King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement this evening.
The 75-year-old monarch has returned to London from Sandringham to begin treatment immediately.
It is not connected with his recent surgery and is not prostate cancer, but medics spotted it when he underwent his medical procedure for an enlarged prostate. The King is understood to have personally informed his sons Prince William and Prince Harry about his condition.
The Duke of Sussex will travel to the UK to see him in the coming days, a source close to Harry said.

Prostate cancer is one of the more successfully treated cancers. This is "not prostate cancer but spotted when doing surgery for enlarged prostate". Hmmmm.
That doesn't sound good. It may be a metastatic cancer from elsewhere, and most cancers, once they metastasize are extremely deadly.
Not a fan of the man's foolish and destructive political views, but I still wish him well, hope he survives it.

Also think he is a fool but do not want any person or family to have to deal with cancer. Lost a good friend just 2 months ago and now her husband is in cancer hospice. Unfortunately something they shared in the past several years. So hard on her children and her parents are still living. Hoping that his condition can be dealt with. Cancer, nasty business and too many suffer.

King for a Day. He is all in for "Climate Change" so I wonder if his remains will be composted when the time eventually comes.

Sounds like they found cancer in the prostate chips that are removed in the transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), which is a common procedure for reducing the symptoms of BPH. The chips of removed prostate are examined by a pathologist microscopically and it is not unusual to find cancer. Prognosis would depend on how widespread it was in the chips, the grade of the cancer and of course if it has spread outside the prostate. Of course it’s possible that he underwent some other diagnostic studies that revealed a different cancer.

It's NOT prostate cancer. It is some other form of cancer that was found during his prostate treatment. That was clear from the release by Royal Communications dept.
I wish His Majesty a successful treatment and a speedy recovery.

Will Harry stay in England?
If the cancer was found near the prostate...... GAG!
(No wonder they are not saying what type it is. )
Will Me-again think she should again be elevated to queen?
Will Harry behave himself if he doesn't have Me-again poking him in the ribs?
Will Harry ever understand why he could not find an English wife?
What will the leverage kids think when they found out that they have been deprived of their English roots?

OT, but I think I saw something about Catherine having surgery and the word 'cancer' was there. Didn't read the article so I shouldn't say. I pray good health for all of them.

More and more cancers are very treatable. A relative has a lymphatic cancer, had enlarged nodes. The drugs that were taken made the tumors disappear in six weeks, now free of cancer. But, taking the 'cancer inhibitor drugs' permanently. But....beats the alternative, and essentially zero side effects from the drugs, I have been told.
I looked into the drugs and they specifically interfere with a critical process that the cancer cells must have, and blam....just wiped it out. Her doc tells her that this result is very common with this particular form of cancer.
Let's hope that whatever the King has is one of the treatable ones, not pancreatic which has taken five people that I know personally, one a very good friend and shooting buddy for over 40 years.

Poor Will. He's caring for his wife, three children, is very involved with his Dad's job as king, and now this. I wish King Charles and Katherine speedy recoveries. Like most here, I never cared for Charles but I don't wish ill on him.

Each cancer remains identifiable even when it metastasizes to other locations. Thus when they say it is something other than prostate cancer they mean just that.
The BPH peocedure would probably have been a version of TURP - either conventional or laser - to relieve pressure4 on the urethra. That another cancer was found makes me womder about something located in his urinary system - or possibly testicular cancer.

One thing about all this uncertainty, unless William wants to give Harry and Meagan keys to become the next King and Queen of the UK, William should immediately stop flying around with his kids in helicopters and other aircraft just as Queen Elizabeth told him to do!

If King Charles is unable to be king because of his cancer and Prince William is unwilling to be king and Harry and Meagan are less popular than Biden and Kamala. Remember William has an older sister that was raised as a non royal in relative obscurity. Maybe she would want to be queen.
