Special counsel report on Biden a ‘partisan
hit job’, Democrats say

Joe Biden, senior aides and political observers strongly criticised the special counsel, Robert Hur, for extensively discussing the president’s age and allegedly fading memory in his report on Biden’s retention of classified information from his time as a senator and as vice-president – which did not produce an indictment. Hur, who Donald Trump appointed US attorney for Maryland, “could not refrain from investigative excess”, said Bob Bauer, Biden’s personal counsel. Though this was “perhaps unsurprising given the intense pressures of the current political environment”, Bauer added, the final report “flouts Department [of Justice] regulations and norms”.

I laughed out loud--HARD--when I saw the headline for this article. A special counsel hand-picked by the Dims makes a report that it's a partisan hit job. More likely it's a Dim first step in a plot to remove Dementia Joe from the 2024 ticket.

Was there an alternative to the report? Seems to me the report was very accurate. Even with an indictment the trial would have gone on for a long time as the defense would have claimed diminished mental health and Biden is not able to understand the trial and could not help in defense. More reason Biden should not run for a second term.

Hur, in his report, gratuitously attacked Trump, contrasting Biden's "cooperation" with Trump's stonewalling investigators. Besides, Hur's report can effectively be used by Biden as a defense to prosecution. Having read over half of the report, it is clear that Hur laid out a roadmap for Biden to avoid prosecution, something akin to keeping a serial killer off of death row by reason of insanity. While the report doesn't help Biden politically, in the longer term it is full of tidbits that eliminates Biden's culpable mental state (intentionally and knowingly) with regard to the laws Biden broke in secreting and sharing the contents of classified documents, expressly to use by his ghostwriter for the book Biden intended to have written to enrich himself.

Let's get real here. Biden didn't get the shiv from Hur without approval. Biden is a loser and the dems have let this go on long enough that they have no options. It's too late to get a new candidate on the ballot. The solution, get Biden tossed out for mental incompetence. Then, come the dems' convention, they can pick an new, unelected candidate due to the "emergency" situation that they manufactured. They, of course, will deny they knew Biden was incompetent, despite most of the public thinking so for many months and many of us since before the 2020 election. Even if they lose, they escape the gross embarrassment of a senile Biden trying to campaign and having to hide from the public and Trump because he can't string a sentence together without expressing senile anger and getting confused and mentioning talking to long dead people he spoke with recently. How could the dems continue to support such a broken candidate without sacrificing all the little credibility they have left? For dems to remain a credible party, Biden needs to be gone. That's why Hur released the report with the statements damning Biden's competence. He opened a VERY necessary door for the dems to walk through. Someone TOLD him to do it.

I used to believe in a fair and impartial justice system until the Democrats weaponized the DOJ and our judiciary. As a retired law enforcement officer I am ashamed of the FBI, the partisan judges, and DA's that have seemingly infected our once great system of justice. Unless you've been living in a cave or under a rock it has become quite obvious that there is now a two-tiered system of justice in place in our country. Hillary was allowed by the FBI to destroy her emails that contained classified information. Then disgraced FBI Director James Comey decided a successful prosecution of her was unlikely therefore no charges were filed. Now the DOJ has determined that Joe Biden is too senile for his illegal storage and sharing of classified documents while a private citizen so he should not be prosecuted. But the corrupt DOJ, under the leadership of partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland, is full steam ahead in the prosecution (persecution) of former president Donald Trump. In other words if you're a Democrat you get a pass, but if you are Donald Trump or one of his supporters you get prosecuted to the full extend of the law. Just ask the January 6th political prisoners!

Perhaps Biden's people would prefer that the Special Prosecutor Hur had said that Biden had broken may laws regarding his mishandling of classified documents and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Would that have made them happy? They would have still called Hur a partisan hack. No matter what Hur did, short of saying that Biden did absolutely nothing wrong, he was legally able to have the classified documents, and that he had kept them secured; he would have been criticized by Biden and Democrats. In some ways, Hur's conclusions are even worse than prosecuting Biden. Now the public will convict Biden of being incompetent based on what they already know and the contents of this report.

What comes into question is how long he's had the issues, why he has not been an active President (calls a lid most of the time or is on vacation 1/3 of the time)? How much of what "he's done" in the past 3 years could be considered null and void due to mental defect? That the President didn't have the actual ability to understand what he was signing (either Executive Orders or Legislation)? How many Democrat House and Senate members have had interaction with him over the past 3 years?

Napoleon Bonaparte is reputed to have originated the expression, “Never interfere with the enemy when he is in the process of destroying himself.” It’s to be hoped that, when it comes to the Democrats and their reckoning with Biden’s profoundly diminished brain power, Republicans heed this advice. In 2020, when Biden ran for office, conservatives warned that (a) he was a deep well of corruption, kind of like an unplumbed cesspool; (b) he was never the brightest bulb in the box, to begin with; (c) he was showing early signs, if not of clinical dementia, but at least of age-related diminished capacity; and (d) that he seemed to be in
