The only thing more uplifting than watching several prominent liberals drift rightward is the cluelessness of those on the left as to why it’s happening. This drift is obvious enough, since it includes journalists once heralded by the left such as Matt Taibbi (who won a Young America’s Foundation award) and Glenn Greenwald, and Democratic politicians, including Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (whose speech at a Daily Caller award ceremony drew many loud cheers from the conservative audience), and Sen. John Fetterman (who recently declared that “I am not a progressive”). Excellent article. Just returned from DC--reading this is so refreshing. Most people I talked to were only mildly leftist ( a huge step down from their normal rabid selves), and they seemed to question things a bit more. Not completely delivered, but the signs are there. I have a "Make Men Great Again" sweatshirt that I wore to the waterfront market in Alexandria. Not that I needed it or was seeking it but I had one person who expressed that he liked my shirt. My daughter said it was provocative. I told her that's not my problem, and I'm not into pleasing crazies. And, as long as no one steps to me to comment because they don't like my shirt, we're all good. DC! SMH. . .

A friend of mine and I were talking about this last week. We agreed that even though the left votes in lockstep, many of them don't believe the rhetoric, and once a given line is crossed, even they don't go along with the liberal mob. When things start hitting home, reality has a way of getting people's attention.

Some leftists are stupid beyond belief but many are smart but misguided. A steady diet of news sources like CNN can do that to a person. Not only have they also been adversely affected by the incredible incompetence of the Biden administration but they are also beginning to see the madness of DEI, defunding the police, open borders, inflation, giving billions of dollars to our islamic enemies and the futile attempts to convert the country to queer culture and green energy. The inevitable doom at the end of this insane path should scare everybody.

The Democrat Party has been hijacked by the socialists, transgenders, BLM, Antifa, and name any other group that’s publicly repugnant. The college students who were indoctrinated into hate, intolerance, and almost total ignorance of history have now graduated and are hard at work taking down Corporations (Disney) and any tradition or social structure they can lay their hands on. They demonstrate in support of terrorism. The normals who still make up the majority are sick of them. No wonder they’re jumping ship. How could they not?

If the leftists are scratching their heads over this then they are not the absolutely most brilliant thinkers they constantly purport themselves to be. Their arrogance is also getting in the way and preventing them from seeing things clearly. Lastly, I'm from PA and although some of Fetterman's recent stances have been welcome, I think it's a bit early to declare that he's "seen the light". I'm taking a "wait and see" attitude in his case.

With Biden's installation (not election), the radical left took over his presidency. Joe is too addled to really see what happened and now he is just a puppet clown. They did indeed try to "transform the country" too quickly into a Marxist authoritarian state and the blow-back is mounting. It remains to be seen if we can somehow save the country. It may be lost considering the Marxist tentacles wrapped so deep in our media, corporations, bureaucracy, schools and colleges. If, that is, FJB doesn't stumble the country into nuclear war. Vote, boycott woke companies and tell them why. Fight vote fraud and hope the real vote is enough to overwhelm the coming fraud.

The Golden State’s leftist Democrat-dominated legislature loves to grandstand as a champion of the downtrodden and the working poor, even if the policies they enact end up hurting those people the most. That’s certainly the case with the state’s minimum wage hike, which is set to hit in 2024. The state will raise its overall mandated minimum-wage rate from $16 an hour to $16.50 an hour overall, starting in 2024. But some industries will get an even bigger wage shock: fast-food minimum wages go up to $20 an hour starting in April. Meanwhile, workers in the health care industry will

Despite a multi-year campaign by the White House and its allies to convince the public that the economy is booming, the vast majority of Americans say they’re worse off today than they were four years ago. And despite claims that partisanship is driving the public’s sour mood, negative views about the economy and President Joe Biden’s performance are almost universal. That’s according to the latest I&I/TIPP poll of likely voters, which finds that 58% say they aren’t better off than they were four years ago – before the COVID-19 pandemic – while only 34% say they are. Meanwhile, a mere 23% of

The following is a letter, edited for relevance to a broader audience, sent to Section D, Harvard Business School (HBS), Class of 1972. The first year at HBS is spent entirely with one’s section. Its purpose was to explain my resignation as section secretary after the Harvard Board affirmed support of Claudine Gay as its president, and antisemitic intimidation remains unpunished. To my section mates: On the Dec.4 congressional hearing the university president, its meaning, and its fallout: There is no question it was political theater. In a rare show of bipartisanship, 84 Democrats joined 219 Republicans on a resolution condemning antisemitism on college campuses and calling for the presidents of Harvard and MIT to resign after they refused to condemn student calls for genocide of Jews at a House hearing. The University of Pennsylvania’s president, who was also at that hearing, has already stepped down. But even if all three of them were gone, so what? The problem is far wider and much deeper than antisemitism at three elite schools. And if you want to stamp out intellectual and moral rot driving it, start by

The new Argentinian president is a radical, a far-right outsider and a right-wing reactionary, if the press is to be believed. But he’s not at all the demon that the mental-case media claims he is. Javier Milei is the type of elected official – note that we didn’t say “politician” – that this country needs. In fact, every nation on the planet could use a Javier Milei. “No country declined as rapidly or as severely as Argentina,” Investopedia said a year ago in a post explaining the country’s relationship with socialism. “In 1989 the average inflation rate in Argentina approached 5,000%, and in March 1990 it peaked at over 20,000%.”
