Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, a vehement Donald Trump critic, changed the lyrics to one of the band’s most popular songs to take a shot at the former president and his supporters during a New Year’s Eve performance.
While performing the band’s 2004 hit song “American Idiot” Sunday night in Hollywood, Armstrong sang, “I’m not a part of the MAGA agenda” instead of the original lyrics, “I’m not a part of the redneck agenda.” The performance was broadcast on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on ABC, which was hosted by Ryan Seacrest, who also interviewed President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on

OMG. if I had known I probably would not have been able to sleep last night. I would have wept uncontrollably into my pillow because I have turned my back on FJB and all the glorious things he has done for me and all Americans. s/o Not. FJB has done everything he possibly can (with the help of the puppet masters) to bring America to her knees and lose her sense of identity. On that level he has done a good job. Here's to hoping we can send him on a permanent vacation a year from now. So much work to do, so much repair. I doubt I will live long enough to see healing. It will take years to undo everything he has heaped upon us. As for Green Day, sing what you want. It still is America, for now anyway. PS I do not pay attention to anything the entertainment industry says and wants us to follow.

Green Day is a long known leftist pinko outfit, enough so that their music is unlistenable. Proud Democrats ... you know, idiots.

The very best thing about Green Day is a crowd of theirs singing Bohemian Rapsody prior to the show.

Still amazes me how entertainers, who depend on our goodwill to keep them performing and wealthy, will just blatantly insult over 80 million people. They have to be living in a bubble because we have proved if you 'go woke, go broke' over and over. Never heard of this guy anyway.

We attended a Green Day concert a few years ago in San Diego (our grandson dragged us). It was great, actually. Armstrong came off as more of a typical uninformed brain-dead liberal than any kind of a hard-core leftist. There is a difference.

people were laughing at this now aged (looking) quasi-punk rock guys from the 90s being total sell outs doing a New Years eve show on tv. Not that they have had a hit in 20+ years and need to be seen or anything. I all I know is Billywhatever telling an audience to spit on the cameraman shooting him at a concert many years ago. Pure trash. the kind of person that supports Biden.

Armstrong is a mediocrity who managed to put out a few catchy tunes 30 years ago. But he overrepeated the formula, the music got stale and his band appeared to be washed up, until he decided to write an album attacking George W Bush. The libtard media predictably swooned over it, reviving Gern Day's career. Trouble is he's spent the last 20 years trying to replicate that success. Trump is just an obvious target for the out of touch stoner.

Never heard of him. Would love to know the backstory on how he became part of a POLITICAL production in which Joe Biden also appeared. Did someone know of his hatred for Donald Trump and his supporters, and "arrange" for his appearance on the New Year's Eve event? Were the changed lyrics a result of his own cleverness, or were they suggested by someone else?
I've become skeptical of events that at first glance seem to be unrelated. All too often, we quickly learn "unrelated" or supposedly "spontaneous" events are from the same bag of dirty tricks, and are always designed to misinform. The Russia Hoax had nothing to do with Trump's behavior, as it was a political operation designed to get him thrown out of office. The left really doesn't want Americans electing their own leaders.
The lack of police protection fed the January 6th "insurrection." So dirty.

Jowls, crepey skin, stretch-marked paunch, crow’s feet and sleeves turning black with each tattoo bleeding into the next one to become one unrecognizable ball of dusky endodermal chalk. A show on the conformist bourgeoise Great White Way and an appearance with host Ryan Seacrest at a televised swing in’ rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party produced by Dick Clark’s descendants. What’s a 52 year-old half-witted has-been got to do to seem adolescent and edgy?

Here we all are ,,,, reading about some Marxist Socialist changing some words to try and take a sh** on Trump. FJB and his radical brotherhood had better enjoy their 30 seconds of fame, cause come November their fascist good times will come to an end.

Why they are still using the name "Dick Clark"? We are over fifty years away from Dick's heyday. It would be the same as if in the 1970's it was the "Al Jolson's Mammy's New Year's Eve". The Left are not innovative or creative. They can only steal and corrupt the past.

I've turned off Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, the liberal crap coming from that telecast has bee awful the last few years. You need to watch the Nashville Bash, Lynyrd Skynyrd performed and the American Flag was proudly displayed.

Anyone described as a "vehement Donald Trump critic" is obviously overwrought and unstable. Get the guy some help but whatever you do, don't trample on his Second Amendment right to be publicly stupid.

Green Day has always been a leftist bunch and Armstrong isn't all that good either. I actually like a good protest song and my favorite one is Fortunate Son by John Fogerty (and yes, I know he's an anti-Trumper). But that song is about how the sons of the rich and connected are very seldom sent to do the fighting. And that practice goes way back so the song is universal. Green Day is dated.
