A McDonald's customer has voiced her fury at the fast food chain for not having any items priced at $1 on its 'dollar' menu - as she raged over the 'out-of-hand' price increases that the burger giant has implemented over the past few years.
After making a recent trip through the chain's drive-thru, Anne Arroyo, from Ohio, took to TikTok to share her frustrations with McDonald's with her followers.
She showed that although the fast food restaurant advertised a 'dollar menu', every item was priced above $1.

We used to stop at McDs by preference when traveling and reasonably often lunch whennnin town.
They lost our business permanently when they shut down their insideceatingvforvtwo years, and dropped most of the items I ordered. My standard order was a side salad, a regular (small) burger and a fruit parfait. All salads and the parfait were dropped.
I intend to never again go into a McDs.

Yeah, and prices went up 25% at Dollar Tree.
I bet she voted for Biden.
Sweetie, start your own fast-food restaurant and see how well you can be profitable with a $1 menu.

She's blaming McD's but according to my quick research McD's predominantly donates to Republicans. So I can't blame McD's. Everyone knows it's Biden's fault.

I still remember the commercials where they advertised a burger, fries and coke and get change back from your dollar.
But I dont go there then or now. Not my demographic.

How many remember how Motel Six and Super 8 Motels got their names.
Young people cannot imagine that a motel room could cost $6 or $8.88?

When Mickey D's pays a minimum wage of $15/hr for servers. etc., the cost is passed on to the consumer. So instead of $5 for a Quarter Pounder, the cost is now $7.50. This is not rocket science. Easy solution - don't eat out. Buy ground chuck and make your own Quarter Pounders. BTW, raising the minimum wage doesn't guarantee better service nor a correct order.

Another reason we won't go into McDs it the damned self order screens. I hate them, won't use them. Nearly impossible to make an order with a person.
Bye, I won't ever be back.

I had my first McD in several years, what a disappointment.
It was 2 items for 3 dollars, so I added a small French fries, it came to 8 dollars plus Tax.
I questioned them about paying 5 dollars for the fries, but they wouldn't budge.
Will never go back.
Wendy 's has the 5 dollar Biggy Bag, which has the choice of 3 different sandwiches, plus 4 chicken nuggets, small fries and a small drink. This is a winner!!!

If fast food is your main source of nutrition, you've got a problem.
I enjoy a breakfast sandwich or burger at McDonald's, no question, but no more than a couple of times a month.

McD's should not have a dollar menu if everything costs more than a dollar. That being said, they don't control the price of beef, energy, or transportation. This female customer needs an economics class.

Fast food prices started to rise disproportionately during the Obama reign of error. Joe and the Washington circus just made it worse. The campaign against eating beef began back then so I suspect there is pressure from the left to have them all go vegan by keeping beef prices high. By the time McDonalds converts to food kiosks to foil the $20 per hour morons, you won't be able to punch a button for a real burger at any price. Do what you had to do during college and leaner days, pack a cooler when you travel. BK is even worse than they are.

At our Wendy's the Biggie Bag is $6. Cheaper than the rest of the menu. My biggest surprise is how much a small order of fries costs and McD's hash brown potato at $2.19!!

Do the math. At $15.00 an hour minimum wage, what do you expect? Plus, higher utility bills, flour costs, and hamburger meats! .....and you want a dollar menu item?

McDonald’s prices are high because the things Biden has done to create cost of doing business. Starting with raising the minimum wage Everything costs more due to the scarcity of gas resulting from pipelines being shut down. Our dollar has no value because the government keeps printing money. Have you noticed rent, food electricity etc costs a lot more. Well it costs more for McDonald’s so they have to raise prices to cover those costs.

I love McDonalds. For $5 I get a delicious breakfast sandwich and coffee. The only pita was when I lived near a sanctuary city and those gals did not hablay Englay and always got my order wrong.
But I still tipped the cap to all who work there. And all who struggle to learn English. LEts leave McDonalds alone. Its not our problem.

Yeah we can blame 15.00 minimum wage but tell me how many of you could live on that wage, none. Corporate greed and the profits they enjoy are killing us. It’s a two headed dragon. If government gets involved and regulates the profits then capitalism is in jeopardy, do we want more regulation, no we don’t. Basically its the share holders and CEO that are the greedy pigs that don’t give a crap about us, the very same people who decides who the President will be

It's called inflation. The wife was having a popcorn snack during our Scrabble game. The bag was large and extremely puffed up with air. Net weight - about 6.5 ounces. Yay!

When you raise the minimum wage for those who work at McDonalds you raise the price of their sandwich.
Just like when the Government taxes big business the price of everything you buy goes up.
They aren't taxing big business they are taxing YOU.
Why is that so hard to understand.?

# 25, it's hard for many to understand because they do not or cannot connect the dots. They simply blame the retailer, the power company or "greedy corporations" for higher prices. The Powers that Be know this, and very effectively play upon this ignorance to garner votes.

Flipping burgers is not supposed to be a living wage, its for high school kids to make a few bucks and learn the work ethic. At $15-20/hr most teens are not productive enough to make $20/hr so they can't get that first job.

Funny what happens when you pay everybody $15. An hour including the guy pushing a broom.
Now your $15. Has a buying power of $7.

It is up to McDonalds customers to control the pricing. If the pricing is too high then find a different restaurant to dine.

If you are carrying any case, spend it soon because the next dollar you get will buy less than the last one and tomorrow your cash will buy less than today. And don't try to solve this by leaving it in the bank, because inflation really outstrips your account's interest rate.
