Our Weird Passivity Toward Iran’s Aggression

Watching our response to Iranian aggression against us and our allies, I’m reminded of Sherlock Holmes mystery, “The Curious Case of the Dog That Didn’t Bark.” Turns out the watchdog didn’t bark because it knew the thief, and my supposition is that there is a good reason why we have behaved as if Iran and its proxies merit no more meaningful response: This Administration -- as did Obama’s -- has been thoroughly compromised respecting the ayatollahs. Hussain-Abdul-Hussain, who analyzes such things for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, summarized the recent provocations of Iran. This week, Iran attacked without provocation Pakistan,

The man who caused me to cease being a democrat, Jimmy Carter pulled the rug out from under our best friend in the Gulf Region. The Shah of Iran was a friend of America, and in return for his friendship, he was allowed to shop at Uncle Sam's Club for military hardware that kept his Arab neighbors in acceptable behavior. But Jimmy decided that Iran should be controlled by the radical Islamic ayatollahs. Had the Shah remained in power, there appears that the two Gulf wars may not have taken place. This is the root cause of the unrest in that region.

Not weird at all except for Obama's strange relationship with stepmother Valerie Jarrett, the pro-Iranian woman that he worshipped and took as his mentor. His warped mind caused by muslim indoctrination from his drunken father and homosexual indoctrination by Uncle Frank Marshall Davis turned him into an anti-Christian, anti-white, hate-filled pro-islamic tool.

Not THAT hard to figure out. Obama's topmost advisor, Valerie Jarrett, although an heir to several generations of Chicago political insiders, was born and spent her first 5 years in Iran. There by choice (her father was a medical doctor there), her parents undoubtedly instilled in her a bone-deep affinity for all things Persion. So there you go.

Re: #5 - My first vote for president went to Carter in '76. I was young and in the Navy and Carter, a former Naval officer, was openly Christian, and had governed a large, growing state. I voted for him in spite of my grandfather, a Texas farmer, telling me that he had voted for Woodrow Wilson in 1916 and that after Wilson, he swore off ever voting for a democrat again, as the party had left him. Wilson was one of the architects of the Administrative State, the father of the Deep State. After the terrible Carter years, when I was out of the military and working my way through college, I swore off democrats and went enthusiastically for Reagan, as did a majority of my fellow students at my private, conservative,Christian college in Texas. After the Vietnam debacle, and crushing inflation, it was time for a huge change in our country's leadership, much like the situation today under Biden and his proto-communist, pro-Islam/China, anti-American democrats, who only seemed all too happy to have an economically and militarily weakened and bullied US, further watered down by millions of illegal alien invaders from around the world, being red-carpeted into our country, in violation of existing immigration laws. Had Reagan not been available in 1980, we would have had to invent him. Reagan and the conservative movement, was such a contrast to Carter, that after graduating college during Reagan's first term, I went back into the Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. While I would never confuse Trump's populism with Reagan conservatism, Trump seems to be the only candidate for '24 who has the drive and instincts to at least start the turn-around of our country post Obama/Biden. I'm under no illusion that Trump can single-handedly "drain the swamp." It took 100 years after Wilson to flood the swamp and spawn the Deep State and it won't go away in four years, as much of the Deep State was created by legislation, such as DHS, which will require additional legislation to dismantle, requiring a high degree of statesmanship between the Chief Executive and the conservative leadership in both houses of Congress. But first, we have some votes to cast and protect.

Lawyers for former President Donald Trump on Thursday urged the Supreme Court “to put a swift and decisive end” to efforts to kick him off the 2024 presidential ballot over his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss. In a written filing, Trump’s lawyers called on the court to reverse a first-of-its-kind Colorado Supreme Court decision that said Trump should not be on the state’s Republican primary ballot because of his role in the events that culminated in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. The justices are hearing arguments Feb. 8 in a case that both sides say needs to be resolved quickly so that voters know whether Trump,

Washington, DC, health officials are sounding the siren about a possible measles exposure at two local airports — and thanks to years of chronic dishonesty and bungling from our public health “experts” on COVID, this is now something the nation actually has to worry about. Why? Because the rate of measles vaccinations for kids has plummeted. The 2021-2022 academic year saw only 93% of kindergartners with an MMR vaccine; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have charted vaccine exemptions as the highest they’ve ever been. If you think that same agency’s endless flip-flopping and outright lying on COVID, vaccines,
