The manufacturer of the door plug that blew out of an Alaska Airlines flight and plummeted 16,000 feet onto an Oregon man’s property was the target of a recent class-action lawsuit that alleged “widespread and sustained quality failures.” The federal lawsuit against Spirit Aerosystems was filed less than a month before the mid-air emergency aboard the ill-fated Boeing 737 MAX 9 on Friday, NBC News reported. Investors in the company — the main supplier of fuselage parts to Boeing — had emphasized the importance of the 737 MAX program after deadly accidents involving the model in 2018 and 2019, according to the outlet.

Spirit Aerosystems bought out the old Boeing Witchita plant and apparently is run by idiots, fools and morons with no clue how to build quality aircraft products. Wichita is in Kansas, but has always been a haven of leftists from the coasts and not a safe place. Lots of crime in that city. Dems wreck everything.

One has to wonder how many passengers, pilots and cabin crew members are comfortable containing themselves in a Boeing 737 MAX 9 for a flight into the wild, blue yonder. That airframe has a very bad history, and the FAA needs to assign it to the boneyard immediately.

The plug door did not fail from what I've seen. Two retaining bolts secured by castle nuts and cotter keys had not been installed. I haven't heard who installed the plug doors.

Boeing owns the Quality of the Certified Product, namely, the aircraft. Unlike past Boeing programs, the 737MAX project relied on far more sub-contractors to own more of the engineering design and certification than ever before. By doing that, Boeing could "do more with less." Yes, fewer costly, mostly white, male, American Engineers that is. I'm glad I sold my BA stock many years ago.

Was the plug at fault? or rather Boeing's installation? Either way Boeing's stock price will continue to fall - now half of what it was 5 years ago. SELL! Before it becomes a penny stock.

Ultimately I'll bet some affirmative action inspector didn't bother to inspect something that he/she were paid to inspect. And you can't fire affirmative action hires, ya know, no matter how incompetent they are. Of course, if this is the cause....it WILL be blamed on something else.

If you thought that Joe Biden is a prolific pusher of malarkey, it seems that his wife, Jill, wants to challenge him for the crown. She would have to go a ways, but she's making a big effort with a comment that she made to the audience on the "Morning Joe" show. We already reported on her interview with Mika Brezinski which was just a horrible effort to sell Joe Biden for his re-election. But that isn't going over very well. It just makes it more apparent how desperate Biden's situation is in terms of the polls when she has to make such an effort.

I hate to repeat the by-now tired observation that Democrats are racists, but I will anyway. It’s Friday. The workweek is almost done, and it’s always fun to point out the hypocrisy of Leftists. The latest example of unintentional humor is Jerry Nadler’s unintentionally hilarious excuse for why the United States needs to import several million illegal immigrants a year: They make great menial laborers. Without illegals, vegetables would rot in the fields. [Tweets/videos] And, if I were Nadler, I would steer the topic off of food. This is actually a common assertion of Democrats, who generally know about as much about agriculture as I know about performing brain surgery.

It's a bittersweet day for college football fans. University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban has told his team that he is retiring. The 72-year-old leaves the sport as one of the most legendary coaches in college football history, with seven national championships under his belt — six of them with Bama. "Saban, 72, just completed his 17th season at Alabama, which ended in a loss to eventual national champion Michigan in the Rose Bowl. In 17 seasons, he won 201 games — tied with Vince Dooley (Georgia) for the second-most wins at a single school in SEC history, behind only Bear Bryant,

Appearing on Face the Nation, Cheney was asked about DeSantis suggesting that as president he would look at the January 6 defendants on a case-by-case basis and consider pardons in response to concerns about the “weaponization” of government and the rejected ex-congresswoman responded by declaring the governor “unfit for office.” [Video] “We have other Republican candidates for president like Ron DeSantis who have said they are open to reviewing the cases against these defendants and considering pardons for them,"

My first Townhall Column of the year was my top 2024 predictions, but one prediction did not fit with its snarky vibe. Let me make it now. In 2024, we’re going to see a massive terrorist attack here in the United States. I’m not going to sugarcoat it – I’m worried that we’re facing a terrorist threat unlike anything we’ve ever seen and that a lot of Americans are going to die. It does not have to happen, but because the people running this country are so corrupt, malicious, and incompetent, it will. The people running this country have made choices – like throwing open the border –

Republicans have had lots of opinions as to whether it was a good idea for Donald Trump to skip debating with his primary opponents thus far. Some have asked why would he need to when he is 30 points up on his next closest opponent. Some have said that it was unfair that voters were unable to see all their choices for the GOP nomination all together on one stage debating the issues. But as Trump stands a very good chance of being the Republican Presidential nominee, Democrats seem to be a bit nervous about any general election debates between Trump and Joe Biden.

Illustrating what a rolling disaster the Biden administration is, the executive-branch-controlled National Park Service decided it'd be a great idea to remove the William Penn statue that stands on the grounds of the founder of Pennsylvania's historic home. Why? Because "equity and inclusion," of course. You see, "Welcome Park," the site of Penn's historic home didn't give enough representation to Native Americans, and the federal government decided the best course of action would be to remove his statue completely and turn the place into a woke shrine. No doubt, the fact that Penn owned slaves was also a major factor in trying to erase his existence

The Senate GOP leadership’s draft border deal with the White House would reward illegal migration and encourage more foreign graduates to take jobs from American graduates, says the Immigration Accountability Project. “There’s nothing in there that [restricts immigration], in fact, it’s just going to encourage more people to come,” said Chris Chmielenski, president of the Immigration Accountability Project, adding: It essentially authorizes the Biden administration to continue to catch and release people into the country. Republican presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley once seemingly parroted a talking point used by Democrats that suggests climate change is partially to blame for mass immigration to the United States and other countries. In January 2017, Haley went before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to be confirmed as ambassador to the United Nations (UN) in then-President Donald Trump’s administration. Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR), in a written question, asked Haley about so-called “climate refugees,” as Democrats claim that mass immigration to the U.S. and other countries is partially due to global warming’s destroying crops, conditions, and communities in certain regions of the world. The Department of Justice wants the Supreme Court to stop Texas from blocking federal Border Patrol agents from a portion of the U.S.-Mexico border near Eagle Pass, southwest of San Antonio. Texas state troopers on Thursday fenced off a public park in Eagle Pass, prompting objections from city officials — and the new filing from the Justice Department. The Justice Department said armed Texas National Guard members have blockaded access roads to the area, which "effectively prevents" Border Patrol agents from getting to or monitoring a roughly 2.5-mile stretch of the border.
