Joe Biden has apparently noticed that the price of everything is much higher on his watch than a few years ago. He is now asking sellers to just lower their prices.
As a viral commercial once said. That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.
Companies don’t lower prices just because inflation is politically inconvenient for the president and his party. (X) From the New York Post: Biden admits prices ‘too high’ but blames sellers for 18% inflation
President Biden acknowledged Monday that prices are still “too high” and argued that companies should lower them after an 18% jump in consumer costs since he took office.

You see folks? That's why we aren't in charge. Why didn't any of us think to just tell everyone to lower prices?

Joe..start this process. Begin with a 20% whack on the salaries of the executive office, and on the costs of your personal air taxi. The next day, just cut the price of government by 20%. See how easy this is ?

Brilliant strategy to control inflation. Like King Canute, commanding the tide, order corporations to lower prices below cost. Shame them if they don't. Otherwise - blame Trump.

Receipts - costs of goods sold = gross margin. That formula is not going to be changed to help Joe's dismal chances of reelection although somebody is manipulating the price of gasoline and has been since September. The millions of people who can no longer afford Big Macs drive the prices up even higher for those who can or are addicted to fast food. Same with groceries and other expenses. For the first time I am seeing huge sales on expired vegetables and baked goods that people simply can not afford to purchase when fresh. Joe's spending habits along with having incompetent people manipulating transportation, interest rates, crime, business-killing regulations and lying about all of it are not helping him either.

What a brilliant man is our Glorious Leader. I bet all the economics professors in the country are marveling at his insight. Now, we taxpayers have been inspired and just lower the amount of money we pay the government which in turn will lower all the salaries of those employed by them. I love it.

Well, easier than commanding prices to be lower, just command that the dollar is worth more. Sign an executive order, schmoe. "From now on, a Dollar is worth two Dollars, until further notice."
There! we're all two times richer! Ain't gummint wonderful?

I am old enough to remember when Jimmy Carter decided to limit the price of gasoline. There were immediately massive shortages, and we all had to wait in ridiculously long lines (like 6+ hours) to get 10 gallons of gas once a week.
I was working at a shop one summer, and that was my job every week -- to take the bosses car and wait in line to get him gas. So you know that Senile Joe bidet's puppet masters will mandate this tomorrow if they are making bidet "suggest" it today!!!
You would think that the president of the United States would have taken an Economics 101 class at some point in his life. But I guess that doesn't apply to appointed puppet presidents!!!

Joe, take the Fed's boot off the necks of the oil companies.
Let them produce.
Fuel prices will come down, the cost of production and transport will come down, and general prices will follow.
It's really not that complicated, but it goes against The Narrative.
