Elon Musk has shared stunning footage of his newly-released Cyberbeast overtaking a Porsche 911 in a drag race and beating a F-350 Diesel in an off-road truck pull. The billionaire X CEO (formerly Twitter) took to his online platform to share demonstrations of the Cyberbeast's accelerative abilities in two videos. In one clip, the titanic stainless steel truck was seen outrunning the 2023 Porsche 911 down a quarter-mile track, while also towing another 911 behind.

It's still an EV, which means it's a very fancy glorified golf cart in my book. If a replacement battery for a regular Tesla car costs $25,000+, what are the batteries for a monstrosity like this going to cost? But, hey, if it floats your boat, go for it. It's still a free country (no matter how much the Demon-Rats are trying to destroy it). But I will take the F350 or the Porshe 911 any day of the week!!! 5 minutes to fill it up, then a few hundred miles down the road before another 5-minute fill up.

You can go to Germany and meet the mechanics who built the Porsche 911 engine and installed it in your car. You'd have to go to China to meet the ones who made Tesla's battery possible, but they wouldn't let you meet with them, since they're Uighur slaves.

Yeah, so? Electrics are quick off the line but is that what people want, or reliable long distance driving and 3 minute fill ups.

Great. All the accountants in their F350s around here already drive like idiots. Can’t wait till their monster trucks can out accelerate a 911.

Toys for the wealthy. Reminds me of those Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogs, full of $1000 stocking stuffers. I shouldn't squawk, at least for 2 more months, since my company stamps connector terminals that go in them. But the corporate buzz for EV's has died down considerably.

Now let's be serious. Given the choice of a Christmas gift, there is no doubt I would be wedging myself into the 911 in a second. A beautiful vehicle that has been fine tuned over decades. The Tesla may win the "drag race", but a coast to coast race? While waiting for your nice long "charge", the Porsche would be roaring across North America. Mr Musk's genius is not the Tesla itself. Rather, he was able to convince many people that EVs can be supported by the current electrical grid. At this point, a very long extension cord makes more sense.

The F-350 will go 350 miles. The Tesla will go 35. What will cost $1000 in repairs for the IC vehicle will probably cost $5000 to $10000 for the EV.

Well, it looks like the Tesla could tow a military surplus trailer with a diesel MEP on it that would continuously charge the truck as it drove. That way they'd only have to stop to fill up the diesel tank every 6-8 hours, depending on the fuel consumption.

It may be towing a 911 behind it, but it won't tow it very far without a recharge. If you want to go on a trip towing a trailer with this beast you had better have a gas powered generator in that trailer.

Yep impressive......except for RANGE and "refuel time". EVs suck in the real world. That 911 can drive 500-600 miles and then refuel in 5 minutes and do it again. The stupid EV "truck" will drive maybe 200 (if that in the real world with any load) and then take hours to "refuel" to only 80% full since the last 20% takes many hours to put in. EVs suck in the real world.

President Joe Biden’s administration is committing an additional $3 billion to help developing countries fight climate change, the White House announced Saturday. The allotment will go toward the United Nations’ Green Climate Fund and will be pledged by Vice President Kamala Harris at the COP28 summit in Dubai, according to the White House. The U.S.’ pledge will bring the fund to its largest level so far, as other countries like France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan have already made similar commitments that totaled $9.3 billion, according to Bloomberg, who first reported the funding.

Biden’s Department of Justice has slapped a whopping $700,000 fine on Covenant Transport Inc. and the affiliated Transport Management Services LLC, both stellar examples of Tennessee’s robust transportation sector. The recent decision by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to impose a $700,000 fine on Covenant Transport Inc., a Christian trucking company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, raises significant concerns about the overreach of federal power and the disregard for the realities faced by businesses in regulating their workforce. The DOJ, under Joe Biden’s regime, claims this measure is to resolve alleged violations of the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) by Covenant and its affiliated entity, Transport Management Services LLC.

Donald Trump's ambitious proposals for sweeping federal actions if he wins a second term have left some wondering if the era of the small-government conservative has ended. In campaign videos and social media posts, Trump has laid out what he calls Agenda47, his dramatic vison for a federal government more active in matters usually left to the states. He proposes building 10 'freedom cities' featuring flying cars on federal land, as well as a free national 'American Academy' that bans 'wokeness or jihadism,' funded by punitive levies on private universities.

I'm not so sure that Congress and the President want to approve even more money for Israel until we know that there's actually somebody running Israel that even the Israelis support." Scarborough obviously detested Netanyahu and, in his tirade, accused him of ignoring the dangers in Gaza, focusing instead on the West Bank.
