Harvard President Claudine Gay Hit With
Six New Charges Of Plagiarism

Harvard University president Claudine Gay was hit with six additional allegations of plagiarism on Monday in a complaint filed with the university, breathing fresh life into a scandal that has embroiled her nascent presidency and pushing the total number of allegations near 50. Seven of Gay’s 17 published works have already been impacted by the scandal, but the new charges, which have not been previously reported, extend into an eighth: In a 2001 article, Gay lifts nearly half a page of material verbatim from another scholar, David Canon, a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin. That article, "The Effect of Minority Districts and Minority Representation

#9, you forgot the "/sarc off" at the end of your statement. This incompetent 'president' is not going anywhere until the cost to the organization is great enough, which is to say overwhelming. She is black, she is female, both of which provide the privilege of 'cover' so that her supporters can engage in childish name-calling, accusing people who point out her serious flaws of being 'Racist' or 'Misogynist' or some similar slurs. This is all nothing more than camouflage and distraction. The REAL reason she's not going anywhere is that she is obviously a Screaming Leftist, and the other Hard Leftists who wormed their way onto the board of governors, then installed her in her position will refuse to remove her, even as the resulting damage to the organization increases from serious, to catastrophic, to fatal. The organization's reputation, built up by centuries of hard and excellent work by their predecessors, is the only real thing of value (aside from their enormous hoard of ca$h) that the organization possesses. That hard-earned reputation, like those of Disney, Bud Light and the Catholic Church, can be easily destroyed by the actions of evil people running the organization in the present time. I believe that Harvard can still be saved, but it will require swift and decisive action by its governing board. If they delay or refuse to act to correct the present situation, then the organization will quickly go from an object of respect to one of ridicule and scorn. Once that happens -and it is happening as I write this- the organization is headed for disaster. As we have seen in many previous examples, Leftists destroy everything that they touch, and the process is happening again before our eyes..

from what I read on X, the Board asked her to resign, and she would not, and said that if they fire her she will sue. And they backed off. People are now saying, you can not fire a DEI hire, so be careful what job you fill that way. Also saying, the Board covered for her contrary to crystal clear Harvard rules about plagiarism, which apply to her not because she is president but because she was a student while plagiarizing. They broke the rules which are clear. So the Board is in trouble. The Board could have a resignation or two but Obama called up and did not want change. Veritas.

One rotten apple on top taints the whole barrel. Plagiarism is intellectual theft, cheating, and a violation of the honor code in my high school and both universities. Violations of the honor code--my private high school's honor code was modeled on UVa's honor code--were punishable by expulsion. Apparently, Harvard doesn't care. The value of their degrees is correspondingly decreasing. When the fever gets too high and leftism gets too expensive, illusions will pop like soap bubbles, and changes will come. However, it's going to require some real pain to disabuse these people of their immoral enthusiasms.

There's a fascinating new report from the Washington Post about how worried Barack Obama is about Joe Biden's chances of winning in 2024. According to the report, Obama's first concern about the campaign is about the structure, that Biden's chief advisers are in Washington, D.C., while his campaign is in Wilmington, Delaware. Obama thinks the top people should either be in Wilmington or that the people there should be empowered to make campaign decisions, because as it is now, according to the report, they have to go through D.C. Obama believes that doesn't make for an agile, quick response campaign. While Obama hasn't recommended anyone to help the Biden team,

A year ago I was confidently predicting that neither Joe Biden nor Donald Trump would be on the 2024 presidential election ballot. It used to be that local newspapers were essential for people in small towns to know what was going on. Community newspapers were where townsfolks went for local news coverage, often with a quirky, gossipy twist. Growing up, I'll always remember visiting my dad's family in the North Georgia mountains in a tiny town nestled on the border with Tennessee. Almost every time we were up there, the lead story in the little newspaper was a pot bust in the woods near some local resident's house, while a column called "Eva Dave's Coffee Break" dished on town gossip. But over time, local papers began to die.

Before the proliferation of cable channels and the narrowcasting that developed, the media had to pretend to play it down the middle. Would it play in Peoria? was the standard by which they calibrated their pitch. By the Bush years, that standard was breaking down; by 2016, it was out the window. And it remained unclear when the White House and other key U.S. officials were told about his stay at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. According to Newsweek: A group of staffers working on President Joe Biden's reelection campaign warned the president that his volunteers are quitting "in droves" over his handling of Israel's military response in the Gaza Strip.
