media.

A California lawmaker has proposed an ambitious plan to raise the minimum wage to $50 per hour. Democratic Representative Barbara Lee argued that, due to the affordability crisis in the San Francisco Bay Area, a family of four needs at least $127,000 to survive. Lee's proposal means that minimum wage workers would earn more than $100,000 per year. She made these comments while debating with Reps Adam Schiff (D-CA), Katie Porter (D-CA) and Republican Steve Garvey. Schiff and Porter have both called for the minimum wage to be increased to at least $20 an hour. However, Garvey has resisted raising

Each time, I get angrier and angrier. These poor girls. Biological Maelle Jacques won the New Hampshire state high school title in the high jump. Jacques’ winning jump was 10″ lower than the winning height in the boys’ match: Kearsarge Regional High School sophomore Maelle Jacques, a biological male, took first place in the girls high jump competition on Sunday, beating every female in the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) indoor track and field championship. As expected, Jacques dominated and finished with a 5’1” mark, an inch better than any other athlete in the girls Division II competition. In the boys Division II, the lowest high jump was 5’8”,

Given the wholesale disaster that has been the Biden presidency, one has to wonder how it all happened. We have all seen the Democrat party become radicalized, almost purely Marxist, since the Obama administration. Obama promised to transform the country and he surely did. He effectively drove race relations backward by seventy years. It is common knowledge that Obama despised his VP Biden. Why he was chosen to be his VP in the first place is anybody’s guess. Biden was a known jerk, a racist (his mentor was KKK member/aficionado Robert Byrd), rather dumb, a plagiarist, and a pathological liar.

George Soros, the left’s favorite billionaire, is buying up American radio stations by the hundreds, ahead of the 2024 election. This is obviously part of a strategy, because that’s what Soros does. He hatches backdoor plans to exert influence over American politics. A few years back, he pumped a ton of cash into district attorney races across the country and we all know how that worked out. This is his new plan. Could there be more to this than gaining media influence? The Washington Times reports:
