After the past week's Congressional hearings, the presidents of Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Pennsylvania are being exposed to an amount of publicity and scrutiny they're not used to and likely wish would go away. As we reported, the trio claimed that calls for genocide against Jews needed to be placed into context before deciding whether they violated student codes of conduct.
The backlash was swift, and so was the backpedaling. UPenn's Liz Magill wasn't able to keep her job, though, and Harvard's Claudine Gay might not be far behind.
Gay has already had a rough tenure, as investigative journalist Chris Rufo writes:

It's OK. She's black. We have no requirement that she actually do the research and come up with a meaningful dissertation all on her own.

Musk has brought attention to Rufo's X thread to the tune of over 3 million views. Rufo is the journalist who revealed Disney's Reimagine Tomorrow's "not so secret gay agenda."

D'ya think they didn't know this when she interviewed for the job earlier this summer? There are software programs these days that they run dissertations through that detects plagiarism before the defense before the committee is even begun.

Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. Plagiarism has become such a nebulous thing. Especially when you find it using a search engine that looks for common words or patterns.
As a retired academic I'd out these charges, unless she actually copied significant amounts of others work, in the same category as some woman (or man) stepping forward and saying, "40 years ago Mr.(or Mrs) X sexually harassed me! I have no proof but why would I lie?"
People in the same fields tend to read each other, and use the same vocabulary. It follows their sentence structure would be similar.

Blacks get a pass on this stuff. They are too often pushed far beyond what they are actually capable of by affirmative action...so they wind up faking it, probably out of desperation.

She didn't use similar text, she copied the exact text and did not cite sources for some of it. Why do blacks feel the need to use the conflict between blacks and whites as their topic of dissertation? It's like racism is always at the top of their minds. Michelle Obama did the same thing but her thesis was written poorly. This is what Affirmative Action in education gets you, a document that reflects the level of your intelligence all too well.

Appears to be an obvious Affirmative Action Hard Leftist hire so...... is anyone surprised?
My gut tells me that she does not have enough of a conscience or moral foundation to be ashamed.
I predict that she will not resign. They will have to drag her out of the office, with her grasping claws leaving a set of scars across the desk top.
Don't believe me?
Wait and See!

No surprise here and most of us who have followed the travesty of affirmative action over the years also see the parallel trend with the "dumbing down" of America where admission test scores aren't used and the only thing that counts has to fit the WOKE agenda. Plagarism or outright fantasy has hit the halls of academia with studies that bolster the racist narrative that they are always oppressed.

Among academics, stealing someone's work and calling it your own is the worst of the worst. When more big donors announce they are closing their checkbooks, Claudine will be forced out of office.

Shocking. I was convinced that she was appointed on merit.
She probably had someone else handle the task of locating the passages that she plagiarized.

Having written more than my share of research papers, I agree with #4. You have to be very, very careful when using someone else’s material. It’s exhausting. But, if you follow the rules, put someone else’s words in quotes and cite your sources, you should be ok. The funny thing is that universities have really cracked down on plagiarism in the last couple of decades. I can only guess why hers was allowed to stand.

This has probably been known for a long time but suppressed because diversity trumps all. Only now that the whole country has seen how awful she is does it surface. I predict that even this won’t humble her enough for her to resign.

From the small sample of plagiarists I've either known or can recall hearing of, she is the first 1) woman and 2) black. So it's more difficult for me to claim affirmative action or her race are to blame than to Occam's Razor into it that she's just a cheater and a liar who's lazy and has an inferiority complex . . . like all the other plagiarists of history.

So haven't we figured out yet that most of these people are frauds at some level or another?
This kind of stuff is very disheartening and goes a long way towards explaining the moral and ethical morass in which this nation is mired. Personal integrity no longer rules in our national life and affairs.

Nothing to see her folks. As a Black Christian Conservative Ultra Super Duper MAGA Trump supporter let me fill you awesome people on a few facts. Dear Claudine is Black, female (I guess), leftist and a Biden supporter. She will get a pass. Also due to the fact instead of making sure the students are being taught the required college subjects. They are instead being indoctrinated into hating America and its people who don't follow the woke leftist dogma. It's pathetic really but typical from those in charge of our institutions of higher learning.
