Last week I wrote about how a good deal of former President Donald Trump's popularity is fueled by pure spite by the people whose lives have been damaged or made harder by the Biden administration's destructive policies.(READ: Trump's Popularity in the Polls Might Not Be About His Popularity) His popularity has risen in part because the Democrats have made it very clear to the American people that they fear Trump, and if the people who've made your life miserable are telling you that they're afraid of someone, you're probably going to gravitate toward that figure and attempt to put him between yourself and them:

Presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis has announced his intent to pardon Donald Trump should he be convicted on any of the dozens of charges he faces.
The Florida Governor made the declaration Friday when confronted by a reporter in Jasper County. DeSantis told NBC News he had 'already [promised a Trump pardon] long ago.'
He then compared the situation to the one seen nearly a half-century ago between Richard Nixon and replacement Gerald Ford - who pardoned his predecessor in 1974 for crimes he may have committed to serve the country’s best interests.

Speaking at the Iowa Athletic Club in Coralville, Haley accidentally referred to Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark as 'Kaitlan Collins', the name of the rising-star CNN anchor.
'We're excited to see the Lady Hawkeyes team. What a great coach they have. Kaitlan Collins is phenomenal,' said Haley, drawing confused looks from several members of the crowd.

For Republicans, it could be a very happy new year indeed. The 2024 elections hold the potential for a trifecta: winning unified control of the federal government, including all its elected branches, for the first time in eight years.
“Could” is the operative word, however. Republicans have an opportunity, but they must capitalize on it to bring their electoral dreams to fruition. The fact that it takes more than good poll numbers and flawed opponents to win in a polarized political climate can itself be summed up in one of the most futile phrases of the past few years: the “red wave.”

On Saturday, a coalition of Muslim leaders in swing states announced they are stepping up their efforts to make sure Joe Biden (assuming he's the Democrat candidate, which is anything but certain) loses the 2024 presidential election. Why? Because he supports Israel.
The #AbandonBiden campaign officially began earlier in December, led by Muslim leaders in swing states like Michigan, Minnesota and Arizona, who disapproved of Biden’s support for Israel’s counterattacks against Hamas. After Joe Biden was purportedly elected president of the United States, he moved into the White House and still spends a good – some would say bad – 60% of his time living and “working” there. It’s convenient because it’s also the preferred residence of his make-shift physician, make-shift policy advisor, make-shift stair-assister and make-shift stage-navigator, “doctor” Jill.
The White House has also been the dog house of several canine companions of Joe. The first First Dog went by the name of Champ, until he lost his title. He died and went to the White Dog House in the sky.
It was the best thing any Biden dog has ever done.
