More than 200 faculty members at Columbia University said Tuesday they were “appalled by the spate of antisemitic incidents” on the Manhattan campus, a day after scores of their colleagues signed a letter defending students who supported Hamas’ brutal Oct. 7 terror attack. The new letter came after Jewish students rallied on campus to blast the administration’s “inaction” on what they called an “unsafe” atmosphere in the weeks since the attack, due to at least one attack on an Israeli student, death threats and rampant hate speech and vandalism. Close the place down and send all students home until the leftist idealists get their act together. They are obviously not going to classes or learning anything useful. It's only a matter of time before one of the Antifa/terrorist wannabes kills somebody. Go after Soros and the other old fools who are financing this garbage.

Race politics and bad political education begets antisemitism. Stop teaching them to question and debate everything; start with truth and work your way there. Truth is not relative; truth is truth. God is real. That's a really great start. Let the demons squeal; they'll get over it.

The Democrats know they really should be killing Republicans in the polls right now, except they aren’t for reasons they seem unable to fully understand. I don’t mean that as an insult of their intelligence. It’s probably closer to the opposite actually. It takes a lot of brain power to create the kind of insulated partisan bubble that many progressive live in these days. Pamela Paul has a new column for the Times in which she explores the ideas of John Judis and Ruy Teixeira, authors of a new book titled “Where Have All the Democrats Gone?” The gist is that Democrats just aren’t as appealing as they think they are.

Tramp cargo ships of murky registration love it when the world’s attention is focused on land-based conflicts. One looks very much like the other – ubiquitous rust buckets of the sea – floating serenely, aimlessly on ill-defined missions between ports. They also, being in such rough condition, could be expected to break down a lot…and so they seem to. When no one’s looking, they’ll sometimes come to a stop over top of important things lying on the seabed beneath them. Like. for instance, the cables and pipelines that run communications, electricity, or natural gas between countries separated by seawater. In some cases, these are lifelines of one sort or another
