The Ignorance of the Anti-Israel Mob Beggars Belief

‘From the river to the sea,’ chant young middle-class Westerners. Yet many of them don’t even know which river and sea it is. All over the Western world, armies of Left-wing students are marching in support of Palestine. Touching though it is to see the young taking an interest in politics, I find the ferocity of their passion somewhat curious. Not because these Western students live thousands of miles from Palestine. But because many of them seem to know next to nothing about it.

Comments:

Neither do they know that 'Palestine' was not a country or a nationality. British Mandate Palestine ended in 1948, while that stupid flag they are waving wasn't concocted until 1964 and has never flown over the capital of the fictitious country of 'Palestine'. The people in question are Arabs. They are decendants from the Arab conquerors and colonizers from when the 7th Century caliphate was established. The Jews have inhabited the region since the late Bronze Age.

This ignorance of young middle-class Westerners you speak of is not just limited to the Israeli-Gazan conflict; we've all seen videos posted on Youtube showcasing just how utterly ignorant our college-age kids are. People couldn't name the ocean to the East of North America, couldn't name what country America gained its independence from, couldn't name the US capitol...its astonishing to me that basic questions about history & geography showcase the failure of the US education system. But, these same kids are experts when it comes to gender ideology, white supremacy, race reparations, taxing the rich (!), climate change and victimhood. In other words, we've allowed the teachers and teacher's unions to gain power over our children by literally pouring buckets of woke ideology into their heads. As a result, our kids are woefully ignorant of real world problems and instead focus upon pseudo-intellectual garbage meant only to divide us. Randi Weingarten, I'm talking about you.

The sad fact is that instead of being taught the truth and how to think in high school and college, they have programmed to spout hateful propaganda of the extreme left. The are what Lenin called “useful idiots.” They are mindlessly shouting approval of the Hamas barbaric slaughter of defenseless Israelis. It is like supporting a hoard of rapist and murders and blaming the victims for what the rapists and murders did. This is totally irrational and evil.

Sometimes I think the whole purpose of the new moral theories is to avoid the need to read history. Completely novel concepts such as it all depends on skin or gender so I don't have to know anything. At. All.

Pinal County, Arizona, Sheriff Mark Lamb claimed Saturday that after being asked to speak at a Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) event this summer, he was uninvited Friday because of his conservative politics. "We were pretty disappointed by a call we got yesterday," Lamb said in a Twitter video on his "Mark Lamb for U.S. Senate" handle. "For those of you who don’t know, we lost our 22-year-old son our 11-month-old granddaughter and our soon-to-be daughter-in-law in a tragic car accident in December." He added that the suspect who crashed into them has since been charged with DUI.

There was not a bit of sugarcoating, Sunday, from ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos on a brand new poll from ABC and the Washington Post. “This poll is just brutal for President Biden!” Stephanopoulos said. Indeed, the silver linings were just about impossible to find for the White House. The poll put Biden’s approval rating at 36 percent — down 6 points from February and an all-time low in that particular survey. The survey also showed Biden getting trounced in a hypothetical 2024 matchup with former President Donald Trump, 45-38.

Twitter users recoiled after President Biden gave intimate details of his treatment in a medical facility Tuesday. Biden was speaking about healthcare policy in Virginia Beach, Virginia, when he told a story about a nurse he said was named Pearl Nelson. "She'd come in and do things I don't think you learn in nursing school," he said. She'd whisper in my ear, I couldn't understand, but she'd whisper, and she'd lean down and actually breathe on me to make sure there was a human connection," Biden continued.

Pope Francis recently shocked many by positing parity between Vladimir Putin and Russia on one hand, and Ukraine and NATO on the other. The Holy Father insisted both are to blame for the raging war. In stark contrast to the "Holy Alliance" of Saint John Paul II, Ronald Reagan, and Margaret Thatcher who deployed a brilliant strategy to defeat Soviet communism, Jorge Mario Bergoglio has been channeling his youthful leftism again in a bumbling effort to relate to Russia.

The Biden administration has, at long last, finally decided to follow the law — only just a bit. And it really doesn't want people to know about it either way, which is why the announcement was made on Good Friday afternoon. After refusing to comply with a court order requiring him to sell leases for oil and gas exploration on federal land last year, Biden is finally succumbing to the pressure of high gas prices. That's the good news. The bad news is that he is selling a mere fraction of the leases the government would normally sell. This probably belongs in the category of "better than nothing."

More than 500 Harvard faculty members supported University President Claudine Gay in a letter to the school's board Sunday, following intense blowback from a congressional hearing about the rise in antisemitism on campus, where Gay failed to clearly state whether calls for the genocide of Jews violated the Ivy League school's rules. The Harvard Corporation and the Harvard Board of Overseers, the university's second-highest governing body, met Sunday amid mounting pressure from donors and lawmakers to remove Gay from her post.

After the past week's Congressional hearings, the presidents of Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Pennsylvania are being exposed to an amount of publicity and scrutiny they're not used to and likely wish would go away. As we reported, the trio claimed that calls for genocide against Jews needed to be placed into context before deciding whether they violated student codes of conduct. The backlash was swift, and so was the backpedaling. UPenn's Liz Magill wasn't able to keep her job, though, and Harvard's Claudine Gay might not be far behind. Gay has already had a rough tenure, as investigative journalist Chris Rufo writes:

The policies aren’t likely to change the planet’s temperature by even one-tenth of a degree, but they might just destroy the 21st-century American industrial economy as we know it. First, Team Biden announced it will stop production of all new coal plants in the United States. This comes on the heels of President Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency saying this year it would impose new power-plant emission regulations that are virtually impossible for coal plants to comply with. The bottom line: no more coal. Period.

As Cop28 in Dubai enters its final hours, the emotional weight of the moment is hard to bear. I find myself thinking of a six-year-old boy called Desmond I met in Turkana county, Kenya, who died from severe acute malnutrition on the same day. His death was the result of a climate-induced drought that has left millions of people on the brink of starvation in the Horn of Africa. I want the negotiators deciding the outcome of Cop28 to know Desmond’s story. Because in the end, the climate crisis is not about pledges, statistics, reports or activists. It’s about human suffering and ruined lives. It’s about death.
