Nearly two dozen Senate Republicans thumbed their noses at colleges and constituents by joining with Democrats to pass a massive $95 billion foreign aid bill.
Adding insult to injury, a final vote of 70-29 with 22 Republicans in favor pushed through the bill that pours American taxpayer money into aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan while doing nothing to secure the U.S. border.
With more than half of Senate Republicans voting against it during the overnight session, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was clear he placed no value on their arguments. He led the minority of 22 GOP lawmakers to hold hands with Democrats and get the bill passed. even delivering

I like the fact that the real Republicans thumbed their noses at colleges. It's about time someone told off those effete institutions!
Good for you - - let's smack down those colleges!

If those Republicans that voted for that bill have children, their children should disown them and then change their last names. How do they sleep at night? Or I should say how many drinks does it take to knock them out. What a sorry bunch.

Making ridiculous claims of treason are not helpful, especially when there is REAL treason going on.
Just like the idiot Dems calling everything "racism", it just makes them look foolish and devalues the word.

We are borrowing money to send to other countries while letting our own borders be overrun. Our country is being looted by politicians and other profiteers. The people are being systematically poisoned and divided. It will ultimately lead to the fall of our country. In the decades to come, books will be written about this insanity.

Where Kennedy’s concerned, I’m reminded of the little boy who demanded that Shoeless Joe Jackson “say it ain’t so.” Why, John? We thought we could depend on you. We thought you wouldn’t betray us. The other RINO’s we expected would turn on us. They always do. But you? Why’d you do it?

Wicker is up for re-election in March, he always disappoints by saddling up to McConnell. Might just vote for whoever is running against him, or stay home. I'm fed up with the whole bunch just like most Americans.

Agree with #5 - Treason is not an offense that is in the eye of the beholder. Treason was loosely defined in the Constitution “only in levying war” against the U.S. or giving enemies “aid and comfort.” It is currently a specific charge for violating a public law. It has elements of offense that must be met as spelled out in 18 U.S. Code § 2381, “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.” This was originally signed into public law in 1948, and amended in 1994. If the U.S. is not at war, the definition of enemies of the United States is ill defined but it isn't subject to popular opinion, so has rarely been used under the current U.S. Code. While there were prosecutions up to, and including WWII, with only 12 Americans convicted in our Nation's history, only one person has been charged with treason since post WWII, when American born Tokyo Rose was convicted in 1949, under the "aid and comfort" clause for her radio broadcasts from Japan. She received a ten year sentence. She was later pardoned by President Ford, after reports from American POWs that she smuggled food to them.

I'm so relieved that it wasn't treason; only betrayal and treachery. The Repubcapons (Gelded Obama Patsies) never miss a chance to stab us in the back. At least it's not treason, so it's all good.

These Republicans sacrificed their reputations and their integrity voting for a bill that has infuriated their constituents. A bill, mind you, that Johnson has already said is DOA in the House. Kind of mind boggling.I can’t follow the thought processes of politicians.

I recently read a Bible footnote that sums it up for me. The footnote has to do with Solomon in the Old Testament. I won't do all of the footnote. Here it is: "In accumulating chariots and horses, a huge harem, and incredible wealth, Solomon was violating God's commands for a king. God prohibited these actions because He knew how they would hurt the nation both politically and spiritually. The more luxurious Solomon's court became, the more the people were taxed."
Too much taxation creates burdens for people and unease. The fact that Mitch McConnell and all of these Republicans were okay with this bill tells me the Republican party doesn't understand their role. That responsibility falls on the RNC and guess what? The RNC is financially drained and they themselves are going through boat loads of money. So now we have a government who wants to burden us by taking on all these conflicts/wars AND all of the people coming across the border.
Sounds like the Democrats and RINO's want to accumulate their "chariots, horses, harem, and incredible wealth" and whatever else comes their way. . .

this whole hodgepodge of stupidity can only be attributed to one word: TRUMP
- even the liberal Republicans are afraid of him because he is so immensely popular which no candidate for presidency has ever had for a very long time
- even Abraham Lincoln was scorned and criticized by some Republicans who had an agenda to weaken the Union to the point of giving a victory to the Confederacy on purely economic issues to save their wealth and promote unity under another Union president
- but Donald Trump has ignited more wrath and condemnation by the demcommies, RINO's and card carrying communists and those seeking the same economic plan as the wealthy during the 1860 - 1865 time span than any president, ever
- we have had some great presidents in our history but none can equal the level of greatness that our President has earned just by being a man of the people and not the fur and champagne class

Just yesterday, I got TWO calls from the RNSC asking for money. They must be desperate because I haven't given them a penny in five years, and even then, it was only a pittance. Both times, I cut them off, telling them I was tired of them caving to the Democrats, and I was done supporting them. I finished with "quit calling me" and hung up. Both calls were "on recorded lines," so if someone is interested in why I'm not giving, they can listen. I suspect they're not, which is why I didn't waste much time talking to them.

So we are not only now involuntarily supporting the Ukraine war, the Hamas/Israel war(both sides, does that make sense, re ending it?) but now they are adding in Taiwan aid as if it is an ongoing conflict(does that mean DC is counting on it?). Regarding Ukraine, team Biden and Congress have already ignored the tactic of building a results-getting coalition that Bush senior built during the Gulf war. If Biden were smart and he is not, he would build a coalition, an army from those former Soviet satellites, to fight NOW in Ukraine. Because considering the power trip the corrupt/evil Putin is on now, it is just a matter of time before Russia attacks them as well, to reconquer. Plus, in a faux pas of war strategy, DC has NO exit strategy, NO clearly defined goals, outcome, to end the Ukraine/Russia war. It's all blank check and "trust us" from their perspective. What could possibly go wrong?

And our supposedly conservative Idaho RED State's Republican Senators, now officially Rinos, Risch and Crapo, voted for this! Patriots rise up and vote these phonies out of office! And that goes for the rest of the phonies who voted for this Give Away Foreign Aid before THEY protected and secured our SOUTHERN BORDER from invasion of MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS!
