Harvard University president Claudine Gay was hit with six additional allegations of plagiarism on Monday in a complaint filed with the university, breathing fresh life into a scandal that has embroiled her nascent presidency and pushing the total number of allegations near 50.
Seven of Gay’s 17 published works have already been impacted by the scandal, but the new charges, which have not been previously reported, extend into an eighth: In a 2001 article, Gay lifts nearly half a page of material verbatim from another scholar, David Canon, a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin.

SEOUL — South Korea’s opposition Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung was stabbed in the neck during a visit to the southern port city of Busan on Tuesday, the Yonhap news agency reported.
Lee was attacked by an unidentified man while touring the site of a proposed airport, Yonhap said. The assailant appeared to be a man in his 50s or 60s. He approached Lee asking for an autograph, then suddenly lunged forward and attack him, news reports said. The assailant was quickly subdued and arrested at the scene, Yonhap said. Video clips on YTN television and another posted on X showed the attack, with a man lunging at Lee

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, a vehement Donald Trump critic, changed the lyrics to one of the band’s most popular songs to take a shot at the former president and his supporters during a New Year’s Eve performance.
While performing the band’s 2004 hit song “American Idiot” Sunday night in Hollywood, Armstrong sang, “I’m not a part of the MAGA agenda” instead of the original lyrics, “I’m not a part of the redneck agenda.” The performance was broadcast on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on ABC, which was hosted by Ryan Seacrest, who also interviewed President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on

The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas once again denied that its members committed rape and sexual violence during the October 7 attacks, despite ample evidence from eyewitnesses and forensic evidence recently documented by the New York Times.
The Times of Israel reported Monday:
Hamas refutes the New York Times report on the weaponization of rape and sexual violence during the Gaza terror group’s brutal onslaught against Israel on October 7.
In a statement in Arabic and English, Hamas politburo member Basem Naim claims that the Western media and news agencies are “biased to what the Israeli propaganda says [in terms of] lies and slanders against the Palestinians and their resistance.”

To be sure, all Democrat politicians — as far as I can tell — are blatant hypocrites, completely devoid of self-awareness. That said, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is in a class of his own. Sunday, on CBS's "Face the Nation," Johnson's blatant hypocrisy and mind-blowing lack of self-awareness were on full display — in all of their magnificent idiocy.
At issue was Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's continuing transport of illegal aliens to the Windy City. Johnson told host Margaret Brennan that Abbott was “determined to continue to sow seeds of chaos” by shipping illegals to his city.
Well, what we have is clearly— clearly an international and federal crisis

Donald Trump has made news by saying, in these Truth posts, that Joe Biden’s illegal open border policy is intended to generate fraudulent votes in the 2024 election: Those posts are classic Trump. Who else in our political history–at least since the first half of the 19th century–has talked that way? No one.
But what about Trump’s specific claim that Biden has allowed millions of illegal aliens into the country so they can vote next November? It has caused a predictable amount of pearl-clutching on the Left. But will it really happen?
No doubt some of them will vote. Ballot integrity varies widely from state to state.

PALM BEACH, Florida — Former President Donald Trump ripped Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration for allowing what Trump calls an “invasion” at the U.S. border with Mexico, something the former president likened to a “migration of civilization into our country.”
Trump’s comments, which came during a two-hour-long exclusive interview at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Thursday evening, come as Biden’s administration has been involved in talks with Mexico to try to stem the tide of migrants flowing into the country. They also come as lawmakers in Washington seek an elusive deal that would fund more aid to Ukraine—a Biden administration priority—in exchange for border reforms that Republicans in the Senate want.

Three women who served in former President Donald Trump's White House are now warning against a possible second Trump term, with one of them saying it could mean "the end of American democracy as we know it."
For the first time, former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews, and former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson sat down together with ABC News "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl to discuss their roles in speaking out against Trump in the wake of Jan. 6.
"Fundamentally, a second Trump term could mean the end of American democracy as we know it, and I don't say that lightly,"

Democrats seem to be afraid to take on former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.
He's beating Joe Biden handily in the polls right now and Biden's approval is in the basement. Maybe that explains why the 14th Amendment effort against Trump has kicked into high gear at this point. They're running out of options as to how they can deal with Trump. Both the Colorado Supreme Court and the Maine Secretary of State have rendered decisions to boot Trump from the primary ballot. But they stayed or suspended the removal pending appeal/judicial review of their actions. So Trump remains on the ballot.
Meanwhile, several federal courts

After months of inaction aside from defensive shootdowns of drones and missiles, the United States Navy has finally started to take more direct action against the Houthi rebels terrorizing the Red Sea. As RedState has previously reported, the Yemini terrorist group has been attacking and hi-jacking merchant ships following the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel.
On Sunday, a Maersk tanker came under fire, with an attempt to board being fought off by onboard security forces. That's when U.S. Navy SH-60 helicopters arrived on the scene, sinking three Houthi vessels, killing multiple terrorists, and generally giving them something to think about regarding future attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed his nation on Saturday, telling them that the war against Hamas would continue for “many months,” until all of Israel’s goals had been met, including the destruction of Hamas and the return of the hostages.
Netanyahu spoke as news reports circulated that the Biden administration was pressuring Israel to begin winding down the war in January 2024 (prior to the U.S. presidential primaries), and that the fight in southern Gaza was proving slow and difficult.
The prime minister spoke about the Israeli public’s enthusiasm and support for the war effort. Everywhere he went in the country, he said, he heard the same message: “Continue! Don’t stop!”

Two brothers saved dozens of lives during the massacre by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival on October 7 by providing fire cover for escapees with weapons they found in a tank, while receiving instructions over the phone from an IDF officer. Some 360 of the 1,200 people killed in southern Israel that day were slaughtered at the outdoor festival.
According to a Channel 12 news report, rave attendees Daniel and Neria Sharabi fended off terrorists with firearms from the tank near the site of the massacre, also treating the wounded who were hiding with them.
With Daniel’s former IDF commander, Yoni Skariszewski, advising them by telephone,
