Target CEO Brian Cornell suggested that the backlash the retail giant faced back in May over its LGBTQ Pride displays was the first time some team members claimed it was "not safe" at work. (snip) Consumers' Research executive director Will Hild objected to Cornell’s comments. (snip) "He is the one who made Target stores unsafe for children, for the children of his customers, for children of his employees," Hild continued. "And yet he wants to deflect and put the blame back on his own customer base. He's basically blaming you, the customer, for his mistakes."

Oh for heavens sake. I am sitting in front of my computer and I do not "feel safe" either. A Target team member may be ready to HARM me.
Suck it up baby. No one is safe.

Poor snowflake - not safe at work, because we all know the violence by anti-LGBTQRSXYZ+ people.
Oh wait, there was none except the use of our 1st amendment and our wallets.

Target, formerly Dayton’s. Far left idiot former Minnesota governor Mark Dayton is a heir to Dayton fortune.
Boycott Target.

Oh No! A few snowflake employees felt unsafe because normal people objected to Target's In Your Face Pride displays. Is Dayton on a mission to destroy the Target brand? Sure looks like it.

Here's free advice. Don't put up the displays again and offer those stupid rainbow-colored clothes. Problem solved.

Will Hild's comments succinctly destroys and shuts down Cornell's statement.

Hundreds of white 'teens' wearing MAGA hats will rampage through Target stores stealing everything not nailed down. I get it.

Target has become a political activist organization, rather than a business.

The article really doesn't do the interview justice. I actually watched the entire interview, live, on CNBC. He started the interview talking about how he has had to "work with" and "educate" prosecutors on what happens when they allow thugs to steal from their stores. To paraphrase, he said, "we have to explain that it is bad for a neighborhood when we have to close a store because that creates a loss of jobs and it eliminates a safe, reliable source for people to get the goods and services they need." First, he is explaining this like it's not big deal that he's having to "teach" a prosecutor why stealing is wrong. It was completely absurd. He then follows that up with a whole segment about supply chain issues and getting that right, yada, yada and then he has the NERVE, after he just talked about closing stores because of violence and theft, to say that the whole "Pride" debaucle was the first time EVER, EVER, that his team members felt unsafe in their stores. What a load of absolute crap.
After the interview, Andrew Ross Sorkin (one of the 3 hosts of the show) who is the biggest snowflake in the world, went on an absolute diatribe about how awful, unsafe, horrendous, (insert other adjectives here), it was that EXTREMISTS were making people at Target feel unsafe. He was just horrified by it. I watch CNBC almost every morning and I don't think I've ever seen him get that upset about any issue, including the current Israeli war. He went on and on about further marginalizing marginalized groups. To Becky Quick and Joe Kernen's credit, they did not buy into his BS and even pushed back on him after it was clear he was not going to stop talking about it. In the end, I was almost embarrassed for him.

IIRC, it is members of the lgbtqwxyz+++ groups that are always threatening and/or suing straight, normal people. No lgbtqwxyz+++ bakers or flower shop owners have been harassed, that I can recall.

The Democrats may have stolen my vote at the ballot box, but I can still vote with my wallet and I won't shop at Target ever again.

Rats!! I've been boycotting Target since way back when they ran the Salvation Army bell-ringers off their stores. So all I can do is keep on keeping on the boycott.

If you want your female customers to feel safe, you don't tell grown men they're welcome to use female restrooms and dressing rooms whether the women like it or not.
Target took sides against female customers, and moved on to "displays" of clothing moms and dads found offensive. No telling how many customers have had it, and will never come back.

I shall continue my boycott of Target, thank you. It started with the restroom madness. I am aware and have always been aware of which restroom is for me.

I went into a Target a few months ago. It had a weird feel to it; kind of like K-Mart had the year before they closed. Few employees, few customers, not much merchandise.

So, I guess those same employees felt perfectly fine when hundreds of black teens ransacked Target stores, breaking the windows, stealing all of the merchandise and tearing down the display equipment.

I've not entered a Target store since they opened the rest rooms to anyone who wanted to enter because I felt unsafe.

Well, I might have cared if Target had cared about the safety of their customers when they opened the bathrooms and dressing rooms to perverts.

I haven't been in a Target since the Perverts running the stores opened the ladies restrooms to the other Perverts.
No plan to go back. Ever.
