Jill Biden’s creepy video, featuring a troupe of tap dancers showing off the garish Christmas decorations in the White House, prompted one journalist to comment that they are “really going for the Hunger Games as this year’s Christmas theme.” While they’re prancing around in the capital, out in the districts everyone else is struggling to pay the sky-high cost of this festive season. Haven’t bought a Christmas tree yet? It will cost you about 10% more than last year, which is on top of the 10% increase the year before, and 10% the year before that. The American Christmas Tree Association found that 78% of consumers are concerned about inflation this year.

Every republican needs to campaign by making it clear that Biden should not receive all of the blame for the deterioration of our quality of life and loss of freedoms--every democrat in the congress and senate have supported him. Please, GOP: make sure you campaign by crediting ALL democrats for the degraded conditions we have experienced during the past three years.

No Christmas Tree for me this year. I am surrounded by hundreds of live trees that have been provided by the Creator and enjoy them every day. Besides, I have enough trouble paying for the eggnog this year, which has been inflated along with everything else.

Shopping recently at Walmart. Printer paper went from $4.xx to $8.77 in less than 3 years. I notice other price increases every week. Nestle's Coffeemate has almost doubled in price. No, I'm not better off than I was 3 Christmases ago. Looking forward to my 3% Social Security increase, not!

I would venture to say that you are doing MUCH WORSE this Christmas than even a year ago-- and it is NOT about how many presents you have under your tree this year. It is the tremendous lack of buying power in your dollar, the fact that there is an INVASION that goes unchecked for political reasons to create a new America of REPLACEMENT citizens who will be given AMNESTY to eat up the government that will go into financial ruin. Mere politics go on despite our efforts to "vote them out", and that the very moral and ethical fiber based on hard work and doing for your family is denigrated to the point of CERTAIN people getting and getting away with things that ought not to happen. Rather than turn against ourselves for the new hardship of life facing US, put down all the bitterness and strife and belief that if we ELECT this man or this party that all will be made right. The Prince of Peace came to show us the way and we have turned away. He has offered us the gift of Salvation through Grace and let us begin to quiet ourselves and look to HIM for strength in our daily lives and remove the hurt and anger from us to follow the Golden Rule even in the midst of the failure of our institutions and the checks and balances so flagrantly ignored and nullified. Let's not forget that many 'republicans' are complicit and "bi-partisan" in voting for things that have caused the mess we are in now. As Charlie Brown said: "I'm not going to allow all this commercialism to ruin MY Christmas!" Merry Christmas!

Far worse off in the amount of money needed to be spent to live. My retirement money doesn't go as far as it used to. For us, we are still very comfortable, but I know many have had to start working again because retirement was no longer affordable. Dems destroy EVERYTHING, and they always do it.

The following is a letter, edited for relevance to a broader audience, sent to Section D, Harvard Business School (HBS), Class of 1972. The first year at HBS is spent entirely with one’s section. Its purpose was to explain my resignation as section secretary after the Harvard Board affirmed support of Claudine Gay as its president, and antisemitic intimidation remains unpunished. To my section mates: On the Dec.4 congressional hearing the university president, its meaning, and its fallout: There is no question it was political theater. But that does not invalidate its usefulness. The state of higher education is now front-and-center and that is very much needed. Too many colleges

In a rare show of bipartisanship, 84 Democrats joined 219 Republicans on a resolution condemning antisemitism on college campuses and calling for the presidents of Harvard and MIT to resign after they refused to condemn student calls for genocide of Jews at a House hearing. The University of Pennsylvania’s president, who was also at that hearing, has already stepped down. But even if all three of them were gone, so what? The problem is far wider and much deeper than antisemitism at three elite schools. And if you want to stamp out intellectual and moral rot driving it, start by

While the big media might not be worried about the wave of antisemitism that emerged after Israel was attacked by Hamas on Oct. 7, average Americans are. A hefty majority now call antisemitism in the U.S. a “serious” problem, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. Following the recent disturbing outbreak of antisemitism across the country, ranging from an upsurge of antisemitic demonstrations on college campuses to a spate of ugly harassment incidents against individual Jewish Americans, a majority of Americans agree there’s a big problem. In our latest national online poll,

The new Argentinian president is a radical, a far-right outsider and a right-wing reactionary, if the press is to be believed. But he’s not at all the demon that the mental-case media claims he is. Javier Milei is the type of elected official – note that we didn’t say “politician” – that this country needs. In fact, every nation on the planet could use a Javier Milei. “No country declined as rapidly or as severely as Argentina,” Investopedia said a year ago in a post explaining the country’s relationship with socialism. “In 1989 the average inflation rate in Argentina approached 5,000%, and in March 1990 it peaked at over 20,000%.”

The L.A. to Vegas train will supposedly be finished in time for the Los Angeles Summer Olympics in 2028 — just four and half years from now. Well, anything is possible. With less than a year to go in the presidential election cycle, most Americans almost always have a good idea of who will be running for president, and who won’t. That’s especially true when an incumbent president is eligible for reelection. As this month’s I&I/TIPP Poll demonstrates, that’s not the case this time around. While both of the main parties’ likely candidates — President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump — have healthy leads against potential competitors within their own parties in virtually all polls, it’s still not clear that either will even be on the ballot next year. It’s the left, after all, that has had a long and storied string of romances with actual dictators.

His hands were “covered in the victim’s blood” after he viciously beat the 44-year-old woman in the head and face, police Sgt. Jackie Dreyer said.
