The Harvard University board is under pressure to resign over its handling of the anti-Semitism furor.
In the wake of burgeoning calls for Gay to resign, faculty members are now also turning the spotlight on the other 11 members of the Harvard Corporation - the Ivy League's powerful governing body which continues to support her.
One professor has even suggested an overhaul of the governance structure to give lawmakers the opportunity to appoint board members who represent the public interest, according to the Wall Street Journal. Meanwhile, the former Harvard Medical School dean Jeffrey Flier said he told board members Tracy Palandjian and Paul Finnegan to do more to address

Ideologues will stand at the wall together on execution day. These people are absolutely evil. They deserve whatever comes their way.

I have another whole issue with her, which is the training in Pronouns. to me as a Catholic, to require me to call someone a woman who is a man, or vice versa, is requiring me to voice opinions I believe to be wrong and important. It is little if it all short of religious persecution, as it requires people to voice what they view as untruth. Because it is. Richard Levine can change his name to Rachel but he is still a man in a dress. And he he may be so crazy and fragile we must say nothing. But asking people to affirm him in the lies he demands? Requiring it as the price of a Harvard degree? No. And go away Claudine.

FTA: Professor Kit Parker said that the school faces a fork in the road and the board members must resign in order for it to choose the right path...................
Here's a suggestion: Take it. (The fork-in-the-road that is).

They are not idealists in any sense. First to take the side of murders and rapists, Hamas, by supporting that hateful woman President, and then keeping a liar, Elizabeth Warren, on their staff. Where is the idealism here? Harvard at one time was a respected school of higher learning. Now they are a joke.

It is easy. Just stop sending them government money. And all the others that get government money. Sounds simple to me, for what they are turning out for OUR money! Wasted!

Claudine Gay is getting closer to the door that is going to hit her in the butt. Once the idealism wears off, you still have the money problem haunting you and 17% reduction in applications is a bunch of money.

Liberals are underhanded in how they gain control of educational institutions and push out conservatives and bring in leftist/Marxist. This unfair coup on education is immense across many schools.

Not going to make a difference.
Harvards endowments are largely from Arab oil sheiks and other oil rich mega donors.
Oh...and don't forget the occasional billion or two from your friendly Russian oligarch(mobster) or Chinese(CCP) party member...

This bunch of self appointed elites think they can do no wrong and that everyone else is just uninformed. The Harvard Board is blind to any opinions but their own. Even with the current financial consequences and hit to Harvard's reputation; it will be someone else's fault, not theirs.

Not to mention standing with a person who openly violated the school's plagiarism policy then doing what all liberal organizations do when caught by changing the "definition" of the offense while also offering a "revision" to the document(s) in question.
I have NEVER heard of a PhD being afforded the opportunity to "revise" or "edit" their Dissertation, once approved by the Doctoral Committee and published by the Department.

The truth is that Harvard has no need for the cash from these millionaires who are upset. But they do need to avoid trashing their brand, like Bud Light and Target did.
Their priority is to continue placing people into powerful positions in our government. So if they have to throw a board under the bus to make that happen, they will.

Interesting watching trhe non-Christian Left consume itself. When one simplisticly divides people into oppressors and oppressed, villains and victims, it is only a matter of time before the interests of one set of victims conflicts with those of anolther set of victims. Which then is the villain? Which is the victim? Wait a minute, I thought First Black Anything came with an immunity pass. Well, not where another annointed victim class is concerned.

Where does Obama fit in this picture? It has been reported that he pressured the Harvard Board not to fire Ms. Gay.
Shouldn't he take some responsibility for this furor?

It's the new money coming on. Their bank account is more than overloaded. They just don't want to touch it. Compared to them Scrouge was a spend thrift.

I wonder if anyone has done a deep read of the legal papers of the Harvard Endowment. Since a lot of the endowment had a lot to do with the original purpose of Harvard, to train good Christian leaders, maybe there is some wording in there that requires the Board to maintain certain positive social standards or forfeit parts of the endowment. Same thing with the more recent donations to the endowment. Is there a Morals Clause that would force Harvard to return donations and endowment funds due to the Board, President, and protesting students supporting genocide?

@#13 - Congress could stop endowments from foreign donors and nations. Nobody gives for free. Every donor is expecting something in return. If it's anti American policy they want taught at Harvard, that's what Harvard will teach.

Additional thought: From the comments, it appears a lot of money is coming from foreign entities. There is no reason that endowment earnings should not be TAXED. The government is giving tax deductions for the gifts. It's now time to get something back.
